With 3.3 right around the corner, what will be the three glyphs of choice for combat? I'm currently running SS, KS and TotT.
I'm thinking rupture might be viable again, not sure what to replace, if anything. Does this also mean points in Blood Spatter now?

I'm curious. I know haste is the thing to be stacking. but what about the AP totem? what's the difference in DPS between totems?

Switched to a 0/17/54 build on PTR, and then back to the normal 17/0/54 on normal.

Doing the same rotations, I got 4300dps on test with the frost subspec, and 5300 on normal with my regular UH spec.

Is there something different to the new frost subspec rotation that's supposed to be used?



edit: ok, so i retested my normal spec on both test and regular servers, and the dps turns out to be basically the same. isn't the frost subspec supposed to be at least somewhat better? :P

Boss dummies in Acherus hold/major cities arent an accurate way to test each spec. You have to run a simulator.

Which would be true if I was looking for raid dps numbers. I'm comparing apples to apples here. I ran both specs on the dummy, and now I get results that are basically identical. ~4300 dps for both.

Doesnt change what I said. Run a simulator if you want to see which spec will be higher dps for you.

That's only true if both specs scale identically with raid buffs, so even ignoring all the weird bugs dummies seem to introduce, there's a point in what micronSD is saying.

I got a tip from a guy to stack all STR no matter the bonuses, so I did and it increased my DPS a whole bunch.

But I've been looking at MaxDPS.com, and it suggests I match gem colors using STR+Haste gems.
What I used to have, was STR in red slots, CRIT in yellow and STR+STA in blues... never thought about putting haste in.

If I swap out my STR gems for STR+haste in my yellow sockets, will it increase my DPS even though I'd be losing STR overall?

Using the Test Dummy has proven nothing but inconsistant to me. My dps with the same gear on, same rotation often produces different results up to 500 dps up or down from the previous run. Is there a new BiS thread anyone can point me to, I can't seem to find one for Destro.

It's 220 haste vs 440 AP, i.e. the same ratio as between a 20 haste and a 40 AP gem. So if gemming Haste is better for you, using the haste totem will be better too, generally. Also haste totem easier to keep stacked.

So with the patch this week most likely have we decided on the optimal spec? I think something like that: Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft could be the winner.
