Pre 2.0 WoW, damage in raids stacked up about as follows (single target boss that is):

1. Rogue/Warrior (decent margin over 2.)
2. Mage (big margin over 3)
3. Warlock/Hunter
4. Druid

Expansion WoW however, breaks down in my experience so far (5/10 mans)

1. Mage/Lock (With lock actually being over mage if specced sacrifice/shadowflame as top dps) far above no.2
2. Rogue/Hunter/Druid/ (as much as 30-40% below tier 1)

Question is, what should the tiers look like and why? Should rogues/hunters be brought up to tier 1 damage wise and have it left at that? What solutions should be pursued and why? :o

Too broad, beaten to death, and rather pointless as its own thread. No surprise no one has taken the bait thus far.
