Speaking of Warrior trinkets, could [Ashtongue Talisman of Valor] suck any more? I know that these trinkets are all over the map, and they suck for a lot of classes, but damn. That is just pathetic. Both Styleen's and the DFT are better than it.

It's going to be tough to make one trinket that appeals to both tanks and DPS, but come on. That is just awful. Does anyone use it, ever?

It's quite bad that they decided to put the same two abilities for both DPS and tanks. It should have been 50% to gain 55 strength on BT and MS and 50% to heal 330 on SS. Even then, it would been inferior to other trinkets, but at least somewhat usable.

It needs about 50 stam added, then it could be useful.

Has anyone used the Hourglass and Tsunami Talisman trinkets together and if so do they work well? I've got hourglass and Bladefist's Breath atm and with my raid concentrating on SSC until we've got down Vashj Leo's trinket is my only real raiding upgrade currently. I often pass on things for the bettering of the raid and Leo's trinket will prob benefit those who dual wielder more than me with my fetish for a big axe, but I want it dammit. :p

Solarian's Sapphire is a straight 87.5 AP trinket with 30 stam. In addition, in my raid, the 2-3 rogues, enhancement shaman, and 0-1 feral druids I am grouped with also get that. My battleshout gives me 517 ap. I'm pretty sure, for total raid dps gain, it has to be the strongest trinket in the game. It's my bottom trinket for now and likely to stay that way.

For my top trinket, I use an hourglass. It's a serviceable raid trinket. We rarely run Gruul so I don't see getting a DST. We will likely only run SSC a few more times and then sporadically for attunements in the future. The Tsunami looks bleak. I run few heroics and use my badges on nethers for cash craftables. I might be putting a lot of miles on that hourglass.

Yeah, unfortunatly my guild stopped doing Gruul's with only 2 DST's dropping in total, one going to a rogue who logs on once every 3 months.

Solarion's is an amazing trinket, I swap it on and off every once in a while. Either, I am in a group with a warrior who has one, or in a group with no melee classes. I was fury/dw, so usually gave WF totems to 2h dps.

What I ran into with gear issues, was with haste gear. In exchange for haste, I was suddenly finding myself with a 22-25% crit chance, and so streaky that I would find myself rage starved very easily. I stopped using Solarion's for a while to boost my crit back up. I am notoriously unlucky with streaks, so I picked up the Wrath darkmoon card to help prevent that. Even with 30% crit buffed I have still managed to stack Wrath buff 21 times (357 crit rating, 16.1% crit) more times than I would like to admit possible. I really enjoy using the card, for the most part it has ended most of my critless streaks, although I still defy all odds at times with it. However it does not give any passive benefits, and only outweighs any other crit trinket if you go 2 hits without a crit.

As for the Ashtongue talisman, I find it to be complete garbage, although most classes find their trinkets to be bad as well. I only use it for Mother Shahraz, where the healing actually does help me quite a bit. Bloodthirst + ashtongue + Syphon, leads to some decent healing, and usually helps me keep my life topped in case of FA. Other than healing the trinket is pretty much worthless, 110 ap that you can usually keep up 50% of the time, but with bad luck can be too rare to notice.

It's not bad and it serves a purpose, Ive had one for a while now (It's dropped 5-6 times from vashj..)

Usually i dont bother using it as i dont run into too many threat problems and if i do i simply hold back a little bit (Go easy on heroic strikes).

However it's a godsend on some fights like Bloodboil and RoS.

Ya, we are just now working on Vashj and got her to phase 3 tonight after our second night of attempts. "IF" one drops I just wanted to know if it was worth spending DKP on.
