[Rogue] 2.1.0 Sword Spec + Dragonspine Trophy & Tsunami Talisman proc testing

I did a bit of testing on the 0.1.0(6655) test realm build, focusing on a variety of proc mechanics. I was using the Aldor exalted mainhand sword, with Fiery enchant and Instant poison, and a white vendor-bought offhand sword (with Wound poison), in order to maximize the damage range difference between hands amd make things a bit easier to identify. Talent build included 5/5 Sword Spec, gear included 5/5 T5 (for the free finisher proc), Dragonspine Trophy, and Tsunami Talisman. The fight was ~30 minutes against a lvl 54 Servant in the Blasted Lands, with occasional Blind & bandage breaks. I ran the log through WWS to establish counts of some statistics, but ctrl-F and lots of scrolling through Notepad were responsible for most of these results, so feel free to double-check anything you're not sure of, or otherwise question my judgment.

A few observations:
Tsunami Talisman has a hidden cooldown, with the shortest observed downtime being approximately 38 seconds (the buff faded at 01:56:44.640, and was gained at 01:57:22.625). The name of the new spell effect is Fury of the Crashing Waves, but the spell's not showing on Thottbot yet.
Dragonspine Trophy does not have a hidden cooldown, and occasionally refreshes the buff before it expires. The name of the proc is Haste, if you want to look at the attached log to verify this- I counted 26 cases where the buff appears to have refreshed itself, counting twice for buffs greater than 20 seconds. Adding that 26 to the 46 times the buff was gained, dividing by the total number of attacks counted by WWS (both special and autoattack) gives us 72/2458, or a 2.929% proc rate. Assuming that it procs only on autoattack changes the observed proc rate to 3.50% (72/2052).
4/5 T5 does stack with Relentless Strikes, so you can gain 25 energy for using a finisher.

Sword Specialization:
Sword spec procs swing your mainhand. Out of 133 hits, the lowest sword spec hit I observed was 374 damage (timestamp 01:31:54.812), which is well outside the offhand tooltip damage range of 150-156.

Sword procs can proc weapon enchants, but I didn't see any occurrences of MH + Sword Spec leading to two Instant Poison procs (which would be proof that mainhand poisons can proc off sword spec swings, but it's a .2% chance on MH swing to get 5% sword proc + 20% Instant proc + 20% Instant proc):
5/8 01:30:01.250 You hit Servant of Grol for 118.
5/8 01:30:02.781 You hit Servant of Grol for 116.
5/8 01:30:02.984 You hit Servant of Grol for 391.
5/8 01:30:02.984 Your Sword Specialization hits Servant of Grol for 433.
5/8 01:30:02.984 Your Fiery Weapon hits Servant of Grol for 40 Fire damage.
5/8 01:30:02.984 Your Fiery Weapon hits Servant of Grol for 40 Fire damage.
5/8 01:30:02.984 Your Instant Poison VII hits Servant of Grol for 186 Nature damage.
5/8 01:30:04.656 You hit Servant of Grol for 118.
5/8 01:30:04.859 You hit Servant of Grol for 467.

The following string is a bit odd, I think:
5/8 01:30:21.656 You hit Servant of Grol for 469.
5/8 01:30:22.046 Your Instant Poison VII hits Servant of Grol for 186 Nature damage.
5/8 01:30:22.875 You hit Servant of Grol for 118.
5/8 01:30:22.875 Coup de Grace fades from you.
5/8 01:30:22.875 Your Sword Specialization hits Servant of Grol for 432.
5/8 01:30:22.875 Your Wound Poison hits Servant of Grol for 65 Nature damage.
5/8 01:30:23.546 You gain Coup de Grace.
5/8 01:30:23.609 You gain 15 Energy from Combat Potency.
5/8 01:30:23.609 You gain 15 Energy from Combat Potency.
It appears to be a mainhand hit (with poison proc), and then the offhand hit procs a mainhand sword swing, along with a Wound proc, and two Combat Potency procs. If that's correct, and the intended behavior, it means OH procs are giving mainhand damage and 15 energy to boot. There's a pretty significant delay between the CP procs and previous swings, but that seems to be fairly consistent throughout the rest of the log- most CP procs show up .8 seconds or so after the offhand attack that caused them.

Sword spec procs off special attacks, without affecting the swing timer (the Haste buff was up during this time, for 1.53 mainhand speed with SnD):
5/8 01:36:57.484 You hit Servant of Grol for 443.
5/8 01:36:57.890 You hit Servant of Grol for 117.
5/8 01:36:58.078 Servant of Grol hits you for 76.
5/8 01:36:58.593 Your Sinister Strike hits Servant of Grol for 503.
5/8 01:36:58.593 Your Sword Specialization hits Servant of Grol for 439.
5/8 01:36:59.109 You crit Servant of Grol for 830.

Dragonspine Trophy can proc off specials, eg:

5/9 18:25:33.437 Your Riposte crits Servant of Razelikh for 1253.
5/9 18:25:36.343 Your Sinister Strike hits Servant of Razelikh for 573.
5/9 18:25:36.843 You gain Haste.
5/9 18:25:38.265 Your Sinister Strike hits Servant of Razelikh for 574.

I tested this by slowly turning my toon away from the target. Eventually you reach a point where your autoattacks stop, but your specials can still hit.

Did you get a proc rate on Tsunami?

Noctral 05/09/07 1:38 PM

I did this test for about 20-30 minutes today on a servant of grol:

Two swords, with deadly poison mainhand and wound on the offhand.

Stand at about a 90 degree angle so specials hit but not white damage, then just spam shiv.

If sword procs can proc poison, you should see the occasional deadly poison go up, if not you will see only wound poisons. If something is buggy (possibly relating to the double cp ticks) but poisons do proc, you should see 2 wound hits from a single shiv since shiv always procs poison.

Maybe I was really unlucky but for the entire duration I never saw a single double wound proc or a single deadly poison go up (except a couple of times when I used kidney shot to bandage a bit).

According to WoWhead it seems like Tsunami Talisman got the same proc chance as Hourglass of the Unraveller.

Can anyone test if the yellow sword spec attack in turn procs other things like Blinkstrike, Windfury or HoJ, like it does currently on live with the old swordspec?
