Everything you ask has been answered several times inbetween the last 10 Pages, there are several rotations mentioned and even dozens of (rather useless) dummy-test-dps screenshots to compare with.

I know that this thread is more about shoulda, woulda, coulda's, but I have been thinking about the changes that may or may not occur. Let me just throw my 2cents out there (which are never going to happen, like all these other theories):

First, the Death Knight should be totally based on DoTs and such. The strength of these DoTs should be effected by the 'tree' that the DK has been specced into. Second, each 'tree' should have their own DoT. Frost would have FF (applied by IT), Unholy would have BP (applied by PS), and Blood would have a blood varient DoT (applied by BB) (yes change BB to a DoT).

Initially these DoTs should have a minimal effect. There should be a couple ways to increase the strength of the DoTs. The first way to increase the DoT strength (how hard it hits per tick) should be the spec. A 17/0/54 unholy would have a very impressive BP disease applied. A 51/13/7 blood would have a higher blood disease applied. These of course would be because of the skill in each respective talent tree. A 51/13/7 would have a great blood disease but a sucky frost and unholy DoT.

Different abilities should amplify these ticks. Scourge Strike would increase the damage per tick for BP. Frost Strike would increase the damage per tick for FF. Heart Strike would be the Blood varient.

Another way to increase the strength of the ticks would be to make the DoTs stackable. This would probably be the easiest way to increase the strength of ticks.

Glyphs, enchants, and such are another way to increase the strength of the ticks, which is another easy way.

The first way is basically a total revamp of the DK class, which will never happen.

Another thing that I have heard people talking about on this thread that no body is talking about is CC. It seems that Blizzard has gotten away with this and intends on getting back to it. One way that would be very effective would be to have our perma ghoul go bye-bye, but in it's place have us have the ability to turn a monster into a ghoul (or undead) and control that npc for base amount of time. This controled npc would fight by our sides, like the ghoul does now. All of the CC that is in place now has the monster turn into something and just sit there picking his nose. If our controled CC ghoul actually fights for us that would be a very effective CC.

These are some of the ideas that I have in my mind.

The mana consumption of my raid lastnight on 3drake OS was nothing compared to the mana problems im having now, but i guess I will have to look into the AM glyph and see if maybe i can compinsate something. I just notice a huge difference in the amount of mana I have been consuming with the lower CD on AP i guess. Would it be safe to say not to use it on its every CD or should i just go for it anyways?

And by the way, i hope im not causeing any infractions by asking this on this particular forum thread. If I am by chance direct me int he right place pls.

Again, WTF are you talking about? Nothing of that sort changed in 3.0.9, you're just imagining it. You used to use 30% more mana for 15sec every 3min, now you use 20% more mana for 15sec every 2min. The net result is the same (or actually less, since you don't IV for every AP now, so get fewer spells in under AP).

mutilate damage modifier change.

With the new changes to mutilate (30% less bonus to poisoned targets) i was thinking a fast/fast weapon combo might start to outweigh a fast/slow combo. You picked up an additional 10% haste from slice and dice to make the pie even sweeter. If anyone has done testing on this id like to know, i sadly lack the 2nd webbed death to check myself.

Hi, can you help me with combination of weapons?
Here is my armory
I have this weapons: [Silent Crusader]/[Angry Dread]/[Split Greathammer] and [Hailstorm]
I have slow angry + fast hailstorm now. What about enchants? For deep unholy maybe 2x FC? Cause CG is better for hybrid with HB or CG is better for unholy too?

Hey guys, I'm confused on my DPS right now after reading a lot of the material here and some other forums. I was hoping I could get some of you pros to analyze my style and possibly provide me with tips or advice on what I can do to better my DPS. I'm looking all around at these top warriors and see them doing INSANE dps...up in the 9000-12000 dps range on bosses in 25 man NAXX. I really cap around 3500-4200 on regular bosses and 5k-7k on Loatheb and Thaddius. What I try to do is fairly simple, I come in and pop my Death Wish / Recklessness to start doing solid damage get my deep wounds up. I start with BT - WW - HS (rage depending) - BT - WW and bloodsurge slams when they proc. I've heard stories about spamming heroic strike being bad for your dps, I don't know why but it's just something I do, I spam heroic strike when at full rage while trying to BT / WW when CD'S are up. I pop potions of speed at execute range and also integrate heroic throw when it's inbetween a BT / WW cd. I simply feel gimp when compared to warriors on these forums and I couldn't imagine somehow doing double the damage i'm doing now. My gear is elite, almost full t7.5 with death's bite in the main hand and claymore of ancient power in the off hand, surge needle ring, 25 valor ring, darkmoon card: greatness, mirror of truth, etc. I have 4100 ap unbuffed and 38.46% crit. 308 hit rating and 148 expertise. I just feel as though I should be doing more dps and i'm not...hopefully someone can offer me some tips/advice...i'd really appreciate it.

So after playing with the spreadsheets and adding in the 3.0.9 changes, it appears that IP/IP using evisc is now the optimal way to go for me assuming a hunter is putting up poisons. Am I right in thinking this?

The concept is maximum mana and regen to push AB spam unless a MBarr procs.
Essentially foregoing all other rotations to use the max DPS rotation as much as possible

AB3+ [mbarr]

Frost channeling reduces the mana cost of all schools' spells. It's in the tooltip for it.

It has been since 3.0.8, with the change to Torment of the Weak proccing off melee/cast slows.
