Does he outgear you or something because this should NOT be the case as unholy as more burst then dw and dw has a much longer ramp up time due to razorice stacking and procs equaling out better the longer you go.

Upping DPS
So after reading quite a bit into this thread, im having a similar problem to the one listed just above.
im doing on average 4.5-5 sometimes 5.5 depending on the boss fight.
here is a link to my gear/talents/etc The World of Warcraft Armory
i could not get the spreadsheet to work to tell me how much i should be doing, but i have a feeling it should be about 6-6.5 avg per boss, but ive beed reading some previous posts where ppl are claiming to do 7-8 avg depending on boss. only time ive ever seen numbers that high was on twin valks in TOC 25 by spaming sweeping strikes when ever its off CD.
ive been following the rotation priority listed on the first few pages of the forums, but still only seeing about 4.5ish
so now to my Q: what should i be doing differently to get to the 6k average mark; re-gem? re-gear to focus on different stats? change the rotation? idk...

Frost 3.3 wishlist
I know that this comes down to a wishlist in regards to changes to raiding as a frost mage and is only relevant in tems of what is possible, but I would appreciate any views on these ideas, especially Lhivera who has done so much in keeping this issue alive.
Changes to talents:
Cold As Ice
Reduces the cooldown of your Cold Snap, Ice Barrier and Summon Water Elemental spells, and your Water Elemental's Ice Storm spell by 10/20%
Enduring Winter
Reduces the pushback suffered from damaging attacks when casting frost spells by 25/50/70% when your water elemental is active and your Frostbolt spell has a 33/66/100% chance to grant the Replenishment effect to up to 10 party or raid members mana regeneration equal to 0.25% of their maximum mana per second for 15 seconds. This effect cannot occur more often than once every 6 sec.
Brain Freeze
Gives your Frostbolt a 40% chance, and your other spells with a chilling effect a 15% chance to cause your next Fireball or Frostfire Bolt spell to be instant cast and cost no mana. Any Frostfire Bolt cast through Brain Freeze will have no slowing effect.
Deep Freeze
Deals 1740 frost damage to targets permanently immune to stuns. Additionally, when Deep Freeze inflicts damage it causes the target to become afflicted with Penetrating Cold, dealing 1080 frost damage over 15 seconds.

Glyph of Ice Lance
Your Ice Lance critical strikes have a 50% chance to refresh the duration of your Penetrating Cold on the target.
Glyph of Penetrating Cold
The periodic damage from Penetrating Cold can now critically strike.
New Water Elemental Spell
Ice Storm CD: 3 minutes
Consumes a Penetrating Cold effect on the enemy target causing your and your pet's Frost spells to deal 15% more damage for 15 sec.
Of course, with Cata coming and the radical changes to talent trees, this is all probably wasted brainstorming. I also recognise that it is highly unlikely that any Blizz developers read these forums, but they certainly don't read the EU ones. I would have liked to present these ideas in the US PVE Frost 3.3 Analysis thread but don't have access.

Dourdon, you could try the Incite/Imped Cleave Build, or the more common spec drop Weapon Mastery and get Imped Execute.
The other thing would be regem entirely for Armor Pen and get a Armor Pen Trinket such as Grim Toll. Being Armor Pen Capped will be a high Dps boaster but will be pretty worthless come Cataclysm(or if they continue you to Nerf it).

"to ArP or not to ArP" : remember that battle stance gives like 6% on top of w/e ur at, and if u get the T9 bonus, its 16% on top of w/e ur at, so keep that in mind when geming. im currently sitting at 50%, including the battle stance T9 bonus so i would usually gem for Str instead.
for the rotation quote, i have yet to expiriment with that, for fury its better to stick with rotation, and frankly i think with arms it would probably be the same, hitting execute when ur at 50 rage or more, or somewhere near there. test it out, see what u think.

Hey guys, been reading forums for quiet a while and i need some help. Ive always been arms and just recently changed to fury. I need help with my rotation, my dps isnt bad but could be better. im used to more face pace arms spec with procs and what not. I intercept, bloodthirst, whirlwind, and slam on proc, what am i missing? MT is Paladin so im on sunder duty which i add to my rotation. i dont get many procs for me to use slam. Whats the reason for this?

Tier bonus question
I apologize in advance in case the question might be a clone.
I'm now raiding with 2 items from T8.5 and 2 items from T9.5, this being my MM spec.
I'm benefiting from the two tier bonuses: +10% SSting damage and SSting critting capability, and this is keeping me from spending my badges on other T9 / 9.5 items.
I'm not good enough on spreadsheet to work out a comparison i can be confident in. As a bonus factor, enhancing my dots is improving damage during movement, and i can hardly take this into account in spreadsheets.
I'd love to have some advice.

3 questions:
1. What is the top rogue DPS spec as of 11/23/09 with mixed epics from reg TOC heroics and 10/25 naxx and uld?
2. What is the top rogue DPS spec as of 11/23/09 with all ilvl 245 gear?
and..
3. What is the top rogue DPS spec as of 11/23/09 with all BiS items?
Very roughly. An "average" amount of burn phases, a "typical" amount of raid buffs, boss armor, etc, etc.
I will delete this post if I find the answer in these monster threads before responded to, of course. I don't have access to Excel on this computer, so spreadsheets are presently impossible.

with the latency factor and loosing 1k dps , he is not so wrong. I have the same problem: latency ca. 270.
I have a pala in my raidsystem almost same equipped, near same ap, same weapon etc than I have and he has almost 500 - 1 k dps more than I have, he has a latency of 50. So now I'm asking myself: how could I reduce the losses of dps done by latency ??
One idea could be higher crits I think or what is your opinion ?

You can go with OpenOffice if you don't have Excel available to at least use Aldriana's spreadsheets.
That being said, with 4T8 the specs all still contain Rupture, and when your gear gets good enough you switch to Eviscerate/Envenom only.
The exact point to switch can only be determined with a spreadsheet I fear.

I quickly entered its stats into the spreadsheet, and with my gear it scores 124 DPS lower than the [The Lion's Maw]. So if the proc doesn't make up for those 124 DPS, which from all I've heard so far it doesn't, it really belongs in the bank.

Assuming same gear, skill and rng, the only way to get closer is by reducing your latency. The only way I know you can do that (if you already have the best internet connection available for your area) is via tunnels.

Then why are you trying to tank a DK if you feel they are so inferior. I'm going to guess you either have bad timing on your healer cast time vs incoming damage or you are not chaining CDs properly during the kill zones of incoming boss damage. With no tank tree, but only tanking talents and unique utility from DPS talents you have to approach damage reduction much differently.
DK tanking is basically bear tanking from plate. Avoid as much damage as you can. Warriors and Paladins want some damage since they need to take damage to regenerate resources.
