I know its a little bit about bragging for some, and can lead towards flamewar about "who got better <class>" or "look, your <class> need l2play", but i really would like to see Effective dps of random guild classes to see some max capabilitys and dps marks for the guilds doing certain bosses...
So if its possible, can you guyz share your Effective DPS screens or text frame exports using the next pattern :
1. <Screenshot> / <Export (with classes)> of EFFECTIVE DPS (not Damage Done). Preferable from SWStats rather then Damage Meters.
2. Boss name (killed)
3. Full chemistry out?
4. comments, maybe some analyze like : melee were less effective due to that, or stuns made locks more valuable cause of dots ticks in the stun... etc.
You might want to check the later pages of: Sustained DPS.
Mostly, the differences in classes should be obvious. Low armour fights are good for melee, movement fights are good for DoTs, threat capped fights are bad for Warriors/Shaman, etc.
The sustained dps thread is a bit of a mess now.
I'd say it would not be a bad idea to set up a heavy moderated thread (OR do the same with the sustained dps thread), where you have some rules and the moderator is changing the first post over and over with the new input.
An example might be:
Karazhan:
Boss 1
1. dps/class/link to armory/link to WWS log
2. dps/class/link to armory/link to WWS log
3. dps/class/link to armory/link to WWS log
Boss 2
1. dps/class/link to armory/link to WWS log
2. dps/class/link to armory/link to WWS log
3. dps/class/link to armory/link to WWS log
Boss 3
1. dps/class/link to armory/link to WWS log
2. dps/class/link to armory/link to WWS log
3. dps/class/link to armory/link to WWS log
....
Gruul:
Boss 1
1. dps/class/link to armory/link to WWS log
2. dps/class/link to armory/link to WWS log
3. dps/class/link to armory/link to WWS log
Boss 2
1. dps/class/link to armory/link to WWS log
2. dps/class/link to armory/link to WWS log
3. dps/class/link to armory/link to WWS log
Mag:
....
Having a list like this and updating it would help a lot of players to see what classes are capable of. They could see how that player is equipped, what his spec is, what kind of buffs he had on him, and exactly what he did by a look at the WWS log.
On the other hand, if people are reluctant to share their tricks and experience, this will of course not be the place for them.
The anonymous reports part of Wow Web Stats could be helpful for what you're looking for. It's anonymised with random names so you can't see individual guilds reports (unless they link you to the normal version).

Raid dps is the sorting you want for the purposes of optimising your raid. It doesnt matter one iota which class is the highest dps in a vaccum, what you want to know is
a:which class composition will allow you the highest total output after counting cross class synergies.
and
b: Given these synergies, what numbers can I expect from my dps?

The anonymous reports are perfect for that..
Absolutely.
Only its not what you want for the purpose of optimizing your own dps and for epeen comparison.
