Needed Disc Changes (if anyone can post on the official wow forums or post feedback in beta, please do)

Aegis changed to Critical heals create a protective shield on the target increases maximum health by 30% of the amount healed for 10 sec.

Grace - 12 secs, activated by PWS

Penace - Added to Healing Focus for heals or changed into an instant (for talented cost reduction and interruption immunity)
------
Imp Inner Fire - Each rank increases crit by 1%
------
Twin Disc changed to 3 ranks, Surge of Light moved to T1 Disc, reduced to 10% chance on crits

DS talented (since you can get it from scrolls anyways)
Reflective Shield moved to DS local, reflected damage is now holy spelldamage and doesn't provide rage
imp DS also increases haste by 1% per Priest buff active on the target, this includes grace/renew/PI/PS and other short buffs.

Focused Power changed to increase all hit by 2%.

Allow me to post my feedback about your feedback

The ones I find unquestionable and most urgent are the following:
  • Grace - 12 secs: this is a fair buff to ask. The 6% we have right now is really not overpowered nor underpowered and having those extra seconds to do some other spells will greatly improve the experience of playing Disc as it helps moving away from the spam-bot role to keep grace up.
  • Imp Inner Fire - Each rank increases crit by 1%: not only this would help to improve a little the heal %s of the disc side(which probably need some buffs) but it also consolidates crit as a key stat for Disc.
  • DS talented: this is a nice perk to ask for, the disc tree is a bit bloated towards its end so this, along other talent compressions, could greatly help on that department.
  • Penace Added to Healing Focus: yes please, having channeled spells being interrupted is quite troublesome. Granted that you could be careful and time it in PvE, its just ugly in PvP.

Now on to some comments about some your other changes:
  • Aegis increases maximum health: this may be a little overpowered depending on whether the effect provides "empty" extra health, or whether the health part gets applied after or before the heal effect. It IS something to think about though.
  • Grace activated by PWS: with Penance you should not have a lot of troubles starting Grace stacks, but the PW:S focus of Disc could be strengthened by this.

In my opinion, there is a lot of bloating on the Disc tree right now, condensing some talents cold easily enrich the spec a lot. Some examples of condensed talents would be:
  • Focused Power and Absolution: there is a dispelling sub-theme running in Disc, uniting the dispel related efect of both talents would greatly consolidate it. If possible, this new Absolution also needs a new depth too, there are too many mandatory talents at the third tier talent space.
  • Focused Power and Focused Will: the hit part of Focused Power could be rolled into Focused Will, as both seem to be more aimed at PvP.
  • Reflective Shield and Borrowed Time: Reflecting Shield at 5 talent points its a bit too high in my opinion, this should also go nicely with the "healer that also helps a bit on raid DPS" theme.
  • Unbreakable Will and Martyrdom: as opposed to everyone taking Unbreakable Will as we do now, mostly PvPers will end up taking it after the expansion (due to the dominance of Twin Faiths at the first tier). The second tier of Disc is also awfully bloated, so this could help.

Thats what I have for now, hopefully my proposal is not too far-fetched :P

Currently I sit at about 1141 arp and was wondering when to stop stacking it. I read earlier that the diminishing returns on arp is not as harsh as other stats, where do other BT/Sunwell warriors stand on it?

Can someone confirm that they removed Weapon Specializations from shamans in Beta? (not sure if this is old info or something that occurred today)

edit: from what i read in other places, is that it was removed and instead we got something called "Maelstrom Weapon".

Hey Slyven - I see you stayed combat swords - what did you end up experiencing in DPS between the two specs (dual vanirs) vs. what you have now?

I would not be too pleased about FFB with elemental specc right now. It is of course overpowered an there will be multiple changes bevor the beta ends.

I just watched this all DK Blood Furnance run, when they kill the last boss (about 4:38) the loot bar is different. It's gold and shiny. I can't see what the loot is, so I'm not sure is some kind of special item dropped or they just made the endboss of an area have shiny loot. The previous bosses had normal bars.
That wasn't the loot, i assume it was the achievement for clearing BF, you can see them looting a few seconds after the achievement animation fades and it has the normal BoP loot bar.

Its NOT USELESS since I merely wanted to point out that there's already a 15% on the bow. If you add another 15% from the Quiver it might mess up the calculations...

A "useless" post would be (a combination) nonsense, spamming or just missing the topic. Neither of that fits to my post and ergo I really would appreciate if an admin reconsider his or her actions.

need help in 2s :(

I didnt see this in this thread even though i might have overlooked it seeing as there are 60 pages or more but im struggling with a druid partner of mine in 2s. I am MS/enrage with tac mastery and hes resto with feral charge. My druid will get owned in mage/rogue and pretty much anything with a rogue on its team cept priest rogue cause usually i can kill priest somewhat fast. I intercept back to him and hammy the rogue but if theres a druid i get ccd all the time wheither it be roots or cyclone. should i just set a focus on the druid and stay in battle and on the rogue so i can use my relect macro? should i try to put up sunders on the rogue too or is it a waste? The mage rogue combo could be easy but usually my druid will get caught by the rogue and shattered by mage. ill stay on rogue but only thing i can think of is to tell my druid to keep los the mage but he says he cant because of the rogue. Any ideas?

First of all, greetings to everyone as this is my first post here (of many, i hope).

While checking out new talents for every class it occured to me that Hunters' new Survival talent, Hunting Party, might be quite great for rogues so i wondered if it will change the ideal group setting for a rogue given it's probably 10 energy every 8 seconds? Any thoughts on this? And sorry if it's been discussed so far, if it was i probably missed it.

I've searched all the rogue dps forums and I know the hit cap is 363 with 5/5 percision, but can anyone give a general range of what your hit should be in T5 and T6? I ask this because a lot of people I know are trying to get close to 363 hit in T5 (currently what my guild is doing for content). Here I have 290 hit when they have 330ish hit. What is the general point when getting more hit for the current content you're doing isn't worth sacraficing the attack power or crit?

Another reason why I ask this is because I've looked at a few of my friends who are currently T6 Sunwell geared and they have 315-330 hit. All replies would be greatly appreciated because I have not be able to have a solid answer.

I assume this was the appriopriate place to post this because I'm new to the Elitist Jerks Forum and didn't know where else to post it other than here.

lately I have been messing around with mage spec's for Kara and soon Grull's. My gear is pretty crappy... but i figured you guys can give me good help for my spec's.... Stopdrpnroll
I doubt I will be doing many 25 mans but i may be buying a new piece of gear soon through Badges... (what items do i need replaced most, and what should i replace them with?)

also, what would a good spec be for my gear? i recently used (before trying out my current spec) a 17/41/3 spec. and i seem to go a good while before going oom with pretty good dmg output.

is their a better spec for me for a starting raider? (i would like one that allows me to put out a good bit of dps and allows me to cast for a while without going oom)

I really see these changes as an attempt by blizzard to make Disc more viable in pve without making it overpowered in pvp. They added a channeled healing spell, the easiest type of spell to lock a priest out of the holy school. They reduced the GCD on shield but not the weakened soul effect. So you still have to wait 15 seconds if you only have 2,3, or 5 targets where you're mainly just healing 1 person anyways. Shields on crit heals. Disc priests rely mainly on renew, PWS, and PoM with flash heals to deal with bursts. How useful is a aegis, that can be purged, off the occasional flash heal in pvp? Not game breaking.

I think these are all a step in the right direction to make disc more pve viable, but not quite there.

Ideally in a 25 man you want to have 2-3 of each class. Lets go with 3 priests, one holy, one shadow, and one disc. What types of talents would Blizzard to have to give disc to make that 3rd priest disc instead of holy or shadow, without making it so that the raid brings 3 disc priests? I think we want disc to be different too so it's not a gimped dps spec, or a gimped holy spec, so it needs to have some kind of utility. It would be cool if we could have some posts of suggested talents that could achieve this. I think group rapture is a bad idea because it steps on the toes of shadow priests, and it's probably best to avoid talents that focus on greater healing, since that the bread and butter of holy. Try to make suggestions that take pvp into account and wouldn't make disc OP there.

Here's just some ideas that I have off the top of my head. I realize that some of them would still have to be tuned for pvp and some are just lame, but I'm brainstorming here.

-Power Phrase: Shield - Channeled spell that lasts for 5 seconds with a 15 second cooldown that applied a PWS to every raid member but the caster as long as the spell is channeled. This doesn't apply a weakend soul affect, but the shield fades as soon as the channel is broken.

-Empowered mana burn 3/3: your mana burn spell has a 30% chance to heal 5 raid members for the amount of damage it causes.

-improved shackle: your shackle undead spell can now be used on dragonkin, demons, giants (basically anything but humanoid and beasts)

-improved dispel: your mass dispel ability has a chance to apply a renew effect to any friendly target that was successfully dispelled.

-innerfire aura: Your inner fire spell gains 30 charges and applies as an aura to all group members. whenever any group member takes melee or ranged damage a charge is removed

-Strength of bloodline: improves the effect of your priest racial spells by 20%

-Halfbreed: you gain an additional race specific spell blood elves (Devouring plague), human (chastise), etc...

-shield well (lol I know): just like lightwell but applies a PWS

-combat medic: 20 minute cooldown your next resurrection spell can be used in combat and has its cast time reduced by 8 seconds (Not usable in arena)

-improved soothing: Your mind soothe spell applies some affect, +1% chance for spells to hit or something

-mind dominance: 5 minute cooldown Your next mind vision spell has its range decreased to 30 yards and applies a 30 second incapacitate effect (not usable in arena since mind vision cant be used there).

-prayer of protection: all resists are increased by 70 lasts 30 minutes. (probably OP)

-improved levitation: your levitate spell does not break on damage and causes you to avoid ground based aoe affects.

Anyone got any other ideas? Maybe Bliz will see them and use one.

The best cycle for nearly all Mutilate rogues is 3-5s/5r, indicating that you perform Slice as soon as you hit anywhere from 3-5 CP, but always Mutilate to 5 CP before Rupturing (even if it means some CP go to waste)
So i was wondering, when you have 4 CP, is it better ton shiv or mutilate, even if shiv mean less dps but more energy after ?

Some overall questions

Hey !


Im totaly new with the hunter class. I've been raiding hardcore trough Sunwell as a mage and now planing on doing the same as hunter.

Since I recently dinged 70 its no point in showing up my gear to make anything easier but I just have some random questions, u can call them noobish if u want but atm Im noob as a hunter so fine with me. ;P


#1 Anyways I first wanna know whats the hit cap as a BM hunter in end game instances ?

#2 Atm Im using a ravager taken from Hellfire just because I've seen all hunters having the same when I was raiding as a mage so now Im just wondering, which 3 abilities should I use to increase the dmg in a raid ? Atm Im using; Growl, Dash and Bite but thats only cuz I think it have made my lvling easier but now I wanna know what to use in an raid.

#3 If I have understood it right I should use a specific macro for what speed I have on my ranged weapon, is that right ?
And if yes I would like someone to post an macro for what I could use for Crossbow of Relentless Strikes (the crossbow from 150 badges).

#4 And the last question is; is there any specific addons that quite mutch every hunter is using ?

Otherwise from these simple questions I would apreciate if someone could learn me alittle about overall how to play a hunter. As I've seen they quite mutch just standing there and spamming Steady Shot and does a huge amount of dmg but after I've read most of everything in this topic I've understand thats it abit more and that u're not standing there and spamming Steady Shots, u're standing there and spamming a macro over and over again. ;P
But Im kinda used to spamm things since I've been raiding as a mage and its quite mutch of a fireball spamming. ^^


Well. I think that was everything I was wondering about atm atleast.
I will apreciate all replys I can get and if there is something that u know that I've missed and that I really should know about plz tell me.
