Thanks for this post Mattimeo! I've been looking to answer some of these questions myself and your work helped me quite a bit.

I'm going to go BS/JC because I don't think Blizzard is going to make any fights that would require the tank to be a LW for resist gear and in the long run I think the extra slots from BS will allow more flexibility.

Yeah, I tried out the glyph today since it was only 3g to replace. I was able to get off FS->ES->ES->FS consistently but it seemed to interfer a lot with with casting SS, Lav.L, and LB consistently.

So I have a crazy observation about live at the moment. I am getting ridiculously high avoidance/resist of hammer of the righteous when I am using a melee weapon or any weapon that didn't previously have spell hit on it. Some where in the neighborhood of 40%. I am 3.4% hit and 18 expertise with racial and talents. But here is the screwy part, when i equip my trusty Merciless Gladiator's gavel i get less than 10% total mitigation. Now these numbers are against 70 elites in a dungeon. Is any one else getting numbers like this?

Is my mind matching patterns to chance?

Ok, so it's been almost 7 weeks since the last time I played with my hunter after the patch came out.

I joined a 20man MH raid, and I noticed I was waaay below on the dmg list, while my other hunter buddy was 1st.
When I found out volley was instant ( doh! :') things improved greatly.

Only when the boss fights started, I still noticed I was way below average on my dps.

My shot rotation is !auto, steady shot, arcane, steady, multi, steady

I noticed that my autoshot was interupted lots of times, which screwed up my rotation.
Is there anything Im doing wrong? I dont think its my gear:

I'm sorry for quoting myself, but I really need help with this. It's stupid that the Error Messages disapeared, because they offer valuable information in some cases. And I can't identify the cause of it.

Any Clues at all? I searched Blizzard Interface Options but can only find an option to turn off the Sound Error Messages.

Discovered the Problem. Fubar QuestFu is doing it... probably a bug of course. So be warned if it happens to you.

I cought up rumors about blacksmiths beeing able to add Sockets to their own Equipment.
Has anyone on Betaserver found out about the posibiity to have more than 1 Metasocket?

If so, do 2 different Metagems with 3% increased crit dmg stack?

Anyone has a idea on Death Knight Leveling to 80 ?

My first idea was that Blood was amazing for all the heals received but maybe Unholy with all movement increased can be better.

I am wondering if I should use 1 point on animal handler and 1 point on Spirit Bond because of the +5 expertise to pets with the animal handler or should I keep on using the 2 points that I have on Spirit Bond that I have now.

The 25-man raid healing build I have designed for myself will not be picking up Imp. Concentration Aura. I have decided to instead get Imp BoW being one of the 2 Holy pallies(possibly only after a few officer discusions) in my guild.

Switching to pally for main in WotLK ignor the Warlock on the side

Pretty much the exact spec i assumed would be the highest dps output however we don't raid at the moment i assumed conflagging would actually be an increase but you have proved otherwise?

My retarded Fingers of Frost idea:

Switch FoF with Brain Freeze in the tree.

Fingers of Frost - Gives your chill effects a 7/15% chance to grant you the fingers of frost effect, which treats your next two spells as if the target were frozen. In addition your Ice Lance spell if cast during the duration will increase your spell damage by 5/10% of your spellpower and increase the critical damage bonus of your Fire spells by 25/50% for 10 seconds or one Fire spell. Lasts 15 seconds.

Basically what this does is give you a choice, either you spam more Frost(fire)bolts and just keep raking in the crits with FoF, or you use an Ice Lance if you have a Brain Freeze up, or you are gambling on getting one. Even if you don't get the Freeze proc you can lay down a FB hoping it will crit (in PvP), or just use the spell damage buff as a means to spam more powerful Frostbolts. This provides a buff to players who don't want to take Brain Freeze as well as the ones that do. I'm not much for the numbers game, but I think a 10sec buff of 10% bonus spell damage is probably more DPS than what will be lost with one Ice Lance.

As I've been exploring the prot tree, I was curious when I found that Divine Str was now on the top tier. I was talking with other prot pally friends and they told me (as well with references to T7 gear) that Blizzard has decided to change the way pallies tank. My question is: Do I need to be scaling Str now? I found that it increases block, so thats always a good thing, but I also heard that Str now scales with Consecration, and was just curious if I need to focus on Str or SP still.

Could anyone give me a quick overview of the status of locks in 3.0 and WotLK? I've been skimming over some of the posts here and on other forums and the changes as of late don't look so good. I quit my lock over a year ago and I recall the class being quite powerful back then however many people are telling me that we're currently the worst class again. This sounds a bit dramatic so I figured I'd ask here.

Sorry for my ignorance but I literally am just getting back into WoW this week in preparation for the expansion.

Hmm no. My bf and I are going to lead the raids in our guild, that is mostly why I have a spot for sure.

It might sounds bad, but it had nothing to do with my skills. I know I am skilled enough for it, but like I said, I don't see how I will bring benefits to my raid more, or at least as much as a boomkin.

If shadowpriests are not as much useful in a raid than boomkin or pallies, well then we won't have a spot in a high end guild. That is why I'm glad I do have a spot in a raid, and that is why I am wondering if my class will gimp my raid or not.

Ok, so I tried staying polite and making my point, if I had not stated the word "bf", comments like that would not have been made.

Explain to me how being a girl changes the question, because in all that, nobody answered. I could change the word "bf" to "friend" and you would assume I was a guy and you would have no prejudice (and BTW, girls not getting in high-end guilds has nothing to do with skills).

SO, my question is, regardless of what is between my legs: can anyone open my mind of the past questions I asked, because I am afraid my opinion might be flawed.
