Response to Blizzard ticket: they are aware of this issue and looking to fix it as soon as possible. How soon that will be, who knows.

If stuff like this pops up again, a much easier way (in my opinion) to test AP stuff with is by just using Arcane Shot. No armor mitigation complicating things.

Look, Lactose, we'd rather you didn't eradicate the whole human race.

I use itemrack extensively, and occasionally I'll notice myself healing more than I expect to, and I will check my character sheet and realize I have like 200 or so more +healing than I am supposed to. I switch out of my gear, and back in, and it will be back to normal.

Edit: I've noticed the same happen with my defense, it can be 10-20 points higher than it should be.

Ahhh, I see. Thanks!

My comrades are my weapons, and I am their shield.

My girlfriend, upon logging in had her unbuffed renew tick anywhere from 698 to 752 at different points during Karazhan the other night, which is quite the difference in +healing numbers. Her regen during casting is also all over the board, between 85 and 97. I really have no idea how much of this is from gems, set bonuses, enchants, etc...

Healing/regen numbers were from a different spec than current, but here's her profile: http://armory.worldofwarcraft.com/#c...al&n=Sugarlady

Hmm. When I log on tonight I'll check that out with the caster and healer versions of the enchant as well. If one helm enchant is bugged, what are the odds of all the others being fine?

I've had a sort of opposite issue with character sheep Ranged AP, but my issue may be because I don't fully understand the contribution of certain stats, or have left something out of a calculation, but I'm seeing a Ranged AP increase after equiping a single item of more than I expect from manual calculations. Sometimes it's 15% more ap than I thought that item should have contributed. It's so much of a difference that I can't imagine any one thing that I left out of the calculation would account for that much. I ended up deciding that the character sheet has some strange equations for calculating those numbers, either incorrect of intentional.

Madscorl - can you give a specific example?

If I have no gear equiped, Equiping the Ebon Netherscale breastplate contributes what I would calculate manually to my Ranged Attack power, the more gear I have on, the more that chest piece contibutes.
Equiping it with no gear on takes me from 352 to 489, a difference of 137 attack power. If I have all my gear on, except the breastplate, I have 1705 ranged attack power. Adding the breastplate takes me up to 1869, a difference of 164.

When I'm doing my manual calculations, I come up with the breastplate increasing attack power by 137.335. So I don't think I'm leaving anything out of my equation. I just can't explain whats making the contributions of items scale with my stats.

Edit: Some additional information. The reason that I noticed this in the first place, was I was trying to compare 2 chestpieces that I have. The Ebon Netherscale Breastplate and the Demon stalker Harness. When I Unequip all my gear and see how much of a difference equiping the Demon Stalker Harness makes to my ranged Attack Power, it adds exactly what I manually calculated it to add. Now, when I equip all my gear except for the chestpiece, and note how much of a contribution the demonstalker harness has to my ranged attack power, it's exactaly the same as when I didn't have any gear on. That tells me that there's something specifically attached to the Ebon Netherscale breastplate that is causing it to scale

I guess what I'm seeing is starting to fall under the same bug that people have already talked aobut in this thread. I'd really like an explaination though, it's a strange bug.

Yeah, can't see any obvious explanation for that scaling.

If it is similar to the bug that I'm seeing, then WoW is getting mixed up between bonuses for 2 items that are equipped and using the same (in my case) lower bonus for both. In your case, perhaps it's using the same higher bonus.

Since the total AP displayed seems to be that used in combat, take advantage of it until they fix it
