Has anybody done the math on how good the [Skyguard Silver Cross] is on Hyjal trash like versus a [Bloodlust Brooch]?

I agree it won't work in practice. In theory, given infinite mana to work with and somehow having an exact, perfect control of GCDs, it would be an interesting proposal. But yah it'll never work out anywhere other than someone's imagination.

Now, if they remove GCDs from totems though...

Sure. Calculate the % of mobs in Hyjal that you have the killing blow on the mob. There is your percentage of uptime. I'm just going to take a wild guess that its not very high.

curious why it says that Foolsbane > Decapitator for the Offhand

is it because of the stats on the foolsbane?

What about MH?

Yes, Fool's Bane is better in OH than Decapitator due to stats. In OH the damage is halved, thus the stats on Fool outweigh the higher dps on Decap.

Decapitator is better in MH though due to higher dps and damage range.

You can click it off, and since wf totem buff is only applied every 5 seconds, it's easily doable without macro's.

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet, but according to whats said in the Itemization for MH and OH weapons, wouldnt the season 3 axes/maces/fist weapons (assuming you got the 2.6 speed varients) be the best enhancement shaman weapons in the game? (Im new to posting on this site, so ill just write out the stats, sorry no link):

Vengeful Gladiator's Cleaver (the stats are the same for the offhand (the chopper) and for the maces/fist weps)
Binds when picked up
One-HandAxe
187-349 Dmg Speed 2.60
(103.1 damage per second)
+30 Stamina
Durability: 105 / 105
Requires Level 70
Requires personal arena rating of 1850
Equip: Improves hit rating by 8
Equip: Improves critical strike rating by 21
Equip: Improves your resilience rating by 12
Equip: Increases attack power by 34.
Equip: Your attacks ignore 49 of your opponent's armor.

Since this post was created a while before season 3, I'm guessing it has been just overlooked. A hurdle could be the 1850 personal rating although. Any thoughts?

The same reason the OP doesnt list what epic gems to use.
The OP is a set of guidelines, if you cant work out, having read it, what the best weapons are, then you should go back and keep reading it until you can.

The OP is a tool with which to fashion your own solutions, not a book of pre-fabricated answers for those to lazy or stupid to figure it out for themselves.

I know what you're saying, I knew for a fact even before I looked at the OP's thread that those weapons were the best, I just thought it would be smooth for other people without the same insight in shaman itemization to be given that information for "free".

Ehm. So I want to ask a question that I most likely will be flamed for. Here it goes(don't kill me, Malan):

I'm resto and I have been since T4/early T5. I try to keep updated on the finer details of enhance. Bar weapons, I'm pretty much in the dark on armor selection. My guild is farming T6 content and my resto wish list is getting smaller. I want to pick up enhance items, but I'm such a lazy sod that I can't be bothered to create a huge matrix of all available gear to see the best in-slot items available to me. Anyone got any links where the absolute best gear is described or an armory profile with someone decked in the best gear available? I was gonna populate my wish-list with enhance gear, but I got stuck even at shoulders. T6, off-set, crafted? No idea.

Once again, I'm sorry to ask such a horribly cliché of a question, but I don't have a base set of gear to figure out my upgrades from. Most of T6 content is a huge upgrade for me. Is there a shaman's profile or list I can base my project on?

With the change to S3 weapons requiring a high personal/team rating I didn't feel that it added anything to mention it, since that requirement means that fewer 'PvE oriented' enhancement shaman will be earning the weapons.

Only thing I can notice with Sebudai's gear is that he's missing the cloak/neck, 1 trinket and 1 ring. Otherwise it's pretty much full "best in slot".

Hi there,
Been following this guide and trying to read up on all of the 255 pages

Want to say thanks for a great thread as it has helped me alot.

Now as to my question it might have been asked many times but I have not seen it.

What is the "best" mele grp settup ?

My usuall grp is - Enh shaman, BM Hunter, Ret pali, Feral Druid and a sword rogue.
Should we not change the Hunter with dps warrior or another combat rogue as the Hunters +3% damage can be used by all in his grp (so range coud benefit from it)?

They're essentially identical, but Insidious Bands gets a non-stamina socket bonus.

As I had previously noted, I'm not a big fan of including hit... So, I've been investigating the Haste Options, and the Bindings of Lightning Reflexes are 140.07 with your weights... And Insidious Bands are 148.22 with the hit included (20.52 of which is hit)... I dunno if the 12.35 EP worth of pure stats is worth losing for the hit.

I included the socket bonus in my math, is it still not better? I must be missing something.

I let it be at 4400(as standard), and I can't really remember the EP for it, but I have -399 ArPen on my gear, can't run the sim from here.

With my stat weights [Belt of One-Hundred Deaths] is a lot better than [Boneweave Girdle]. I didn't double check with your stat weights, but they are only a little different from mine, so I'm pretty sure it'd come out on top for you too?
