Hi,

I don't know if this is the proper venue (and if it isn't I do apologize in advance, but I am desperate, need your advise):

Are most servers doing Naax? How does one go about selecting one (short of going through the list, one by one? I am posting under the official forums "looking for a guild etc", but I feel that you guys are knowledgeable and the kind of players I would like to hang out with!)?

I am looking for a guild that feels like family, yet is competitive enough to do Naax, since my present guild, after a couple of splits and under new leadership has become too casual (i.e. resorted to 3 raiding days from 3 and does mainly BWL -even if all bosses are one shot, hardly steps into AQ anymore etc. Only been to Naax before, under the old leadership, etc). If you want you can check my other post here for more details: http://forums.elitistjerks.com/viewtopic.php?id=8615

I am NE with 7/8 t2 (next in line to complete my set, cause the new OT got it ahead of me), have all the right enchants, trinkets and such, I am very good at keeping aggro (13-5-33 with Thunderfury and I know what I am doing) and surviving...I am a team player (been also in charge of defense in all my teams, in many years of competitive sports, handball and mainly basketball), very dedicated, friendly and easy going - yet always looking to improve, to learn ways to become better at what I do (tanking, leading my class, etc) and with the expansion just around the corner I feel the need to move and experience more end game content...

Not only am I self supported in terms of reagents and repairs (but I help my the raids and my guildies with repairs money for everyone at times, or with mats to take a new boss down etc); I also help strangers and guildies alike (I invented this concept that I call "selling on credit with no interest"- I basically craft and sell items based on trust, expecting people to pay me back in time- and I offer lowest prices)...Started pvp recently (just to perfect a different kind of movement, both with mouse or the old way wasd- more used in static fights such as bosses) etc

I don't know what to tell you anymore, except again, that I am at a loss, raiding wise atm (the few power guilds on my server seem full on warriors, besides it is awkward for a MT to move, I've stuck with my guild through thick and thin for more then a year...); does anyone have any suggestions please?

Was born in Europe in a Latin country and have been living in North America for the last 15 years. Like to read, do sports and outdoors activities, yet I will keep my attendance into the 90-100%.

OT would be good too- as matter of fact I was close to go in as an OT or one of the 4 MTs for a guild that might need me for 4H but it hasn't happened yet and might not soon on my server...

/Happy hunting!

You sound like a stellar guy, but EJ doesn't recruit so I would suggest searching for a guild who does and posting this on that guild's forums. :)

Not really the place to post an app thread but what I would suggest is just going to a site like worldofraids.net to get a list of where a large number of guilds are at in naxx. See which are recruiting, what sort of guilds they are and I you think they are right for you (and you for them) post an app of their guild forums.

edit- also, with no tier 3 (especially as you are a warrior) it would be very very tough to get into the higher end guilds (4h+ and maybe even earlier) but guilds who are at pwerk or thad or whatever might be ok.

But that's exactly what I am trying to do: 'cause I see many people like me, that look up to guilds such as EJ, reading and posting here; I mean I got fabulous dialogs here, tricks and tips, finding most everyone very helpfull and not only with insights into the game but with a passion for it...Basically I am looking for a team like that :)

Go down the list on worldofraids.com, see a guild's progress and if they're recruiting. They usually have that listed, plus their server and homepage so you can see what they're like. Make a lvl 1 alt, whisper someone in that guild and introduce yourself, ask for your class' leader and get some info that's important to you (raiding times, dkp system, basically what the guild's really like) and if it works out for you, make an application on their forum and see how it goes.

I think it's pretty obvious what would be a right course of action. I don't think the EJ guys like their forums to be an advertisement board, tbh.

Thank you, I wasn't aware that such a site existed (hence my reason for bothering people here)!
Much obliged!

Ask again in a month. Maybe this policy won't apply to you then.

-edit-
On second glance, you're just posting a crappy thread and not an "Ooooo pick me, EJ!". Heap yes, ban no.
