I sort of caught wind of it in one of the spreadsheet threads but couldn't really find anything else about it but is the new consenus fast main hand / slow offhand for Assassination? I did a quick bit of testing on dummies with my current setup and noticed 100 or so DPS increase but this may just be due to the short time I tested for.

I still prefer FBN to Ovale, the timer interface fits my UI setup perfectly. The suggester is really nice for intense hardmodes when you are occupied with not dying. Any update to that would be outstanding.

With patch 3.3.3 releasing soon and it has been suggested that a frost sub-spec will be a little more superior than a blood sub-spec. Just have a question in mind. The greatest buff to the frost tree would be icy talons being exclusive with WF totem for us. However, will a frost sub-spec still be superior if you do not have any shammy to provide the additional 20%/16% melee haste buff for you in raid? Say you only have one shammy and they lay down the spell haste totem.

I think they will change it again or maybe boost PW:S shield bonus, cuz 5% still not enough for T104P set bonus.

Icy Talons haste buff is not exclusive with WF totem in 3.3.3. So having an enhancement shaman's totem on top of the talents you would have 40% haste.

After several months of continuous pursuit for better methods, techniques, and explanations I have come to the conclusion that this forum is no longer a very useful resource for Blood DK’s. It has for that matter, become counterproductive.

Let me explain.

I believe that most conversation and analysis is done in reference to “Kahorie’s DK Simulator.” Has anybody stopped to consider that this DK simulator may not be accurately calibrated to all of the complexities of WoW? Has anybody stopped to consider that this “simulator” may not actually simulate the dynamics of raid content?

Your experiences of WoW can help you outgrow whatever you were indoctrinated with at this website. What seems to persist in these forums is the lazy habit of hearing one side of an issue, when based on this “simulator” and being galvanized into action without hearing the other side, or testing it for that matter. The more people are guided by Kahorie’s DK Simulator, the less seems to be contributed, or questioned for that matter.

My guildies and I have spent countless hours running simulations, changing settings, re-downloading, and visiting the troubleshooting section to find that Kahorie’s Simulator can in fact be misleading. My one friend has sadly become addicted to it.

The best guides are the death knight’s pulling massive dps. I had trouble finding a deep rooted explanation behind the classic argument of when to gem to ArP, why some use GoD and others GoDD, opening rotations, critical strike, etc. Everything is always referred back to the “simulator.”

I sought out the best blood DK’s in the U.S. and over time I was able to speak with 3 of whom I believe are the best. All three were kind enough to answer a few of my questions and provide me with further guidance. (I will not provide you with their names as to not embarrass them or promote dozens of people doing the same.) When I explained that I had been using Kahorie’s DK Simulator, two of them strongly disapproved of such testing.

These three individuals gave me more advice on stats, rotations, gemming, and minor tips to squeak out a few extra dps than the 54 pages before this. It was unbelievably motivating and I am very grateful that they shared their experiences and knowledge with me. I didn’t realize I could learn so much after playing the same class for 14 straight months. I will gladly share with you my findings over the upcoming days.

The question becomes why aren’t these individuals participating at the most prestigious forums in all of WoW?

Perhaps, there is no need for further conversation when you have Kahorie’s DK Simulator.

Yes, because it's hard to criticise here without getting an instant infraction.
I'm a co-author of the simulator and it's meant as a helpful tool. It answers questions about Arp or minor rotation details. It does not help you play better. Clever movement and proper cooldown usage provides far more dps than a simple Glyph of Disease, which gems you put into your sockets or if you put that last talent point into Morbidity or Necrosis. You can play perfectly fine without any tools or guides.
I always have to shake my head at all those long, meaningless simulator results with a one line comment underneath them, questions that have been answered just a page ago or poorly disguised requests for the latest flavour of the month talent build. The good posts sometimes just get lost.
Maybe your findings can bring some new life in here. I for myself would like to have a a thread like this one in the rogue forum, but we'd need the help of the moderators to keep it clean (How do I reach them?).

Sorry my bad. I meant not exclusive. What i meant was that making it stack wif WF is a great buff. But my question is, what IF there is no extra shammy in ur raid that provides the extra 16/20%, for example, only 1 shammy and they drop the spell haste(meaning u will only be wif ur 20% haste from icy talon). Will making a sub-frost still be worth it?

Although i'm quite new to WoW, i would like to ask you guys a question if i may. I've been reading up on these forums for several days and have realized there's MORE to this game than i've ever imagined. With that in mind, i would like to ask you guys for some advice that may help me later on down the road with my mage. He's currently level 20 and climbing ever so slowly. I have one level 80 character atm that has Enchanting/Jewelcrafting as his professions. I started this mage with the intent of having two of the top professions 'without' duplicating the ones i already have. So I chose Alchemy/Tailoring as my professions. Would you guys be so kind as to assist me in putting a nice "mack daddy" item list together 'like the one above' just to see what the maximum dps output would be? It appears in the long run i'll be getting the t7 pcs listed in the beginning of this thread just to maintain some medium dps ranges, and have to get the state of the art stuff to hang with the big boys. Only time will tell. You can assume that the spell power bonus gems from JC will not be in this toons setup but the bonus's from tailoring/alchemy will be. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I tried to download and use Rawr but it seemed to confusing to me. The lists you guys have set up are quite nice and can steer me in the right direction. He's levelling up as frost atm, but will be dual specced as arcane 57/3/11 style. He probably won't see ICC anytime soon either, mostly normal size raids and of course your standard Heroics after he hits 80. Hope this helps. Thanks guys.
