Hey guys, first post here.
Firstly, I'm a balance specced druid and I'm trying to squeeze out the most DOOM (Dmg till oom) I can get on boss fights.
So yeah I was wondering that if i sacrifice +75 dmg to put on 3/8 Stormrage for the 15% mana regen in combat, will that be better or worse. If anything I'd like to know the efficacy of 15% mana regen for a balance druid.

Scenario is : 6 min static fight, constant rank 7 Starfire (309 spell cost) with around 230 spirit. For convenience sake, I wont include moonfire chains every 12 seconds or natures grace procs.

Relevant stats if they help at all:
6.5k mana pool
30 mp5
with 3/8 SR - 300 spell dmg
without 3/8 SR - 375 spell dmg
3/3 Reflection talent for an additional 15% mana regen

I know I may have missed alot of variables and all and please do correct me or ask for any additional information required.

Yeah, if there's a sort of threshold for spirit where 15% mana regen > x spell dmg i'd like to know.
Sorry to sound like a hassle but yeah, I need some hardcore mathematical calculations >.<

Change Reflection to 6 if you have both the talents and the SR set bonus. This spreadsheet is for OpenOffice and for WOW 2.0.
