Here is some background, I'm a 0/21/40 (Shadow) spec'd lock with a touch over 1k shadow damage self buffed, 9% spell hit, and 21.25% spell crit. On most boss fights (~8-10 minutes) I choose to sacrifice a felhunter for the awesome mana regen but recently I've wondered if my sustained dps could be increased if I sacrificed a succubus instead. One factor which I suppose would have a significant impact on the results is the amout of available heals. I am not exactly sure how to explain the healing situation, it is quite good I suppose, lets assume infinite health.

Is there any math out there that supports the use of one of these pets over another? Is there a set point in time when the mana regeneration becomes superior to the 15% shadow damage bonus? I've done my best to look around for this info, my apologies if it has been posted before.
