Since the 3.0.8 patch I'm having a little more difficulty than usual solo questing as a resto druid. I miss more frequently, roots are resisted more frequently and I'm stunned more frequently. I'm wondering if it would be beneficial for me to begin collecting some moonkin gear? I usually use spell power potions, elixirs, flasks and/or foods. Should I be swapping SP for a different stat when solo questing?
Any advice would be very much appreciated and I apologize in advance if this is an inappropriate question for these forums.
I have been wondering about a few rogue things.
I have seen some people with my gear using 2 sinister revenges instead of a webbed and sinister? Is this better?
I have access to another sinister so i was wondering if anyone had an opinion?
Well I guess I'll be the first to take a stab at this build...
If you aren't going to be using OB, then why put points into Annihilation. I know about the 3% crit it adds but the points are better spent elsewhere. I personally would put those 3 points into Runic Power Mastery which will be able to throw 4 Frost Strikes when your RP is full.
Also your rotation should be so tight that you won't need Epidemic. I don't know why you didn't pick up Virulence because most of your DPS is from spells so switch the points in Epidemic and Outbreak into Virulence 3/3.
What do you know, we have a cookie-cutter 0/44/27 Build.
As for Rotation, do something like
PS > IT > BS > BS > HB > FS Dump
PS > IT > HB > IT > IT > FS Dump
As for weapon speeds, you might want to go slow/fast to increase FS (and PS and BS) Damage. Though if all you have are fast weapons, those should still do fine.
With Glyphs, you'll want the IT, FS, and Ghoul Glyph.
Also you might want to read through this whole thread before posting. There have been many posts of 0/44/27 builds and why each talent is chosen and what's best.
alright, i read a decent ammount, but thank you for your input. I will alter the spec according to your ideas as well
I am trying to substain some very good dps, I am just not sure what the problem is at the moment. I have my rotation down very well, I am just wondering if I should be using diff weapons, gem'n different. Basically for a mut rogue I am trying to find out the hit/crit/ap I need to be pushing out some very good dps. I know most of you here are already good, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks D
fury is the spec you want, there is no rotation, more a priorization: WW > BT > Slam! (this apply in almost all cases, the others can be found be reading this forum think it was something like you can delay BT for 0.5 and WW for 1 sec)
Pretty sure the comments on Wowhead say that it procs off of rupture/garrote/DP, but yeah, I wouldn't imagine it being more useful than our current best trinkets.
Comments on WoWhead are about as informed and useful as the Rogue class forums on WoW site. I really would not trust the mechanics of anything except how to breath to those comments.
Anyway, I was curious about the 4 piece T7.5; I'm a little lost as to why the 4 piece is beneficial to Mutilate. 3 energy knocked off is cool and all, but on a short fight (see; anything that is is 3 minutes or less) it doesn't seem like you truely get the benefit of the bonus. Is it possible that taking Recluse, Adroit, and Leggings and then 2 pieces of the T7.5 is a better alternative that yields an overall greater benefit?
Im just wondering if anyone has done number crunching on a good balance between expertese/hit/BV
i kno expertese and hit are important for threat. Im looking at for maximizing threat btw. But just how much does stacking BV lets say instead of expertese work out for threat? i can get 13% expertese if i stack everything i currently have. im still missing the boots from thaddius and back from 10 man sarth but is it better to stack expertese until im capped then go for more BV/hit? or is it better to balance it more with my 13% expertese im at now and just get what i can.
So I've been wondering what rune is the best choice for personal dps with the 0/32/39 spec. Cinderglaicer or Razorice? I don't really care how much I'm buffing others etc, I want to know which offhand rune will give me the highest DPS numbers.

Another long time reader, first time poster here. Even I now am getting tired of having to read through these pages and see posts like this. There is sooo much information in this thread (yes, sometimes a lil too much) that even with there being so much, doesn't take *that* long to either do a search, or skim through the pages.
There's also a separate thread, simple questions simple answers or something. Its probably already been asked a dozen times there as well.
Please folks, spend a lil time doing some homework for yourselves, otherwise this thread simply gets too cluttered.
As far as RI vs CG on offhand goes. I personally use RI, as I feel helping to buff the raid (mages) as a whole is of more benefit than stroking my own epeen. Personal choice of mine. However I do remember reading that the numbers seem to sway slightly more in CG's favor for your own personal dps.
Revisiting the 21 sec rotation. The 1 sec wait times are there on purpose.
Putting abilities here results in delaying the upcoming judgement and thereby increasing the duration of the cycle.
There are already 2 places within the cycle where you can put other abilities.
1 after your second judgement and 1 at the end of the cycle after the last crusader strike
The cycle does not account for hammer of wrath.
This is a strong enough ability with a short enough cooldown that extending the cycle definitely provides a substantial boost in DPS
Since there is some confusion: here's what you actually get from a DPS ability point of view.
Every 21 second cycle: 3 judgements, 3 crusader strikes, 2 divine storms, 2 consecrates, 1 exorcism
Every 2 cycles you also get a holy wrath cast in
Every cycle is the same apart from what ability you use at the global cooldown spot at the end of the cycle (you have holy wrath, divine plea and resealing to choose from, pretty much)
Attempting to squeese more exorcisms or holy wraths in will result in postponing the entire cycle.
These 2 abilities just don't do enough damage on their own to motivate such a choice
Ideally this should net you a small benefit over FCFS due to avoiding judgement pushbacks and the like.
The difference however, will not make or break your class, so if you feel that the rotation is not for you: just don't use it
Long break in the post to separate 2 different points
On to the venture co. libram of retribution.
With 2 casts per 21 seconds of divine storm this nets 16/21 seconds uptime (or just a bit over 3/4)
From the positioning of the divine storms in the rotation the crit rating bonus ends up applying to the first and third crusader strike aswell as the second and third judgement.
Now here's where we get into master class: the first divine storm is cast at 1.5 secs into the rotation, which means the crit bonus lasts until 9.5 secs into the rotation.
at the 8.5 sec mark I've recommended casting exorcism (which means exorcism would get the crit bonus), HOWEVER crusader strike becomes available at the 9 second mark, so if you should wish you can opt to always put the crusader strike here instead and cast exorcism right after.
Doing this will postpone the upcoming divine storm slightly, but not to the extent where it will cause pushback on your upcoming judgement (which means your rotation will still be a friendly 21 seconds)
Summary:
The 73 crit rating from your libram will be up and affect your melee hits and seals 16 out of the 21 seconds of the cycle, which is quite close to max.
The bonus will also be applied to 2/3 judgements, 2/3 crusader strikes and 1/1 exorcism OR 2/3 judgements, 3/3 crusader strikes 0/1 exorcisms depending on how you choose to place your abilities
Well that was quite the rundown of useless information. Avitus has time and again shown the FCFS is the way to go and way easier for the normal raider to comprehend than all of this stuff posted above. Seriously, I would love to see some of your WWS compared to others of equal gear that just go with FCFS. I can almost promise you that FCFS will win more often than not. All of these rotation posts are getting old.
Before I begin, I would like to first say HELLO! to all because I am first-time poster, but long-time reader of this forum. I just have 3 quick questions.
1) Considering Hit Cap (+8% Hit) and High Crit Strike Rating (+35% Crit), what is the best overall Ranged Weapon for PvE DPS? My personal opinion is that it is the Nesingwary 4000 with an Inscribed Monarch Topaz(+102 Attack Power & +29 Crit Strike Rating) in the socket (Yes, the Inscribed Monarch Topaz is in the game now!), but I have also heard other weapons such as the Enovoy of Mortality being better.
2) Considering Hit Cap (+8% Hit) and High Crit Strike Rating (+35% Crit) again, what would be the best overall Boot enchant for PvE DPS, Icewalker or Greater Assault (+32 Attack Power)?
3) Considering Hit Cap and High Crit, what is the 4-Set(DPS Set) Bonus worth in terms of PvE DPS because I am thinking of replacing my 25Men T7 DPS Helm for the Obsidian Greathelm, but don't know if it is worth it to break the 4Set Bonus. I would also like to add that I am missing the Expertise Dodge Cap (Behind) by only 0.25% if it is relevant.
My Warrior's Stats Unbuffed & in Berserker Stance Are:
4251 Attack Power
40.73% Crit Strike
10.19% Hit + 3% (Precision) = 13.19%

Reason: Forgot to ask 1 more question
Thanks for the quick reply. i have downloaded bad kitty to help with debuff application and will download rawr immediately. i will also start regemming for hit since i am not capped (or anywhere close )
which weapon Betrayer of Humanity or Armageddon, paladin has Divine Strength and will be raiding (so count on BoK and Horn of Winter along with Improved BoM), is better.....we're having a 'debate' over which is better. personally i would think armageddon since it has +str and with divine strength that should be +232.3ap (101 * 2.3ap)
My gear is very good (nax25 + Betrayer of humanity), im hit AND expertise capped, both my rotation and spec (blood, 51 13 7, and then 51 0 20) were taken from EJ. Yet i see myself doing at most 3.8k dps on patchwerk 25, while everyone else is apparently doing 5.5k+ in same gear or less than mine...
I Tried testing different rotations - went from standart one (it ps hs hs ob DC ob hs hs hs hs DC) to diseaseless one (ob ob hs hs DC ob hs hs hs hs DC hs hs OB hs hs DC ob hs hs hs hs DC), to some "hybrids" (ob it ps hs hs DC hs hs hs hs ob DC ps it etc)... And while some were doing a bit more damage than others, its still not even close to the 5k+ dps i see some people do... My record was 5.6k dps on 25 thaddius and (i think) 3.8k on patch 25... Can anyone please show this obviously failing DK where exactly he fails?
BTW my glyphs are wrong atm (completely) due to the fact that i am stuck on a totally empty server where we dont even have a single 450 inscriber >.> Just waiting for my transfer cooldown to finish so i can go back to my old server & replace glyphs with normal ones. Either way, i dont think correct glyphs will add 2k dps? (Or will they?)
Very appreciate any replies...
Felblood (Originally from Draenor EU, but now from Azuremyst EU until i can transfer back to draenor)
I'm not really a fan of Corpse explosion although it's kinda nice to have if you're running a lower level through instances because if you're like me, you'll have tons of mobs on you and always have a corpse to explode to do a good amount of damage per RP point.
In the process of getting my rogue to 80. As they fixed the double poison offhand procrate now, what's an offhand upgrade from LPC? I have two ready to go for when I hit 80, just wondering what my options are. For instance, I take it the only upgrades are iLevel 213? Or would an iLevel 200 dagger be an upgrade? I would check the spreadsheet, but alas, I do not have Excel on hand.
