Have you guys had the time to take a majority filled raid into Naxx? and if so what have you guys been able to accomplish?

I ask because I am a fellow horde player and when I log on test theres maybe 1 raid going on and they don't make it far at all, as apposed to the alliance where I can see 2-3 if not more current Naxx raids that atleast make it to a boss.

We had full EJ groups go in and test out much of the trash and several bosses. We made a couple kills, and documented a lot about the fights.

The guild put time aside to do this - Partially to help the devs out, partially to get the scoop for ourselves on new bosses and partially because Naxx is a lot of fun. I say "the guild" because I only went to about a third of the testing days, but my compatriots got lots of work done and tried to do as much as they could.

For being the top of the line raiding zone that will be released until the expansion, how would rate the difficulty of what you have been able to see so far?

On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd rate it's difficulty a banana.

I would give it a difficulty rating of 47.39

We're all GMs so we only really tested our death touch commands.

Kite Naxxramas to Vael's room.

I used to have a huge image here, but then it got removed and now I\'ve developed chronic depression and suicidal tendencies. /wrists

They're just pulling your leg, of course. It's an interesting zone with great potential and some wonderful boss fights. Better yet, most of them seem to work right out of the box. I think Naxx will keep us entertained at least long enough for Thrall to sell my ancestors' honor and pride out to those stupid-ass "cute" blood elves, for the proverbial "gold and population boost" he seems to think it might bring our once-mighty faction. I say what good is a population boost when they're all a bunch of bouncing, idiotic elves? We don't need cannon fodder, we have legions of Undead Rogues. Have you ever been to Ironforge? The infestation of that place alone is enough to convince me that Elves belong on the end of swords and spears. (Metal ones.)

Ah, but your question was on Naxxawhatsits...

The first night we took a mixed raid as we usually do to test new encounters. I pulled agro on something and died, so they booted me from the raid immediately and replaced me with a mage. Upon seeing the damage meters at the end of our first night, we went back the next evening after replacing all our standard DPS with mages and oneshotted the entire zone with relative ease. Wodin was heard to say "Luckily, I already have an alt-mage..." while many others were simply left to mourn the passing of their general usefulness and resign themselves to farming up cash and reagents for our new "infinite mana speedkill crew".

EJ warlocks are to retain at least one spot per raid, for the moment, and will be placed on an "imp rotation" until tanks are geared enough that we can leave the warlock out for another mage. As a non-demonology warlock, I've been informed that my presence is no longer necessary and have taken to playing oldschool console games and Nethack in my newly found sparetime. I might finally have the free time to finally beat Chrono Cross, so I view this as a good change.

Cheers, and have fun in Naxx.

======

[EDIT: Thrall worried that people would view my above statements and think that I am somewhat racist toward our future Elven brothers. I'd like to take this moment to assure the public that this is not the case. I hate Alliance Elves. Not Blood Elves. *ahem* Yes. At the request of our proud warchief and in the interest of "continued good relations" with our soon to be Elven allies, I have been asked to pen something nice about our new friends. Out of respect to the warchief and our new friends, I shall take this opportunity to do so. Let's see...

For starters, they can't dance for crap. Their women have nothing on an orc gal's arse and are horrible in bed. Ah dammit, nice. Hang on.

"At least they're not gnomes."

(There. Now get off my back, you lousy sellout, or I'll send Goon Squad after you again.)]

You're forgetting the token warlock for CoE, post imp usefulness. Atleast until mages manage to parse out whether or not -resist gear does anything for them.

If using "he or she" seems awkward to you, try using a neutral gender term. Some people use s/he, others find that clumsy, and try using variations on pronunciation, such has zer or zier. Unfortunately, English doesn't really have the concept for neutral genders, so there's no real consensus yet. But that leaves room for one to be built.

well i have never been to naxxamas (my guild is stuck on vael), but lorewise it would make sense that mr. bigglesworth is the key to the instance. have you tried taming him ? maybe he has to tank kelthuzad.

No no, that has nothing to do with it at all. You have to bring in Nefarian after gaining the 4 elementalist shards which are very rare drops from a chest the spawns when you kill Ouro and C'thun at the same time, and after you bring Nefarian to Naxx you have to bring him to the Night Elf mage and they will do their thing. After that you have to go farm for several days for some very rare drops that spawn on random mobs throughout the world, and after you get those you have to find Alexstrasza (She is very will hidden) Show them to her, and she will you give a ring.

When you get to phase 4 on Kel'Thuzad, she and Nefarian will show up and Nefarian will be cleansed and give control of the black dragonflight to the raid leader, and then Alexstrasza and Nefarian will go nutso on Kel'thuzad, and then you will get your loots.

Obviously, if you haven't figured that out yet you are just not focused on the end game challenges.

I hear to beat Naxx you need to swim in the lava behind Golemagg in MC.

<+kenlyric> people who say they want less complex games are just trying to cover up the fact that they are bad at games
