Ok been reading these forums for quite some time now, but just figured to registered a couple days ago.
My question is with the new changes in the PTR, and suppose that these will stick on come out on the patch, i was looking into Sub PvE with daggers, using QcQ and hemo. Supposing the 5% increase from all damage with Slaughter From Shadows as well as buff to hemo damage. Also using 0/21/50 i can pick up Blade Fury for some of the situatiuonal fights. Also with rupture coming back into the mix with crits the changes to Serrated Blades looks optimal with the static ArP along with the 30% rupture dmg increase. Also using the hemo glyph increases a little bit of raid utility for physical dps.
So I quit the game for 10-12 months, and I just started playing again today.
If anyone could help me get back on track that would be amazing. I pretty much know Arcane is the best spec atm, with Fire being slightly behind in 3.3.3. I'm reading up on Arcane Rotations and the like, but I'm still a bit rusty on some things.
What I would really like to know is how I should go about upgrading my gear(which items, what order, etc- got 86 badges and counting today). I'm going to tinker with Rawr assuming that's still viable, but any help would be greatly appreciated. You can simply post here, shoot me a PM or message me on AIM(ixchamplooxi). Thanks.
We will be making one-handed weapons with Strength on them.
Looks like they will be itemizing 1H weapons in cata better. I personally just like to roll on one 2H weapon and be done with it, but this might change that all together. Maybe make DW unholy and Frost viable.
Just wondering once you hit the ArP cap with an ArP Trinket proc'd is it worth keep gemming ArP if you cant hit the cap without it or should you switch back to stacking agi. According to Rawr its better to switch back to agi just wondering if anyone tested this for sure or read more about it.
To be perfectly honest, I don't really know what your purpose or intent was for posting.
You haven't really said anything that furthers the discussion. In fact, what you've posted has only reinforced what I said originally, which is that Insect Swarm does less damage than an Eclipsed Wrath, but the gains from Improved Insect Swarm make it better to refresh provided there is enough time left on Eclipse.
That is still simple DPeT comparison. It's just a broader scope than looking at just Eclipsed Wraths and just Insect Swarm's values.
Even if Blood is better in the Simulation that doesnt mean that its better for icc encounters the ghoul and higher disease ticks from unholy are very strong in my opinion, encounters like Deathbringer, Festergut and Bloodqueen are maybe the only one where blood will be ahead of unholy
I played around with specs yesterday. I went for keeping NG, and put the freed-up points from CS in ET and Living Seed. At the same time I replaced swiftmend glyph with Nourish glyph. I must say that after an ICC run, I don't really miss the swiftmend glyph as much as I thought I'd do. I use the spell mostly for emergencies, and in no situation did the vanished HoT cause noticeable trouble for the person taking damage. Sure it's a few lost GCD's, but compared to the nourish boost I'd say it's worth it.
Nourish also went from "meh" to really useful - tank / focused damage healing was much smoother, I did much better on Valithria and so on. The only thing I noticed is that NG really isn't useful - I use nourish much more than RG, and with me beeing at hastecap and nourish already beeing at 1 sec cast time, it doesn't really do any good. Ofc I'm still mostly a rejuv-spamming raidhealer, but going for a 11/60 spec seems best imo, since it opens up the option to be a more efficient single target healer as well. Now to figure out where to spend the extra three talent points from NG
It has been discussed, at the times where capping arp was near impossible and DW Arms with both axe and mace spec seemed viable.
I've done some testing at the time on the ptr and even with capped arp it was still way behind fury and 2h arms so I highly doubt it's anywhere near competitive as of now, feel free to do testing of your own with swordspec though.
edit: if you're going to try it out make sure u drop a point from dual wield spec. into endless rage because the current rage mechanics aren't really designed for dual wielding 1hers.
I use Rawr to gear up, gem, enchant and for rotations. My question is should I be using If you have 2pc T9 equipped your best clash resolution is: Judgement > HoW > CS > DS > Consecrate > Exorcism > Holy Wrath as stated.
Or CS >HoW> Judgement>Consecrate>DS >Exorcism>Holy Wrath as Rawr says is good for my gear. Thanks
