Well, u can allways kill it normal way, maybe takes a litle longer but is easier then u can think. Send pet to the pack so he agro them all, viper the healer, mend pet up, FD ready, smoke something and wait till healer got no mana. After that kill them at same time. And common, since when hunters need exploits to solo this boss.
question for anyone who can help. i read thru. the post and did not see anyone have a prob. with glanceing on my melee attack. i am spec. for unholy (reaping) now my hit is at 8.08% and my wep. is maxx 400/400. now i was told to max out your white damage you should be at 11 to 12 %. now does this mean in my unholy spec. is my hit cap is 12 % ?
Well at the risk of getting flamed for making priests a 1 button healer I noticed I was down on BQL vs my hastier holy mate so I wrote a macro for the fight.
/castsequence Prayer of Mending,Renew,Circle of Healing,Renew,Renew
The 5 GCDs it covers prevents PoM or CoH being cast during cooldown and ensures I do actually use both every 5 GCDs leaving me free to pick the lowest health non-HoTd target to drop my heal on and look out for GS targets/fiend/HoH/Fear Ward etc.
I only use it for this fight as after the first few seconds there is always something to heal but it brought me back to level healing and cured my temptation to use (and glyph) PoH so feel free to try it or ignore it.
p.s. /use 10 is my engineering glove enchant so you can probably drop that 13 and 14 are trinkets even though my trinkets dont have use effects...
Let me start by saying my comments are all about 25m as I have not had the oppurtunity to try the fight in 10s yet.
Thanks for the input on the valkyr and cooldowns. Right now, my guild is not doing great on the spirits in the first Remorseless Winter so we're not transitioning well to the next part to deal with first set valkyr. We still have spirits up and I think we've maybe killed one valkyr on two or three different pulls, out of probably 10 that reached that stage. That's why I was asking about it, but I think I forgot that it's not a great representation of our dps yet.
Like I said my guild has the hunters dpsing the shamblers, which seems pretty useless. I have to stop dps on it often because due to the nature of the tanking and the aggro the tank is able to generate on it and the shambler's hp doesn't drop in any quick fashion until the plague pops on it. We're currently getting 3 shamblers with the 3rd being at a point where our raid leader is calling off dps on Arthas at around 73% and waiting for the shambler to pop. Hopefully we can convince the leaders to make the change and that should help force Arthas down past 70% before the 3rd shambler. I appreciate the recommendations on the macros and those'll help for sure if we can get swapped off the shamblers.
MizarAlcor, we were having that problem as well, but instead the dispeller was knocking it off within one or two seconds, before the plagued person could even get within 10 yards of the mobs. What we are trying to do (changed last pull of the night) is set up the OT and adds, Arthas, and the raid in a triange. As long as the right things are faced away from the raid, there appears to be no reason that you can't cram in the 5-10 yard range of Arthas. It makes running to the horrors faster, at least for us.
I know that personally, healing with that macro would make me much less effective.
The most obvious problem is that with a 1.2 second GCD, 5 spells only takes 6 seconds, so you're wasting time waiting for your PoM to come back up, or just casting too slowly. The other major problem, is that there are some situations where you don't want to cast a spell just because it's up, or where the optimal target changes based on what spell you're casting. You may want to PoM someone at low health, even if they have a renew on them already. You may want to keep pom and/or coh off cooldown (but still keep casting renews) if a new pact of the darkfallen is about to be cast. If everyone is at full health, there's no point in casting CoH, but renew is still a good use of your time.
If a macro like that will improve the way you heal, then you should try to examine why. Have you been wasting global cooldowns because you can't decide what spell to cast? Have you been casting renew so much that you lose track of your CoH and PoM cooldowns and don't cast them as often as you should?
You need to train yourself to just chain cast renew and interweave your cooldown spells manually. If you're losing track of their cooldowns, change your interface to make them more visible.
I posted on SQSA but seems nobody answered,so i tought it will be smarter to ask here, since its destro related.
I currently raid in 10 man only guild wich in group first (wich i am in),there are no replenishment providers exept me. (1 Prot Pala,1 Bear,1 Disco Priest,2 Resto Shamms,1 Ele Sham,1 Arc Mage,2x Mut Rogue, and me)
Is Replenishment really needed in 10 mans?I got 7 (if i count good ) mana users in raid. Will switching to Affili hurt raid?
Are there any guilds that accept and nurture beginners on raids? Most of the guilds like their raid groups to be fully geared top spc and so on what about us low life's that are only just beginning and cant do all the daily s every d
Does anyone have an explanation for this, or what I could possibly do to make sure it can't happen. I'm @ 6.3% hit with 2 points in Focused Aim for 8.3%. I am the only raiding hunter so there is no backup tranq shot. The only thing I can think of is focused aim doesn't work with tranq shot? I would think that would register as a miss and not a "fails to dispell".
Please read other threads first, then ask questions

I'm not sure, but I doubt Focused Aim grants spell hit, so your 179 hit rating only gives you about ~6,8% increased chance to hit with spells, which means 7 to 10% (depending on the presence of FF/Misery) of your Tranqulizing Shots will fail.
I am respecing into frost DPS on a toon who will likely never see the inside of ICC Until the next expansion comes out and am unlikely to dps the lower 10 mans as I'm primarily a tank.
So from a personal dps point of view, is there a better use of my talent points for Icy Talons & Improved Icy Talons? I am using the base 0/54/17 build from the front page as my base.
In playing around with the talent calculator you can only pull 2 more points out of Frost and can re-allocate 1 into Deathchill
I was considering using those points in some combination of the following:
1 point for Deathchill
& with the remaining 2 points:
1 point for 3rd point into Blood Caked Blade
1-2 points in Butchery
1-2 points in Subversion
Or should I just leave well enough alone and stop messing with good builds?
