The problem is that they are running out of non-cheesy "XYZ of the Wild" names to give such things.
Mark of the Wild
Staff of the Wild
Idol of the Wild
Hide of the Wild
Gift of the Wild
Heart of the Wild (used for an herb AND a talent)
That would be a cool idea though. Wild Growth and Wild Tenacity, perhaps?

'War' is too small a word for what I'm fighting. Like a candle in front of the whole burning Sun. Now, I am not going to die today. I have other projects, and other options.
You can come with me. I can protect you.

Just found this screenshot (think I took it last week) - follows on to the discussion a few pages back where I was trying to work out what AP I could get up to (after Cryect posting a screenshot with his AP on whilst trying to work out sustained DPS).
Zero pots. <3 trinkets.
Still haven't actually had a chance to test sustained DPS properly though. Tanking in way too many fights atm and not really got the time to go out and just have a mob tanked for ages and check. Recap seems to reckon around 1100 there though, which isn't surprising with Rip ticking for that much.

Predatory instincts is primarily a tank talent in my opinon - there is a lot of truth to the rogue complaint that everything cleaves, and since a bear by definition will be standing in all of them, 15% avoidance more on an entire class of instants is not bad at all.

I see your 4.9, and raise you!
I really, really, really like potting up as much as I can. I get a nice little thrill when those huge numbers, that used to only be on my Healing Touch crits, go speeding off my screen. This was after a Karathress kill that I averaged 1064 DPS. (Thank God the bat didn't spawn >_<)

Amen to that. Bat = problems, normally. Such a piss take that with the bat my incoming DPS is about 2.2x what it is with the elemental, they should make it sleepable at least.

I'm gonna quote Sebudai here, with regards to the bat:
"It's fucking retarded that a random element of this fight eliminates one of our top 5 DPS and up to 2 healers for the first quarter of the fight."
Also, it should be noted, that a rogue and a hunter both beat me in DPS on that particular night

Ah, do you just have an extra offtank on it then? Normally I just pick it up with the hunter and the DPS watch their threat for a little bit. Healing is normally really painful if I get the bat though ;/ Enrage on both and a string of non avoidance without inspiration up hurts one hell of a lot.

If the bat spawns, I throw on the tanking stick, and hold onto him while we kill the first two adds. I generally stick around another tank to abuse Chain Heal/Prayer of Mending heals. After the hunter is dead, Blade Flurry, Whirlwind, etc., usually have the bat pretty low, 20% or so, and we just finish it off, then I go scratch stuff.
This week was particularly irritating, as he did the knockback ability twice in a 2 second time-frame. I went splat.

Stupid question but how much mana does shapeshifting cost in 2.1 without Natural Shapeshifter?

830ish iirc (cat/bear).
Pretty sure it was 400ish with NS for tree/moonkin (550ish without) and 215 for travel/aqua/flight with NS (so around 300)

If you had 15% aoe resistance from predatory instincts, 15% fear resistance from primal tenacity, and 5% from the meta gem, how likely are you to resist an aoe fear, such as the one onyxia/nefarian/nighbane does? Also, I remember reading that warlocks could stack shadow resist to become virtually immune to fears in Pvp. Does this mechanic still hold true in PvE?

I'm pretty sure you get 2 resist checks with ae fears. It's either just additive (30%) or multiplicative (28%) - and add some sort of base resist to that (around 5% i think).
Personally i think the AE resist alone makes this talent worth getting - the amount of frost novas, blast waves, shadowfurys and ae fears i resist in pvp is insane.
Shadow resist helps against shadow based fears (Psychic Scream, Howl of Terror, Fear). It does not help against physical fears (Intimidating Shout and all dragon fears).

Unless there's another metagem that I don't know of, Primal Earthstorm Diamond only affects stun resistance, not fear.

I consider the AE avoidance one of the better tanking talents in the tree, and its a flat out lifesaver as a rogue without evasion/clos. On Leotheras I usually just stand central in the blender to pick him up as the WW ends (the wars grab it off me since my snap aggro is stronger.) and I've done entire WW's without taking a hit. It isn't dodgeing since I don't see "DODGE" come up on my SCT either, just flat avoidance. Can't count how many shadow-nova's I've resisted on prince even though that's kinda small-time now. It is one of the things that makes me feel a little less worried about tanking those fearing/stunning mobs. I can't break fears like a warrior, but I have a decent enough chance to resist them and that helps balance it a lot.
I'd take this talent even if it didn't have the crit modifier. If you have it and the meta and the fear/stun talent, then you have 30% chance to resist AE fear, and what, 35% chance to resist AE stun? That feels about right from my experience although I haven't parsed it.
Oh, fellow elf scum, do you notice fear ward poofing even if you resist a fear? I think you keep it until you didn't resist but now I'm not so sure.
