When your rune-based strike is dodged/parried, the runes used for that attack go on global cooldown, I believe. I.e. you get to try the failed attack again. You don't get previously used runes back sooner, though.

Here's my quick one:

Whats the best enchant for a prot warrior weapon? I remember there was a lot of argument a little while back about Blade Warding vs Blood Draining, and how Blood Draining wasn't enough healing to be effective, while Blade Warding suffered from DR or something like that? My guild is trying to progress through ICC10, so I'll be in ICC quite a bit, where the loss of dodge becomes a big issue. Would mongoose even be preferrable given the Icecrown Radiance?

Hey Guys, im not quite sure which trinkets i should use.
Currently im using[Satrina's Impeding Scarab] and [Corroded Skeleton Key], but i could always get the [Glyph of Indomitability] or [Corpse Tongue Coin].

What is the best Combo of those 4 in general or for specific encounters. Any idea ? I think they are pretty close together anyway.

I wanted to change the settings for default gems from agility to armor pen so when I use gear planner it doesn't ask for re gem stuff but when I do so it says the sheet is protected and when I try to unprotected it it asks for a password and that I don't have. Anyone have any suggestions ?

Thanks Wrathblood. I actually hadn't read the first post because it was a little dated, I figured it wouldn't really apply anymore, but I'll go read through it thoroughly this time. As far as the T9 helm, I have only looked it up in AtlasLoot so I thought the little symbol down there was a Primordial Saronite. I don't really do trash pulls since we have a Frost DK for that. So I'm going to go with the non-set helm and the libram I currently have. Thanks again for the help, looking forward to my membership here. ^-^

Change them in the custom column.

@ jimmytown: cool, thanks for the input. Idealy, it would be nice to have it all into one macro. Something like:
/tar Lightwell
/interact (or whatever it is)
/tar lasttarget
I didn't have time to search much yet, but maybe InteractUnit would work. Could also add an interact-range check.

I just got [Legguards of Lost Hope] and equipping it puts me under the 26 exp soft cap or whatever. I can gem for 10exp/15stam for two of the sockets and then one socket be 30 stam. But is it just better to go for the socket bonus since its +12 stamina or should I aim for the exp since with just 1 exp gem in the legs I would be at 25 exp. Or maybe I can gem elsewhere for the expertise? I'm not really sure.

i don't think i'm reading ovale right, i can barely break 5k unbuffed and my gs is 5360 whats everyone else pulling? i'm not asking how to play better just wanna know if i'm reading it wrong

Maybe I'm readng it wrong, but on the EP values on the combat sheet it says, and has said with each new version, the following with regards to the T10 sets;

T10 2/5 182.2
T10 4/5 47

If I understand correctly it is saying that the 2/5 bonus gives you a MUCH grander EP/DPS increase than the 4/5 set. Which obviously is the other way around, no?

Also, when inserting all my data again from the 1.4.4 combat spreadsheet into the 1.5.1 one, the DPS readout is 300 less than on the 1.5.1 one, again, wth the same items. Why is that?

The nochanneling-macro is a dps-loss.
I have been testing this for 2 days now, and the time you loose because of latency is bigger than the time you gain by "waiting" for the Ptl-buff to kick in. It doesn't matter if you're at 60ms or 200ms, it will still be a dps-loss.
You can be almost halfway into the next AB without using the macro, so it's a nobrainer to see which is the way to go.

My AB-castingtime is 1.7 seconds, with Ptl it's 1,6 seconds, and when i add the latency by using the nochanneling-macro i will have a castingtime of 1.8 or 1.9 second castingtime.
I do not see this macro as beneficial, except if you have a constant problem of clipping your own AM's

Can somebody confirm something for me about Empowered Shock Vortex? Im looking over the ability on wowhead and it states it will only Vortex people who are WITHIN 30 yards. Is this accurate, or will it target everybody in the room regardless of range?

I have a question guys,

Ive been thinking, is it worth me gemming all my gear with [Delicate Cardinal Ruby] which is +20Agi

Regardless of what socket colour ive got on the gear?

Example is my Pauldrons of the Devourer, yellow socket so i put in +8 Agility and +8 Critical Strike Rating, and got the socket bonus +4 Agi, so in total thats 12Agi and 8 Critical Strike.

Would i be better off just gemming the 20Agi and not worrying about the socket bonus?

Doing all that would up my dps wouldnt it?
