[Feral] Tanking Void Reaver

hi, first time posting on these forums.

With my current tank gear im at 20k hp buffed, 21k armor, and sitting at around 38% dodge with goa. Tanking void reaver today, the hardest hit i ate was a 5k crushing o_o, with this damage being somewhat laughable, would it be better to swap in dps gear with hit for better rage gen? and if so, what should i aim for, higher ap or more hit?

If I were you, I'd keep most of my armor buffing pieces. Then I'd try to put as much DPS gear on as possible while paying attention to defense and hitpoints. Basically I'd do that for any fight where there is not a problem with healing. I haven't tried void walker yet, but it seems like an almost relaxed fight?

I use the Shapeshifters Signet (feral weapon skill and more dodge), the Razor Scale cloak (morogrim) for more dodge/threat, and Zierhuts over Supple Leather/Clefthoof for more threat stats too. Sometimes I switch Moroes Watch for the Hourglass too, but that depends on if I remember/what mood I'm in (i.e. it's completely random if I do or not ;P )

Somehow last VR kill (yesterday) I died, but it wasn't to hits from him, it was to the pound (gg healers - 2 dodges, 3 pounds and died from it still, wtb heals).

VR is not hard, but he definitely is not "relaxed."

And yes, there really isn't much point to this thread.

"I'm tanking a mob where I need to maximize my threat generation... he doesn't hit me very hard though. Should I swap some gear?"

What do you think?

well the information from one poster was insightful, and even his remark about his death says something as to the gear set up for that fight and having never tanked broodlord, void reaver or anything similar, im not sure how badly im gonna be wanting the extra threat generation 8 or so minuits into the fight.

anyways thanks for the help

With any boss that has threat reduction abilities you're going to want as much threat as possible
