with +1% damage reduction i mean that all incoming damage will be mulitplied by an additional multiplier of 0.99, ie you take 1% less dmg.
a) +1% damage reduction is basically equivalent with +1.01... % more health and +1.01... % amplified healing b) +1% dodge is better than +1% parry if your current dodge % > your current parry % b') +1% dodge always give > +1% dmg reduction, assuming all attacks are dodgeable, and assuming we're talking average dmg reduction under a long time. c) +1% damage reduction equals to +x armor where x=f(current armor)=f(a)=(5500+a)/99 d) a fix increase in armor increases your expected life time in a given encounter by a fix time, that is undependant of your current armor. e) druids are ugly a and b are rather trivial, unless combat doesn't work the way i assumed it does. c follows from the definition of dmgreduction as a function of armor. cba to post proof unless someone disagrees with it. d has been shown by some drood, i got general proof for it but its boring. e is obvious. |
Why did you post this? This is all unsupported and false.
