Does anyone have any thoughts on mages using the Alchemist's Stone for bosses where mana is an issue? I've quickly read through this entire thread and didnt see any comments on it and while I'm no experienced mage I would have thought that it would be pretty good for Fire/Arcane spec mages where mana can be a limiting factor on their DPS?

Is it worth wearing if you're an alchemist? I know T6 encounters are much shorter and so mana is probably less of an issue, but arent mages still quaffing alot of mana pots at the SSC / Eye level?

this trinket is probably an insane dps boost if you use AM in your arcane blast rotation and make sure you cast AM everytime you get a CC, (i'm not sure if it gains charges from every missile crit since i've never tested it, but i'm assuming that) because with th crit boost from clearcasting, you will probably crit 3 or 4 out of 5 missiles

so, proc dependent trinkets are more valuable with an arcane spec, the math guys shoud take that under consideration.

As for using the sextant as a firemage, if you have a spriest, mana spring and all those little mana recovering stuff, pot like a madman and use fireblast in your rotation, the trinket won't be sucky at all imo.

Yes it gains charges from every AM crit...it can be wonderous

Well if you have 30% crit chance by your self + 30% by CC proc => 60% on each pulse for 5 pulses => 3crits => 1 TLC "proc"~1k damage. TLC is really awesome with AM specc.
