cure/purge mechanics

Which debuff of a given type is cured first? Which buff of a given type is purged first? Is it order dependent (either as the only criteria, or as the criteria discriminating things of equal priority), or random? Would it ever make sense to apply one type of poison then another (e.g. preserve viper sting), or magic buff then another (e.g. winter's chill, detect magic, polymorph).

What if a cure that's supposed to remove more than 1 "charge" e.g. purge removing 2, or abolish ticking, hits a resist due to a "spells have less chance to be dispelled" talent? Does it try again with its remaining charge, does the remaining charge target another spell, or is the remaining charge wasted?

What I know:

Mass dispel: first chooses important (otherwise undispellable) effects like bubble and ice block.

(to be partially fixed in 2.1) Rogue poisons are nigh uncurable if applied from an ilvl 115 weapon (blue>purple).

The normal cleanse/purge/dispel order outside of Mass dispell is purely random.

Cures that have multiple charges such as the priest dispel appear to try multiple times. Cleanse will remove 1 magic debuff and occasionally you will get a message "Cleanse failed to remove Holy fire" while fighting Maiden of Virtue. Dispel seemed to have a try twice as their were 0 corresponding Dispel failed to remove Holy Fire in the Priests combat.

Thank you.

A related question: when selecting a random debuff to cure, would the game favor with equal chance a 5-stack of deadly poison, and a 1-stack of wound, or would the former be favored over the later at 5:1?

I'm pretty sure that's completely random aswell.
