[Warriors] When does spell reflection shine?
With the removal of the GCD on spell reflection and the pvp trinket breaking polymorph in 2.1 I can see a well timed sword and board -> trinket -> (bloodrage) -> spell reflection macro being a hell of a lot of fun to use on mages as they unload a nuke.
That said aside from PVP shenanigans I haven't found spell reflection to be very useful at all in PVE. The removal of the GCD is certainly a step in the right direction. I'm interested in finding out which specific mobs people use reflect against at the moment or expect to see themselves using it against come 2.1.

Actual Useful Situations:
Quagmirran - Taunt & Reflect Acid Geyser
Skeletal Usher - Reflect Ice Tomb (you still get the aggro reduction component, and it doesn't tomb them)
Comedy:
Ras Frostwhisper - Reflect Ice Tomb (he's not immune, he gets stuck in the block of ice)

Its pretty fun to reflect Attumen's -hit debuff too, and some of the larger nukes like the 4ks from Greenwardens in Heroic Botanica. Nexus Prince in Mana Tombs is another fun one to reflect to death. Reflecting fears is always fun too. Maybe if we're lucky they'll make some more stuff in Karaz, SSC, and TK reflectable.

I enjoy reflecting the pyroblasts against the mage dragons in Black Morass. It's nice to see that chunk of health just drop away.
I'm quite bitter that you can't reflect anything from the shades in Kara.

I think that pyroblast has a random target, but it'll work sometimes.

That's pretty much it as far as I'm concerned. Being off the global cooldown will go a long way in making it actually useful.

We had tanks reflecting 14k arcane shock thingys from Tempest Keep trash back at themselves. Got on to one of the mobs and it was already at 75% just from nuking itself.

It's great in the underbog, against the druid-pet / hunter boss, when the hunter drops the freeze trap, you can spell reflect, and step on it. The rest of your party will freeze, but you won't be. Granted it would be hilarious if the boss froze himself, but at least this way you don't have to take an aimed shot after the trap, and you can continue building aggro.

that's exactly what I was going to bring up. the double pulls of those guys plus the engineers in void reaver's room were insane from a healing perspective until our tanks figured out that they could reflect the arcane damage burst.

If they removed the animation for it (worse on the PTR), it would be more useful in PvP.

It still says "name gains spell reflection" in the combat log, which would go back to the times of needing mods to see what spells someone was casting, something Blizzard was already trying to move away from.

If they dropped the rage for it to 20 (or better yet 15), it would shine much more.

It works on the first boss in Mana Tombs also, doesn't it?

Usually, when I reflect the ice tomb the mob who I reflected will switch immediately to the OT. It is indeed within the realm of possibility that he just happened to pull aggro at this time. Also, it's possible to maintain aggro even if the reduction occurred. Even from within the ice tomb, I've tanked two Ushers at once (no taunts active). I can't say that I fully understand their threat behavior though.

Agreed. Nothing better than seeing a mob Mind Flay itself.
It also works pretty well in Mechanar, when those mobs do the Charged Fist buff. I know reflecting back the arcane damage that otherwise would have been dealt to me has saved me a few times. You can interrupt it, yeah, I know.
Now if they only made it available in berserker stance...
Yeah, reflecting the Ice Tomb in Karazhan still drops aggro.

I'll confirm this. In my experience usher's do a threat reduction when they cast ice tomb -- even if it's reflected.

In addition, you can resist the Tomb or the aggro wipe indepentant of each other.
