You may, but you don't have to. Of course, that depends on the attendance of your tanks. Needless to say, at least one tank present must have IIT/ITC/IW.

I MT Vezax hardmode for my guild, and my spec doesn't have IIT. It's not optimal, but I had to move 3 talent points into Virulence since I am also on interrupt duty. In my case, our warrior tanks the Animus and he is in charge of keeping the TC debuff up.

I agree that that extra 6% slow is mandatory. But if other tank(s) can provide the same debuff with less cost, why not just let them do it?

Well, I've been trying to come up with a more unique tanking build for Death Knight. The first one is the one I'm using right now, and the second is what I'm thinking I should change it to. Do you think this is a good idea? A bad idea? Would it work or not? Any help would be nice. Also, if this thing would work, do you think I should adjust it to fit in max impurity to improve DnD damage even more?

Griefknight, you have to be one of the biggest douchebags I've ever seen on a forum, I hope you get into a car accident tomorrow. If you are so hurting for attention that you feel the need to tell everyone what they should be posting, how they should be speccing, best of luck to you.

Clearly you lack any kind of control in your real life, as you seem to come online to attempt to gain some on an anonymous internet forum.

The point you missed about the entire topic was the fact that while improved TC,Pally judgement,infected wounds all are baked into prot specs of the respectable classes because there are no good alternatives to take, as death knights we have that option openly available to us. Instead you wanted to go on some crusade about how you view things should be and that anyone who wouldn't spec that way is an idiot.

Well, you did good at embarrassing yourself, thats about it.

Cast rotations

For boss fights I keep CoD up, and I have LT glyph for extra sp, so keeping that up as well, and my casting order is

1 IM

2 CF

3 CB

5 IN Spam

Cast CB and CF as often as u can. I can get 2 CF out of an IM duration.

For trash rotation is similar, but I use SoD for an extra nuke

Hi fellow fury community, I'd appreciate some advice on my current gem and stat focus of choice. I personally feel theres alot more I can squeeze out of it, probably due to my play style. Especially on Hodir only hitting about 6.6kdps while i've seen other warriors push beyond 7.5~8.5.

This may be a little off-topic with 3.2 approaching but I noticed a while back that Blood Tap would occasionally reset both Blood Runes if used after a Blood Strike procced a Death Rune giving 2 immediate Death Runes. This mean that we can remove one Blood Strike from our rotations and get in an extra SS. Spec/Glyphs I ran some testing on the Heroic Dummy and here are my results:



No deviations from standard rotation: (SS1) -> BS -> BS -> SS2 -> SS3 -> SS4 -> SS5 -> Dump

Totals: 1048691 Damage :: 2437 DPS

Player: 940573 Damage :: 2186 DPS
Pet: 108018 Damage :: 252 DPS

While weaving in an extra SS may not gain any real DPS in the long run, it can be useful for trash pulls etc. The interesting part I found was that weaving Ghoul Frenzy ends in a loss of DPS. I was curious to find out if anyone else was finding this to be true as well.

I can confirm this. Using blood tap after a bloodstrike, both death runes are off cd.

If you mean that when you have one death rune on CD, and one available blood rune, and that tapping causes the death rune to come off cooldown and the blood rune to become a death rune, then yes this has been refered to multiple times in this thread alone.

As far as your results go, your numbers are too small a sample to give a reliable indication, and I find it hard to believe that using ghoul frenzy gives a 5% increase to ghoul dps as your numbers suggest.

Don't mean to come over as an arse, just I don't think your data is scientific enough to be usable.

Offtopic: Say again? Ever seen a rogue with the FoK glyphe doing 50K! dps on the Freya exploding lasher? Thats what I call king of AoE.

Ok, So I've been looking the posts here and checking out the simcraft site at google code, and maybe I'm missing something but where does it tell you how to edit things to change stats, gear, or how to load your own character? All I found were instructions to drag and drop a preset file and run it. When I open the preset file with a text editor it just gives me a .simcraft name.

I apologize if there's somewhere else in this thread that mentions this, but 70 some odd pages is a bit much to search through.

i currently get 3.8k dps with my 10man run using WW/BT/BT which a sequenced macro hitting slams when evered proced and smashing HS unless my rage is under 30. I keep up commanding shout for the raid and depending on make-up of raid, sunder.
i know my hit is high put i seem to lose dps when i drop under 390 hit and my exp is under cap but gemming for it(done hy trial and error since I can't use landsouls spreadsheet) is a loss of dps. Besides gear I can't see anyway to push more dps out. Usually raid make-up is 2 preist-1shad, 1 heal 2 shaman-1elm, 1 heal 1 druid-tank, 2-3 pally-1tank, 1 heal, maybe dps 1 mage and 1-2 warriors-1 fury(me) maybe 1 Arms(who likes to apply sunder though i explain I'll would have a less dps loss than him)

my question is for Eeks:

i was attempting to figure out where to put that command line in the simcraft program. i was unable to figure it out because im a noob. if you could assist me with a little run down on what to do with that command line i would appreciate. thanks Eeks or anyone else if they have the answer.

Im little confuse i have around 2750 SP 560 Crit and around 320 Haste Self Buff(not counting procs or anything) I Feel my haste is to low? im running 3/13/55 i feel like my dps is low =/
