There has been enough theyrycraft about the raiding post patch already, this topic is for gathering actual raiding experiences from the first weeks.
Patch will hit US earlier than EU, so I think this forum can be used for combining experiences specially from Naxx raiding guilds from their first raids. I'm sure there is a lot of guilds pushing still few more bosses before the expansion, and I think nobody wants to waste time on bosses that were farm status earlier already. At least I would be very pissed if we fail to kill Kel again in the next 2 weeks (one kill so far only).
Here's some questions that might be interesting to be discussed:
- How far did you get on your first raid, was there a lot of wiping on some farmable bosses or was there even some boss that you could not kill at all?
- Which encounters were harder and which easier?
- Are the bosses hitting harder, or the armor formula change cowered with armor value changes/talents?
- Was the heal downranking nerf compensated well with the stacking HoT's and improved talents in practice?
- Was raid DPS general higher or lower, and were there huge changes on some classes performance when full raid specs?
- Most of the addons are updated already, but was there some really big losses like Fastcast that might clearly show in performance? Also, what addons you found good for helping people who have earlier relied on Decursive type addons?
- Any changes or bugs in encounters?

My current guild of Synergy on the Zul Jin server has Naxx scheduled for today at 6 EST. More than likely we will hit the spider wing first. We like saving Raz for later when not trying new bosses. This means we will get some decurse experience from anub and then faerlina tonight. I'll be online early to try and get some of the decursers to play around with new mods. I believe a mod called "grid" was mentioned on these forums elsewhere. I would like to know of any other possible solutions to this. Also, I'll most likely go with a Marksmanship build for the raid to see what hunter dps is like. Even though, I am really tempted to try beastmastery.

I don't know about you guys, but we're not raiding tonight. Even beyond the server issues, possible bugs, and other things that would make it a pain, we want to just give people a day to do UI, pick talents, and acclimate to 2.0. Of course, part of the reason is that we want to wait as long as possible to get horror stories from other guilds.

Our raid is tentatively canceled as well. If we get enough people on with working UIs and no real lag problems, we will probably go kill spider wing and razuvious, but I think our general plan is log in, fix UIs and pick talents, then go PVP a little bit with whatever time of the night we have left.

I'm sorry if i've missed it somewhere (so much to parse through) - which raid-assist type mods are updated for this patch (ctra, la vendetta, imba, etc)?

CT raid has its update posted, I think BigWigs is good to go from the wowAce site... RDX6 is running just fine on 2.0 servers.

We're just running BWL so we can get acclimated to the changes in an easy instance. There's not really any fights in there which would push us too far with the new changes. Chromaggus is the only issue, and we'll just have to be on top of the decursing. (No TL/IF plz).

We were planning on just running BWL while people adjusted their interfaces, but with the servers now delayed past our normal raid start time (7:30 EST) it may just be a light night of messing around with talents and the like.

I'm still let down with people that are saying that this is going to be such a huge change for them without decursive. They've had how long to get themselves weaned off of this?
I've never used it, and glad it's so, but I sense a damn lot of whining from Mages trying to decurse now. Time for them to download Clique.

Just a note for everyone at work and unable to see the message first. Blizzard informed folks at 1pm PST that they are extending maintenance by up to 4 hours (to 5pm PST) due to a problem shortly before the patch. They'll be giving updates every 60 minutes. Who knows how long it could last.
For my guild, this nuked the chance of getting an early start on raiding, at least for today. We're a family guild, so we start earlier to end earlier. Ah well.

With the delay of the servers coming back up, the current message on log in is 5 pm PST/8 pm EST at the earliest, I don't think there are going to be too many guilds raiding anything of importance tonight.

With standard 5pm invites and 5:30 pull, we're definitely not going to be raiding tonight. I don't have enough faith in members of my guild to even have their mods updated.

Can you see Xanadu from that high horse of yours? Seriously this post is so leet my monitor shattered and spit glass into my face in 12 places. How about cut these posts and go back to "learn to play." People will learn to play, and adapt, but come on, this is not a "trivial" change for most guilds.

I dont have faith in blizzard not to push it back another 4 hours because of their incompetence.

I'll go ahead and say if you weren't using decursive when it was available you were a horrible player.
There is simply no way that you were decursing as fast and with as little overlap as someone with decursive. Your choice to suck for two years doesn't make you leet.

I enjoyed the sarcasm (not sarcasm), but it is mostly a trivial change. There will be one Chromag wipe, a "Oh, that's how you do it", and back to life as normal. That is, assuming your mages have been preparing for the change since they've known it was coming for the past 2 months now...
Edit to respond to this guy...

Are you saying you can't find someone with a curse on them every 1.5 seconds (global cooldown) when staring at raid bars? That's pretty damn slow. Decursive doesn't do anything for overlap does it? Decurse yourself, decurse your target, decurse your group, decurse your raid. Seems easy to me, and doable every global cooldown. So doing that, I am just as good as decursive. Now factor in that I can do my own priorities (decurse people with higher health/mana maybe?) and wont get stuck on people out of LoS and all those other problems that decursive has, and suddenly I'm better than decursive.

It's a bit early to discuss raiding with the new patch, so instead lets all throw shit at each other and post like retards?
Well done, folks.
