How do you feel about the new 25-man raids?

Gear will be an issue in the short-term, but the disparity won't last long. Paladins are just so far superior in every way when it comes to end-game raid healing/buffing. Will Shaman be the first cuts made? Most group setups end up looking like this, after the expansion.

4 Paladin
3 Priest
3 Druid
2 Shaman

You can't really make an assumption like that. With expansion comes two more tiers of talents, new skills, and lack of a faction balance; who knows what you'll need for 25 man raid.

I think the expansion gives them a great oppurtunity to fix Shamans, especially when both sides will have them. It allows them to create encounters where they are vital.

That works both ways of course, Blizzard could just mess it up more.

Before the 25man cap I'd be inclined to say that yes shamans will be useless as hell in the expantion pack, just based on the current situation. (exept on autdoor dragons. boy tremor totem sure does the trick).
with the 25 man raid cap they show that they aren't afraid to change major game so in my opinion there is still hope for our class.

Totems are good and won't ever be provided by pallys. Shammy heals are going to become less important yes but so what?

You have 5 groups.

Realistically, this means:

1 MT group
2 melee groups
2 caster/healing groups

This would probably lean towards 3 shamans. 1 for MT, 2 for either melee or casters depending on the situation.

However, we really have no clue how its going to look at expansion, as has been said countless times on these forums already.
