Since alot of guilds will want their rerolling pallys/shammies to get leveld ASAP i've thought about forcing mages/warlocks helping to level them. Of course there's xp-penalty for grouping with level 60+ people, but would this work?

Theory was... At lvl 40-45, group 1-2 pallies with 2-3 AoE'rs and then go apeshit on the fields in Plaguelands.

Would this be an effective strategy?

Anyone tried this approach with any success?

Can it be done earlier (Like clearing SM or other instances with 2-3 AoErs)?

Are there any other way to "help" out powerleveling the rerollers (besides the obvious of getting them full twink gear)?

I guess it's information that many would appriciate.

This is kinda on topic, a group of my guild (one level 60 druid and a bunch of 30's) cleared SM for about 5 hours... I gained 3 levels myself and the others gained about the same. Seems like some of the best XP/hr I've ever seen (around 50k unrested)

maybe its a bit off but when i levelled my priest, i was running around, tagging blue dragons in azshara and a raid of 6-7 from the guild that wanted me to join killed them like crazy, i gained 1 level each hour from 48-56.
oh and we all got like 300g at the end from all the loot.

want i wanted to add to this topic is that maybe you dont need to consider xp penalty, and maybe you can do it on noninstanced elite mobs, maybe even better, that way you dont need to go aoe, i dont know your friends but forcing them doesnt sound much fun, maybe you can persuade a normal group easier that is looking for money to help you out this way.

edit: maybe even better; easier

They fixed some of this in a recent patch. Currently you only get non-trivial XP if you tag a mob yourself, and someone within 8 levels of you who is not in your group kills the mob.

Some serious power levelers have taken this to the extreme and created mage alts at level 28, 38, 48, and 5? to help them AoE powerlevel their new toons.

Honestly just don't see the point, unless your guild is really, really hardcore its going to be at least a month imo before people hit level 70 and have enough cash for flying mounts - yes, you need a flying mount to get raid keyed. Do a quick poll in guild and see how many people have 3000 gold or more. Probably not so many.
