crushing blows...

Ok so my guild is in Karazhan now and we've made it up to Curator.
My question is not really about Curator but about something our tanks have been noticing on bosses in Karazhan.

Did blizzard remove the ability for shield block to negate crushing blows? I remember tanking bosses in old world where you just kept shield block up so the boss wouldn't land any crushing blows. Now in karazhan both me and the other tank in our raid are getting this in our combat logs:

Randomboss hits you for X damage (crushing) (Y blocked).

For the record both of us have over 25% block so we have over 100% block while shield block is active. We are both full protection tanks with 490+ defense.

Yeah i know, but i'm not in Karazhan right now and at the time I was kind of busy and wasn't thinking to hit the screenshot button lol

Unless the mechanic was just changed in a recent patch, I can confirm that Shield Block still removed Crushing Blows off the table as of the last beta build that was up on Hellfire/Blade's Edge.

Kody and I sat in Twilight Ridge and had Reth'hedron the Subduer mash on me for awhile with and w/o Shield Block up.

I'd imagine for a bit of both. Showing a few lines before and after as well to make sure "You gain Shield Block" and "Shield Block fades from you." are surrounding the combat log line would probably be helpful as well.
