I have 3 questions, and here are some things you might need to know :
First of all, I play in a 10 men raid guild. We actually are pretty good, due to the fact we know each others since 4/5 years, and made a LOT of MMO, playing them end games. So, even if we’re not yet on Arthas (made only 1 try on Sindragosa, no time left last week), we should soon kill him and start 10M HM, with a 251 ilvl stuff for most of us (it could be meaningfull for you, i'm not trying to autocongratulate me or whatever, even if it actually looks like from my pov :s).
Secondly, it’s about my gameplay. I usually try to have all the raid under rejuv, more or less spam Wild Growth, nourish people under 60% life to get them back to 100%, and Regrowth tanks as soon as the hot isn’t up anymore (or trying to). I ofc also often use switfmend, but not that much (I find my nourish stronger, so if time isn’t running out, I’d rather cast nourish). 0 Lifebloom. Considering this gameplay, and big is my ratio cast/sec (probably as every droods), I’m a mana deep.
Is my gameplay optimized for this kind of raid? Most of the time, I’m assigned to raid healing. I play with a very good Holy Paladins, who greatly do his job and more of it, and most of the encounters are made with 2 heals (Only Sindragosa and soon Arthas will need us to be 3).
Should I switch my current trinkets for Sif’s Remembrance and Silver of Pure Ice (or even frost emblem, but i'm currently focusing on getting 4/5 T10)? atm, I feel I couldn’t keep all my raid alive, I mean not running oom without those trinkets, who more or less bring me 200MP5 each. Also, should I switch my relic, that is about 300MP5? I’ve never play without, and the few times I did, my mana really wasn’t droping deadly fast.
As I have to hold a raid quite alone (pala is often supporting, but I can’t really count on him), I really need a huge mana regen… my pov is I can’t lose them =( )
If i'm asking you that, even when I could seem deeply convinced I couldn't change, it's because on most of theorycraft topics, those trinkets are not advised. To me, they are just essentials.
Should I respec to take the template you linked there Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft ? As I said, my mana is atm a big concern, and loosing 10% spirit could be dangerous. But since I haven’t tested it, I couldn’t say. I’ve more or less never played my healers (Priest Vanilla, 8/15 Naxx, Shaman BC, Felmyst 20%, Shaman/Drood WotLK, Uldu 25 Full HM) without a HUGE mana regen, spaming like hell whenever someone is under 80% life, so is that possible?
Thank to all of you who read this post, and special thank for the one who would answer. I’m deeply sorry for my English, I’m French, and even if I made some efforts, I guess it could be sometimes hard to understand (And I don’t like to read someone which isn’t writing an understandable language).
So i read up on here and other places that it would be better to gem all ArP in MM and even surv at some points so i started switching my +20 agi gems to +20 ArP gems and switched in my ArP trinket, but i couldn't replace ALL the ArP gems since i didn't have enough atm but will be soon..
Unfortunately though i noticed my DPS has gone down a bit and was wondering if i have enough base ArP on gear and such to be able to switch all over to ArP.
Well gear optimizer tells me that t10-4p beats t10+t9 even on 251 iLvl. Serpent crits are nice, but SS is only 8-9% of dmg dealt (for me, as MM), and t9-2p is worth 3.5-4% out of them. That's not groundbreaking.
I currently have the i245 T9 head + chest and the i251 T10 shoulders, hands, and legs. Replacing the head with the T10 251 reports as a 40dps loss (even with 4p T10 bonus). Replacing the chest instead shows as a mere 10dps gain. Makes me wonder what to spend my hard earned Frosts on!
Anyone has good strat for H Deathwhisper 25?
My guild put me on adds but my dps is just hovering around 4-5k.
I tried to firenova and chainlightning when adds are close.
Should I just stop trying to kill any reanimated and go straight for boss?
Hello fellow locks I was just wondering if anyone knew which caster class benefits more from dislodged foreign object heroic. I'm just wondering so I can use it to help my case to get it first before any other class.
I know haste is great for warlocks but I dont study mages and I dont know how big the difference is.
If you dont want to do the actual math for me could you give me simple instructions as to how I could do it?
I recently dinged 80 on my mage, and have been furiously spamming randoms to try and catch my gear up so I can raid. My gear isn't up to snuff, I know this, however, I am still frustrated with my dps. I am hit capped, and believe I understand the rotation (AB4MBAM), so I am curious about any other stats that I may need to prioritize over the basic spell power. I heard from another mage that my haste needs to be about one third of my spell power. Is this true? I am sure there was already a post on this subject but I don't have the patience to wade through the 100+ posts (most of which are out of date). Thank you!
No. If you queue a cleave, and then your macro queues up Heroic Strike, your character will perform the Heroic Strike, and the queued Cleave will be "lost" (without actually spending the rage cost ofcourse)
Is there an addon which shows the 2xBloodsurge proc? After getting 4 parts i noticed BloodSurge addon only works for normal proc and it shows nothing for double. Does anyone know a tool which alerts for both and (even better) distinguishes them so i can instantly now if its double?
I find PowerAuras works well if setup with the stacks option it puts a little 1 or 2 ontop of your character depending on whether or not you got a 1 or 2 proc
I am an orc blood tank with the axe of saurfang. This puts me almost at the expertise cap with one item.
What would be the most relevant threat stat after hitting the soft cap for purple gems? I have considered armor pen because lack of sunders in 10mans can be a problem when it comes to threat. The other stat I have considered is strength which seems like it would be better as I know blood dps stacks strength.
Has anyone done any research on strength versus armor pen for blood tanks? I know with the decrease in strength contributing talents strength isn't as good as it is for dps.
That Helm, having a yellow socket and +12 stam bonus is a perfect example of when to use a +10hit +15 Stam gem. Or you could even use a +20 hit gem.
Many tanks have mixed views on hit/expertise since the are only 'threat stats'. Personally, where socket bonuses allow I have a lot of hit and expertise hybrid gems to keep me capped.
Remember, IT (for example) is on the spell hit, and when there are less raid buffs out there (eg 10 mans) I've seen it miss twice in a row. Being expertise dodge capped, I've seen abilities parried twice in row.
In my opinion, DK's should care about hit/expertise more than other tanks because of how our rotations work.
I was hoping I could get some feedback from some experienced players. I have recently changed to a guild in which I am running 25 ICC every week (previously, I had never been in a guild that did 25s on a weekly basis). I have been used to 10 man healing, usually raid healing but sometimes tank healing. I never really had a strict rotation, just kind of did my thing, and it worked out. However, now I am a strict raid healer for our 25 man, and I stick very close to 5x1, with the occasional SM and LB. If you look at some of our more recent parses (03/16-03/17), you will see that RJ tops the charts by far, followed by WG, then Glyph of Rejuv and LB, while nourish and RG are basically out of my book:
With this, I am thinking that it will be beneficial if I modify my spec, glyphs and stat prioritization. First, if you ‘re looking at my armory and see that I am under the soft haste cap, ignore that. I have been messing around with some gear sets, but I never go into a raid without being 735+.
Right now, I am speced into CF. Once I start getting the gear I need, I am going to move out of that. And since I basically don’t caste nourish or RG, I really have no need for nature’s grace either, giving me 7 points to move around. I will probably put 3 in Living Seed (side topic: when can that bloom? Can it bloom from periodic raid damage like Frost Aura?), but then I have 4 points that I don’t know where to assign. I know I could put 2 in Nature’s Bounty, just in case I do have to get off a big heal. I was also considering Improved Barkskin and Imporved Tranq. I was thinking Barkskin because, as you can see, we do not easily down Sindragosa and we haven’t downed LK, so survivability is an issue, and that could give me a boost. Improved Tranq is more of a stretch, considering I have never casted it in combat in my life, but I can see it being used on Sindragosa when I get Unchained Magic. Thoughts?
For glyphs I have been using WG, SM and Rejuv. WG is pretty much a given for me, hands down. Rejuv is also something I think I should keep. Like I said, we aren’t breezing through this content, so people get low, and this could be a little boost when someone does get low, and from my logs, it has been amounting to around 1.5-2 % total healing. Then I have been using SM simply because I don’t like eating hots, and I can’t really think of another glyph that would be useful. RR is out of the question. I have thought about LB, but that doesn’t seem very beneficial. Same with Innervate, I have never had a problem with mana in any fight (LK encounter has been testing me, but we haven’t gotten far enough for it to be a problem). Now bare with me hear, I was also thinking Rebirth might be something to consider. People die a lot, as you can see from our logs, and this would definitely make things easier. Multiple times, myself or another druid has b-rezed someone, and when that person takes it, the die immediately from raid AOE or something else. This is obviously fairly situational, since we have raid members drop frequently, but I am just curious if anyone has tried this out.
I guess my stat prioritization doesn’t change too much. One thing is that the value of haste for me above the soft cap is significantly less valuable to me since I am casting off GCDs, so I try and stick very close to the soft cap. I also find crit to be significantly less valuable to me. In terms of tier gear, I really like T9-4pc, but I have never done 25-TOGC (or fully cleared 10m for that matter), so the 258-versions are someone out of my reach. That being said, I don’t think it would be worth to downgrade to that.
I have also had a pretty difficult time deciding what meta to use, as I have seen and heard different opinions from almost everyone I talk to. Maybe someone can clarify for me. I have been using [Ember Skyflare Diamond] because I thought that's what your supposed to use if you don't have mana problems. But I have seen alot of very geared druids using [Insightful Earthsiege Diamond]. And then RAWR tells me to use [Revitalizing Skyflare Diamond]...thanks RAWR
One other thing I was just thinking about was incorporating [Idol of Awakening] into my gear. I know I said mana isn’t really an issue for me, but I was trying to think of a way to imbed it into a macro, so I have [Idol of the Black Willow] on until I have 8 stacks, then I switch to Awakening for ~10 seconds, then switch back to Black Willow for a couple seconds or until it renews, and then back to Awakening, etc etc. I have no idea if this is even possible, but just curious if anyone has thought about it or implemented it.
Trinkets are a whole other story for me, but this post is already too long so I won't bother...yet
Thanks for reading. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Chainpullz, I suggest you use Rawr to evaluate the difference in value between ArP and Str gems.
I quickly loaded your char into Rawr and checked the most common raid-buffs (excluding Sunder Armor). When I opened the gem-template editor (which decides what gems to advise you for sockets). I noticed that the Arp/Sta gem was _slightly_ (very slightly) better than the Str/Sta gem.
You should, however, do the evaluation yourself, as I cannot know what classes (and thus raidbuffs) you usually run with in 10-man.
Quick question on Iceblock in P2, what's the strat ppl in general are using to break the blocks to freeppl? My guild only recently started working on Sindragosa 25 regular so "focus" and comfort levels aren't there just yet. I've seen multiple strats harking back to the PTR version wherein AOE is mentioned and other strats just don't break it down beyond the HP / Break them ASAP for 25. Are other guilds single targeting these all down? AOE Splashing the ones in the back? Currently we make a "smiley" face on the stairs with 2 near the top and 3 spread along the bottom starting with the top 2 but we always seem to not break the 5th block in time. Just wanna check if we just need comfort levels to ease in here or if we're doing it wrong on 25 with single targeting. Thx in advance!
