Hm, maybe you could contact lossendil, the head programmer of WWS, to incorporate the TPS calculation within WWS?
Would ease things up in my opinion. Of course there may be some legal issues you would have to take care of since WWS isn't open source anymore.

It looks like there's a error in the output when you parse a report. I get:
Thunder Clap:
echo 'Amount: ' . $thunder_clap_exploded[0] . ' Hits: ' . $thunder_clap_exploded[1] . ' Crits: ' . $thunder_clap_exploded[2] . ' Dmg threat: ' . $thunder_clap_exploded[3] . ' Skill threat: ' . $thunder_clap_exploded[4] . '
Everything else is right except there is no big "TPS: " so I have to do the math my self. The thunderclap display does seem to work off of a linked report that made a top 20.

I just noticed that there is/was an error in the threat calculations from Thunder Clap.
Coolyo isn't working for me anymore with the new WWS format and for the old format it also gives an error regarding the Thunder Claps. But that isn't the problem.
Problem is that damage threat is calculated twice.
Thunder Clap damage is listed as damage threat already, which is fine.
But then the skill threat is listed as 1.75 times the damage threat.
If I'm not mistaken Thunder Clap's TOTAL threat is 1.75 times damage dealt. The way it's calaculated now is 2.75* damage dealt (1+1.75).

I dont know if anything is changed from when i stopped playing wow :P but thunderclap is calculated this way:
Damage threat = Damage * 1,495
Skill threat = Damage threat * 1,75

I was surprised with several information about highest possible TPS together with information how is Thunderfury bad and i choosed to test [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker] TPS result on Teron Gorefiend.
I am only average geared tank with mix of Karazhan+badges+T6 gear, bad hit rating and my TPS result on Teron is maybe not top ranked but you can check real THF power in todays raids.
Theron Gorefiend
Tanking weapon: [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]
Sustained TPS: 1130.6528677579
WWS log as confirmation: WWS log with Thunderfury
As you can check, average THF proceeding dmg is much higher in raids than it was supposed to be according to few older posts and there were several crits too but not shoved as crit in WWS. It is more than clear that from TPS point of view Thunderfury is usable still and better than for example Malet. For additional info my previous TPS results on Teron with Brutalizer were all worse than this result with same gear and THF instead of Brutalizer.
I have few screenshots during trash clearings with insane like 6 proceedings from 8 hits and similar madness but i think it is only random factor and on bosses THF is with too high nature resist rate. Maybe if NR debuff on bosses those TPS results for THF can be even better.
If someone is with smilar surprising THF experience in current raids, plz post your infos or logs for TPS checks with this old legendary beauty.

That TPS looks about the same as I get when using TF, it's actually pretty low.
I think the power of TF is that it is largely unaffected by your other gear choices, you will get roughly consistent TPS even if you use a high avoidance set, for example. You say you have bad hit rating - this may explain your poor result using The Brutalizer. I agree it seems to beat the Mallet, but it doesn't come close to The Brutalizer assuming the rest of your gear is configured properly. TF will put out about ~1100 TPS in any gear, you can even drop all your +block items, and stop using shield slam (just spam Devastate) and it will do roughly the same if I remember correctly.
Personally I think it still has it's uses - say on trash where you are not tanking an early DPS target, you can use avoidance gear and hold aggro perfectly well with TF, plus you are able to debuff them without using Thunderclap, which helps if many sheep are around. I also suspect it would work well as an offtanking weapon while not specced Protection, but I haven't tried that. I thought it would have use on very low rage bosses/offtanking situations (like Gurtogg) but in my experience it just isn't quite as good.
I think it's been shown time and time again that TF is still good enough for TBC, but that The Brutalizer will come out on top in TPS tests.

I hope this is the right thread to ask, but I think, this question does not fit in the tanking spreadsheet thread.
I'm one of the officers in our guild. We're currently working on Brutallus. Currently I'm trying to improve the tps of one of our warrior maintanks. Good thing is, we have 3 protection warriors which are pretty equal in gear level. One of them is sort of a problem child when it comes to tps. This especially comes to light in ros phase 2 or in the Brutallus fight. I honestly don't know where to further improvehis tanking style.
Comparing his gear in the armory yielded similar percentages. Looking up his skill usage and the amount of parried/blocked/dodge abilities and incoming swings was also quite similar to the other tanks'. Unfortunately I cannot supply some WWSes at this point because we just started recording our fights a few days ago and there haven't been any recorded fights with both him and another warrior which would allow for some good comparisons.
What are generel things I should look into to help him? Is there a typical rotation warriors do when tanking in an unlimited rage situation? I know I could ask these question to our other warriors, but there are some reasons I prefer having some "hard facts from a 3rd party" than telling the warrior "but the other warrior said this and that would be better".

He should be doing what you're doing now- reading and researching forums. The warrior theorycrafting and TPS guides in these forums should be a good start, although hopefully he already understands the big picture- sound to me like he might just need to learn how to execute and apply his knowledge.
Post some WWS links when you can.

WWS - TPS
I really want to see what "Enemy Armor Reduction" will do to TPS.
I have access to WWS for each run but having trouble getting info from
Coolyo[dot]org
It tends to tell me "You need to enter a url for a warrior!" which is a bit worrying.
Can anyone give me some guidance about where i can link this info from?
Once i get this up and running i should be able to post some info about Armor Penetration/ Exp /BV /AP.
I can give some fun examples of what Omen says i am doing but sure they won't be appreciated until WWS confirms.
Thanks in advance

Ok, i am using a different TPS calculation tool for WWS, rather than the Coolio one.
You can (hopefully) see a recent Teron fight. The set i used for this was Expertise and hit heavy.
Anonymous Player produced 1312 tps
WWS Loading...
Firstly, is the TPS calc i am using accurate?
Hopefully, tomorrow i will post the same link with ARP stacked at the expense of some Hit/Exp.
And then the week after that some haste gear. Can anyone confirm to me that once into SWP haste should be the best "alternate" tanking stat?
As always, thanks in advance.

From my experience, it is not. Haste does increase your melee attack speed, it does not decrease your melee cooldowns. So Haste does just increase parts of your threat, which are white hits and heroic strike.
Hit and expertise will help all of your abilities do more threat (because they will land). So 5% hit or 2,5% expertise will both increase your tps by 5%.
Wowwiki states that 15.76 haste rating yields 1% haste and 15.76 expertise ratings yields 1% haste which is 1% less dodge and 1% less parry. 15.67 hit rating gives 1% hit. So this alone makes expertise double as effective as haste and hit. Adding in that haste only effects parts of your attacks you get much more threat out of expertise, follwed closely by hit and then haste, with some distance.

Umm, what am I missing?
I can't seem to get Coolyo to parse correctly.
This is the fight I try to parse:
Wow Web Stats
The only thing that the parser catches is combat time. Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong?

I think Coolyo's parser is not yet updated for the new WWS format. Irrelevant anyway, as this new parser is much-much better.
