Sorry for chainging topic abit, just direct me to another topic if my question has been answered there, but:
What seems to be the best DPS spec for a T5/badge geared warlock when 3.0.2 is released? from what i understand Affliction is the best option at 80, but does that also count for lvl 70?
Was thinking something along the lines:
Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft
Probably flawed, but was the best i could come up with.

I posted a suggestion on the beta profession forums that there be a cooking recipe added which allows you to make preserved food, basically a version of normal cooked foods that would persist through death, probably with some reasonable cooldown (maybe a day) and making the food soulbound to put some reasonable limits on use. It would help a lot on learning new content and reduce the reliance on the northern spices since there is a limit on how much of them a person can realistically get in a week.

How well does Efficiency work? 10% off the cost of your shots...how does that equate with our shots costing a % of mana now?

i am sure they said that lava lash will not prock windfury do to it spell like nature!
Even if that not the case just use it when windfury on Cd. not big deal.
Also for some people like my self who tend to open comebate with stormstrike and windfury gose off your next attck could be lava lash to make sure you use it when on cd when start with your shocks.
there no 100 % way exept to watch it and not to use macros.

So....what's the deal guys?
For Raiding the last month b4 WotLK
Affliction: Seems to be the best build for 3.0.2, question I have is what is that build? Do I use Shadowbolt? Do I forsake Haunt for Ruin? Is Pandemic worth it? Is T5 better than T6 for this set? BT-lvl T6, btw, no SW gear.
Demonolgy: This tree is dead. Agree?
Destruction: Less output with less survivability due to incessant addiction to mana. Is Backdraft good at all? Should I sac my imp or go down to Emp Imp.?
I currently am 0/21/40 Shadow Mage without Nether Prot for tanking Illidan.
Here's my armory:
The World of Warcraft Armory
I swap out Quagg's Eye for my Wrath card on bosses. So what are you guys doing? What would you do? I have 4-pc T5 in the bank. Since Sbolt doesn't proc Everlasting Affliction anymore, do I go back to T5 and go Aff?
Signed,
Baffled......

I was just wondering, in pseudo SWP gear, come Tuesday, what will be the best raiding spec before wrath comes out? Should I stick with Combat Swords, or switch to Mutilate?

I'm curious to know if anyone has considered dropping a point or 2 in the Earthbind/snare-removal talent.
Personally in raiding BT/SW i see a huge benefit to this for certain circumstances. Just as we have mages respec to frost for illidan. Having an enhance to drop the snare remover during the obnoxious frost nova casting trash pulls would seem to me a great circumstantial ability to have available.
Has anyone seen this mechanic on the Beta realm where the talent would be useful outside of PVP?
Also, I saw the weekly blue post of important discussions. One was a topic on how shaman glyphs are not quite up to par. While i don't have the link at the moment, I'm sure you can find it. The basis is that while most other classes get Ability changing effects from their glyphs, we generally have gotten simple ability buffs with no added functionality. (granted the 1% crit to SoE)
I saw a lot of activity from Resto in that thread and not much input from the enhancement community. What kinds of Glyph-able changes would you feel that enhancement could use? A good suggestion i saw was a Glyph to Add the extra elemental(fire, frost) debuffs to Stormstrike charges.
Here are some ideas, some may be OP some may be too weak, but they do add New functionality to old spells unlike most of the ones we have. If any beta testers see some of particular interest, be sure to add them to the discussion.
PVE
Lava Lash has a %# chance to also apply a (flame shock) dot to the target.
The Stormstrike Debuff now also applies to Fire and Frost damage as well as Nature
Stormstrike has a %# chance to expend a Lightning Shield charge if you have at least 1 point in Static Shock.
Static Shock has an additional %# chance to expend a Lightning shield Charge.
Static Shock Now also applies to All Elemental Shields.
Using a 2H weapon causes Static Shock to have a chance to expend up to 3 Lightning shield Charges.
Static Shock has a chance to expend up to 3 Lightning shield charges, Each subsquent shock charge used after the first has its damage reduced by %#.
PVP
Add 10% chance to stun for 3 seconds to stormstrike.
Use a shield as an off-hand weapon, where 250 Armour = 1 weapon damage. Weapon speed Matches your Main hand Weapon. Cannot be used with Lava Lash, or affected by weapon imbues. (too hard to implement i know but sounds so nice!)
Lava Lash has a 50% chance to drain %# mana from the target over 6 seconds.
Your Feral Spirits' bash ability now has a chance to root the target for 6 seconds.
Your Wind Shock ability can now chain to 2 additional targets within 15 yards. Each additional target's casting is interrupted for 1 less second.
And finally,
Gravity Totem.
Enemies who come within 20 yards of this totem are afflicted by the Gravity debuff for 6 seconds. When the Debuff wears off, the target has a %# chance to be instantly drawn back to the totem. 1 Min Cooldown. Lasts 15 seconds.

There really are not points to put into the EB snare removal talent, at least for PvE. It is too situational of an ability. If an ecounter really benefits from it then we can just respec for that content. Otherwise the points are better of going to improving our DPS.

In World of Warcraft: Murlocs Strike Back and we're all raiding BFD25 at 90 everybody will have a 100% crit chance so you better start working on your SuperCrit gear number crunching soon.

Trinkets to use for BT and Mh
Debating on the use of Dragonspine and the questions is Shard of Contempt or the Ashtongue Trinket.
Am currently using DTS and Shard.
Any advice if Ash would be better over shard?

Hi all,
I am curious. I loaded up a spreadsheet to see what kind of difference I could expect to see with Combat Swords vs Mutilate. I ran both, on humanoid targets, and came up with only a 12dps difference in favor of mutilate. This of course changes when the target is not murderable. My question is this:
Is that right?
Seems like mutilate should be doing better. Did I miss something? I have uploaded the spreadsheets here, filled in with my gear and specs. Can someone take a look, maybe see if I overlooked something. Thanks in advance

Speaking of Animal handler and pet hit, has anyone tested to see if Focused Aim's hit % transfers properly to pets? I know normal hit rating does.
