Update: 9:45 AM PDT, September 21
Due to some corruption of data uncovered in the data transfer, our expected window of resolution has been pushed back. We expect the forums to be down today as we clear up any corrupted data. Please bear with us as we work to bring the forums back up as soon as possible.
Update: 3:30PM PDT, September 20
The data transfer is ongoing and we are currently anticipating the forums to continue to be down for the rest of today. Due to this issue the PvP rankings on the website are also unavailable. We are working to bring both of these features back up as soon as possible.
Update: 2AM PDT, September 20
Our database engineers have made great progress and are creating a new server to house the forums. After this has been completed, it will still be necessary to transfer the data to the new hardware. We'll provide another update when we have an estimate on the amount of time required for this process.
Hear ye: the World of Warcraft community forums are currently offline and will remain offline for at least the remainder of today due to technical issues. We're working on addressing these issues as quickly as possible, but for the time being, visitors to the site will be unable to view or post in the forums. We regret the inconvenience and will provide an ETA for their return as soon as we have more information.
