You are correct.
Either way I am sold on WAR. Played in the preview weekend and loved every minute of it. Blew WoW out of the water.
After 2 years of coming to this site, I am saying good bye. I loved reading threads here and I learned a lot from it, but I must move on.
To Bliz, I know you dont read the forums here, but then again you dont read anything that your fans have to say so here is as good a place as any. First and foremost Hurry the F up. Take the Billion dollars a year that you are making off of WoW and hire 200 more Devs and start putting out an expansion every 12 months not 20 or more. I was bored with the game 6 months ago and Sunwell was a fix that kept me sated for about a month. It is funny when other MMOs that have less than 25% of the subscribers get more content. Second, screw getting something to 100% before putting it out. On test realms it takes longer to get the last 10% than it does the first 90%, but on live you will get that last 10% real quick. Do what every other MMO does and release content when you get it to 90% then patch it rather than spending an extra 3 months getting it to 100% on test while people are bored on live. I know you pride yourselves on releasing polished finished content, but you are just hurting yourselves more then helping. I would much rather play something that is buggy for 2 weeks 3 months early.
To all of you that play rogues, keep on trucking. I loved the class but hated that Blizz seemed to give our DPS away to other classes.
I rolled a rogue to top damage meters. I had nothing else and brought nothing else, but my damage and my ability to take massive amounts of damage from PBAEs. While I did usually top the meters (except in the growing amount of AE fights), I was just barely above many others (and those others brought buffs to the raid).

had noticed a new Rogue ability shown at mmo-champion.com. Can't say if it is true or not; but if it is, it is pretty nice. Other than the tank opening that has been suggested, this is something that can be useful on dps classes later in the classes for a dps boost.

Hi all,
I am very sorry if this has been mentioned in the thread already but I have not read through all 47 pages to find out. Would it B possible for someone to post a link to the wow talent caluctlator relating to the builds mentioned in the first part of the post as I would like to try some out.
I want to try the max dps build but givin jus the amount of points spent in each tree is no good for me as I am a complete noob so would B very greatful to anyone who can post up the calculator to help me along my way.

Don't know why but it is not showing the points I spent in frost, 5 - imp frostbolt, 3 - elemental prescision, 2 - ice shards and 1 icy veins.

how about the conversion for haste rating to a reduction on speed for weapons and if it was different for differnt classes say a enhance shaman v warrior or rogue
on a haste set that has say 289 haste how much of a reduction would that be? .3 speed reduction or higher as in .6 speed reduction

Yes, this is my concern,too. why would anybody wants to play enhancement then?
Our buffs are static and they are not stronger or unique anymore to make up for it.
A new rank of SoE will probably be on par with horn of winter, but will still be static.
abominations might and true shot aura are 10%AP not just melee AP like UR. trueshot aura is even 45y range and doesnt rely on RNG crits.
so enhancement shamans dont bring anything special to the raid anymore. are they fun to play compared to other classes?
No.
we got only one melee style.
we got one one shock to choose from every 6 seconds.
and new in the beta an instant spells based on a proc.
and LS proc. and wf proc. and some wolves..
most of our damage is passive, a very boring playstyle.
i really hope they will make our buffs more needed in raids and change our playstyle to a more active way.
but i guess they will just forget the "shaman polish"

My guild is a causal raiding guild and is still trying to progress into the midrange raids.I know as a hybrid hunter i will never top the charts as far as dps goes. I average around 700 dps, without useing macros, and have a ravager pet. Im used to cc often and do not want to get rid of surefooted, since with my current gear i fall short of being hit capped without it even with the 1% racial bonus i get. I feel though i can still improve my dps if i move my talent points around. I have tried to experiment with different builds and never realy seem to get any kind of boost to my dps and have even had it drop when doing that. My questions are:
1)Should i move my talent points out of survival into another talent tree?
2)would useing a macro improve my dps?

Heh I wish Hunters would stop being an afterthought for Blizzard, there's still many quest/instance drops in WotLK that only provide melee AP. Tired of them having to go back all the time and fix mistakes that shouldn't be happening in the first place, they need to think of Hunters when making items.

Okay, please forgive me for not sifting through the 54 pages of discussion, i have a quick and simple question.
My shadow priest is fairly new, and is currently using this item:
Frozen Shadoweave Robe - Thottbot: World of Warcraft
Its socketed with a +12spell damage and +9spell damage gems.
I just did a ZA run with my guild and won the robe off lynx:
Robe of Departed Spirits - Thottbot: World of Warcraft
My guild basically forced it on me, telling me it was a massive upgrade. It has 39 less spell damage than my robe does, and i cant help but wonder how this thing can be an upgrade for me? How exactly does spell haste effect shadow priests? i can assume maybe faster mind flays make them do so much more damage that you can get more MF in between refreshing and MB/SWD cooldowns. Is this true? and if so then how much would it take?

Ok I raid as basically a pure dps cat, or emergency tank "ie if someone doesn't show up" I have my build down to the last 5 points and this is for lvl 70 not 80. Basically I have to choose between Natural shapeshifter and master shapeshifter. or Rend and Tear.
4% crit > 10% damage to shred? I believe this to be the case but I'm not a numbers guy so just looking for some conformation.

Well i think the Talent is quite good...it gives you the chance to apply deadly poison if you have instant on your weaps..wich imho means you can go dual instant.
