According to this thread Haste is a way better stat for us these days. However, using T94P gear, how does crit compare to haste?
Are we still supposed to go for the haste cap and "ignore" crit based gear or is it possibly better to aim for crit gear instead?

So, this Arp capped/nearly capped and all gems Arp. And I assume STR food and AP Flask. Can you try the following im sims plz:
STR Food-> Arp Food: 40->40 APE: 40*~2.8->40*~4.5: ~112->~180
Flask->Arp Elixir: 180->45*4.5: 202 APE
And gem the ARP Gems which are then over the cap with STR.

I can only guess this is marginal, but everything counts, doesnt it?

Enhancement Question:

I'd like to ask if there are any specific strategy of enhance DPS in "lots-of-running" 25man fights like Profesor Putricide?

During static fights like Saurfang or Toravon I have no problems with reaching 7-8k DPS, but last nigh I was so suprized that during P.Putricide ecounter I did like 3,5-4k... (I felt like a "just dinged 80" :P )

Please consider that I'm a fresh enhance (but still I've read though all the enhancement topics). I appriciate any suggestions not only about the strategy (I know the theory of the priorities) but also about my character (vs. Admin's rule to do not ask "Help me not suck!" - most basicaly... what should I change).

Thank you for your help

@Nothri:
Well since you are running, you "won't damage each second", so it's logical your dps is lower, look at your total damage done. But it is true, that we loose an amount of damage done, due our magma totem (or even fire elemental) not following us around.
I think this would be a fight where having more AP > haste would be better, as in, when you can hit them, you hit them hard. Haste is better on more static fights with less movement, where fast sustained hits really shine.

Unfortunatly there is no real solution to this. Searing totem instead of magma 'could' be better, but you'll still have fire nova issues.

I haven't seen any numeric comparation between Avalanche and Bizuri's totems. Any suggestion about that?

There for we have no enhancer shami in our raid and no frost DK, I’m searching for a competitive build with imp. Icy Talons for 3.3.3. Here is a build 0-26-45 I’m playing around with, rotation would be as usually only SS is changed with obliterate and the Glyphs are changed to Obit.
Has anyone experience with this or run a simulation?

Ok thanks for the info on why paladins get 60k HPS on that fight lol.
Damhalf i use the exact way ou just said and was able to one or two times get a fast LHW in aswell. I have to say a very enjoyable fight for healers and especialy resto shamans

We use Heroism at the last 15% we take a final portal once the hero is about to expire by this point we have around 40 stacks and we then do not enter any more portals and get the full buff time healing to full.

Just a quick one how many healers is best to take portals? We use 3 two shamans and 1 Holy paladin

@Nothri:
I tried balancing AP/Haste for a while too, using 20AP/10 haste gems for the majority of sockets.
I was using Death's Verdict + Pyrite Infuser untill I recently replaced my Death's with the Herkumi Wartoken. And the difference I noticed was huge, even for the movement fights. So now, step by step I'm trying to swap AP or Haste/AP gems for pure Haste gems, while still trying to have about 5k unbuffed AP.
I'm not a real simmer myself, I tried enh-sim and RAWR, but I don't blindly follow the numbers, I use them as a guideline. I still go by my personnal preference/feeling, this 5k ub AP 'goal' I have set up for myself, just felt "right".

Hmm for numerical comparisons... I think those comparisons are based on EP values? And those are kinda different for each character/gearset and even fight perhaps. So I think the best way to see the difference is to simm it.
But based the findings in the BiS thread, I'd say Bizuri's is the way to go.

If you're going that deep in the tree as well as using Obliterate, you'd be better off just speccing straight frost. The build you've listed is missing a lot of important talents as well as using a handful of fillers that won't really benefit you. I'm not sure what your stats look like as your Rogue is currently set to your profile, but I ran it through with my stats to give you an idea of what to expect.

Unholy 0-26-45 - 8938 DPS

Frost 2H 7-51-13 - 9415 DPS

It actually didn't turn out as bad as I expected, but it's still fairly far behind a more optimal spec. IIT is just too deep in the tree to realistically get it with a viable Unholy build.

Where do the BoE [Leggings of Dubious Charms] fit into the BiS list? I would presume fairly high since they seem pretty comparable to the crafted BoE pants and have 3 sockets as well.

Not sure if everyone missed this question or not, or is it just abit too hard to calculate?

No amount of haste will make your spells instant. The flat casting time reduction from talents and glyphs is applied before haste. For example, even with 100% haste your rank 1 Frostbolt will be (1.5 - 0.7) / (1 + 1) = 0.4 sec casting time.

I'd like to show you how I spec.

Resto Druid Healing - My Haste Spec explained.
The World of Warcraft Armory - Fbar @ Burning Blade - Talents

Think about how you REALLY play and not how you WOULD play if you had the perfect raid where everyone was doing their job and other healers were able to maximise their class = theorycraft.

What I'd like to do is show you how I spec to do max healing in any raid.

Step 1 - Understand this that there are two types of healing.
1 - Reactive Healing = Direct Heals like Nourish. You cast these because someone has taken a lot of dmg and needs fast health.
2 - Preventative healing = HoTs. You cast these because you anticipate dmg is incoming.

Step 2 - What I want from my heals.

Reactive Healing

[top] Direct Healing. This would be a nourish or a regrowth. You use regrowth on a tank or someone who is going to keep taking dmg. Nourish is for fast heals.

It is important to understand what GCD is (Global Cool Down). If you have a spell that is 0.8 second cast, the first time you cast it you will land it in 0.8 seconds but if you keep spamming it there will ALWAYS be a 1 second gap between casts no matter what your haste. This is absolute. So think about that... that means if I want to cast a direct heal the quickest I can do it when spamming is 1 second. So my goal is to have a 1 second cast when I spam. If I only needed to cast one heal and not spam it then chances are that it doesn't matter whether the cast is 0.8 or 1 or 1.2 seconds. It clearly isn't needed that badly if I only need to cast once. If I need to spam it then it does matter.

You MUST understand this before I talk about my spec.

My druid spec takes talent points out of GEOM (gift of the earth mother) which all resto druids consider essential. This basically gives you 10% haste. However it takes up 5 points.

If you look at the talent 'Nature's Grace' in the balance tree, you will see when a "non-perodic spell crits" you get a 20% haste increase for 3 seconds. Hmm... are you thinking what I'm thinking? Then let's look at some other talents most resto druids can't max out because they took GEOM. Take a look at 'Nature's Bounty' (increases crit effect of Nourish and Regrowth by 25%) and 'Natural Perfection' (increase your crit by 3% and reduces some dmg taken).

So my point is if you crit 'Nature's Grace' procs and you cast more spells which increases the chance you will crit which means you'll proc 'Nature's Grace' again. This is nice but because I took the points out of GEOM I can also max out 'Living Seed' which gives a "100% chance to plant a Living Seed on the target for 30% of the amount healed. The Living Seed will bloom when the target is next attacked".

The Living seed gives me something like 8% of my healing like this compared to 1-2% when you don't use my spec. The living seed gives healing only to those people who need it when they need it. This is what is commonly known as 'op' or 'imba'.

I leave 1 point in GEOM but I could put this in 'Nature's Swiftness' if I liked.

Preventative Healing

HoTs - Rejuv is the best and spam wildgrowth whenever it comes off of cooldown.

Gemming and enchanting.
The crucial part of this spec is enchanting all haste enchants that you can get (cloak etc) and then you gem Haste as a priority until you're Nourish is a 1 second cast WITH the 'Nature's Grace' Buff. Test it - don't ever go under 1 second. As soon as you have a 1 second Nourish cast with the buff you gem Spellpower > Spirit.

Food
Only eat 'Crit' food. Now your Nourish is 1 second you don't need haste. You only need more crit to increase the procs. Don't eat fish feast, only eat crit.

Flask
Pure Mojo or Frost Wyrm depending if you run OOM.

Innervate
You should know how much mana your innervate gives you in total (And yes you should have the glyph that increases it). Test it - go and get yourself OOM and then cast innervate and write down what it gave you. Now every time your mana is 1k from this number cast innervate. You should be able to get 2 innervates into a fight, only 1 if you are lame and don't take my advice.

CONGRATS - You are now rolling with Fubar's spec and will start pwning other healers. Your direct heal is as fast as any other class when your spamming and your HoTs are imba.

NOTE: I have no idea why the middle of this post is HUGE. I have edited and changed it several times. I hope this isnt a problem.
