What spec have you tanked Naxx 10 or Naxx 25 with?

It still appears that there's no clear winner when it comes to tank specs, or even guidelines by one spec excels over another. In an effort to help isolate viable specs, it'd be interesting to know what has been used to successfully tank Naxx and what strategy was involved to maximize their potential.

I still wouldn't put too much stock in the replies here.

Guilds on my server cleared Naxx 25 with a crittable main tank, with around 40-60 less Defense Skill than the cap.

I think you'll find that almost every spec has been "successfully" tested in Naxx.

My experience

All of the tanking i have done, the first 4 bosses in naxx (due to time restrictions) and lots of heroics, I have found that to get my threat up as a dk i pretty much just attack first haha. reall yplain and simple as long as you can start off with D&D threat is sooooo easy to build. I have only gotten some experience with unholy tanking so i will for sure be working on getting unholy blight and gargoyle worked into my rotation. threw 5 points into blood for parry increase and put my frost points down to obliterate for deathrunes and into lichborne...

Naxx25 is easy enough to clear with a crittable MT, but you are just putting yourself at the mercy of the rng. It is much easier to just put some effort into gathering gear and gemming so you don't have to worry about a instagib.

I used 13/51/7 - Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft

Once I'm done running 5 mans so heavily, the Imp Icy Talons, Frost Aura and Hungering Cold will probably turn into points in Glacier Rot and 2h Weapon Spec or Merciless Combat

Yeah, at this phase of raiding there aren't going to be too many problems; I'm excited that it will give guilds a chance to get through this content and hopefully Blizzard will use that as a stepping stone to allow Uldaur be difficult; not Gruul Pre-Nerf difficult though. Until then though it probably doesn't matter;

however I will be taking an unholy tank spec in for Patchwerk to alleviate some of the stress on healers.

I agree with Teyrocar here. We aren't going to get any difinitive answer at this level of content. It seems like this first wave of raid content was implimented solely as a "feel good" answer to offbeat specs. In response to Asari, I think the general consensus is that excluding DW tanking (with illregards to parry-haste) most any spec considered "tanking" has been successful, or at least viable thusfar. The next wave of raid material should start to weed out the less efficient talent choices for most classes, and I imagine that to include Deathknights.

Shouldn't this discussion be part of a the general DK tanking thread?

And yea, at this point it's still not possible to say "x spec is the best for tanking". Try some of the specs out, find out which ones you like the best. Just go with personal preference and the feel of it for now.

14/50/7

I've main tanked everything up to and including sapphiron in 10-man naxx with this without breaking a sweat.

Could almost do Gluth without switching tanks at all; got a little risky after his decimate though

Edit:
I just successfully tanked Kel'thuzad as the sole tank (I tanked the two adds as well).

I have the emblem trinket (9% dodge for 20 seconds) and I was able to pretty much keep one cooldown or another up for the entire duration of the third phase. I did get some bursts once in a while but I did not feel that I was at any time close to death

Here's an idea. Use one of the existing DK threads to discuss this.
