is this accurate? is this a result of the 1.3 speed of the sunblade coupled with combat potency?
i was thinking that the blb could be easily replaced (DST + WSC are right around the corner), but the dagger might last a bit longer... i dunno.
so, which should i go for? trinket or dagger?

Having a very fast OH is a huge advantage for combat builds; you're going to want to replace that ER with something faster. Searing Sunblade is a perfectly good choice for this.
However, what I might do, were I you, is throw together an arena team for a few weeks and get the arena OH dagger instead, as the season 1 dagger is comperable to Sunblade and the season 2 dagger is better. So if you don't mind pvping a bit, that's perhaps an easier way to get a good OH, and would allow you to use those badges for something else.
If, on the other hand, you are militantly anti-PvP, then get the dagger. You won't regret it.

For the record a 1722 in 3v3 or 1788 in 2v2 will get you the season 2 offhand in two weeks.
A 2057 in 5v5 will get it in one week.
So ask around. I think we have 2-3 teams in the guild that hover around 2.1-2.3k rating playing 10 games a week collecting points for s3. More often than not people will be willing to get you in for three games.

I've been hearing a bit about a nerf, intended or unintended, to the RED since 2.2 hit. I noticed in the spreadsheet that a large portion of the DPS increase to headslot items was infact due to the gem. So any word on if the RED is really nerf'd, if it was intentional or is being backtracked, and also what the effect of this will be on meta-slot head pieces? Is the RED still the gem to pick up? Or the haste gem even with the haste nerf? Or are we just stuck with a collection of so-so meta gems now...

I have no direct evidence, but all reports on the forums indicate is is currently nerfed to only work with melee specials. No blue has posted to indicate whether this was purposeful but undocumented (and in fact contradictory to earlier indications), or whether it is a bug.

Looks like it's a bug:
Drysc: "It is not working correctly at the moment, the change wasn't intended. It looks like it will be hot-fixable and we're currently in the process of working on one."

Does 13/41/7 for combat dagger make sense for raid?
+20% damage for special attack (backstab + rupture) when boss @ 35% hp
|
No, Dirty Deeds is a 21 point talent. I think you are mixing it up with Dirty Tricks.

Hmm, the spreadsheet is telling me that improved poisons would give a bigger dps increase than vile poisons, but everyone is always saying that vile poisons is better. So which one is it? Vile poisons is probably better for longer bossfights but I wonder if the spreadsheet just has some formula wrong or if I'm just an idiot.

I found some little bugs in the spreadsheet: the rigid bladestone is spelled wrong (rigit bladestone) and this gem is Unique-Equipped, but can be equipped multiple times in the spreadsheet. Same goes for the Delicate Fire Ruby, alltho this one is spelled correctly

For some reason a few of my buffed aep numbers have gone negative.
Ap: 1761
Crit: 30.92%
Hit: 26.95%
Miss: 1.05%
Buffed AEP:
Agi: 1.00
Str: .52
Ap: .47
Hit: -4.35
Crit: .75
Dagger Skill: -4.25
-Armor: .14
Haste: -4.59
Pretty sure this never happened till I got Shoulderpads of the Stranger. Something to do with dagger skill or am I misunderstanding something?

Edit 2: Doh!
Is it only AEP calculation or does it also effect your DPS if you i.e. replace a hit gem with a stronger one?

If I replace an 8 hit with an 8 agi (no socket bonus) everything appears to go normal in the aep with a .45 loss to buffed dps. With the negative AEP values, replacing an 8 agi with a 4agi/4hit results in a loss of 2.95 buffed, which seems excessive considering I'd still not be at cap (.79 miss rate).

Adding weapons
I am so sorry for asking this n00b question. I am attempting to add a ranged weapon by just adding the name and the stats right under the NONE. Where do i get the information for unbuffed gain, buffed gain. then to the right of the solid bar there are numbers. what do those numbers represent? How do i calculate those? If someone could give me a step by step on adding a weapon that would be greatly appreciated.

Weapon skill lowers the hit cap slightly. Use this applet to find out the hit cap given your gear. Remember that the combat tree gives you 10 weapon skill and that weapon skill RATING is not the same as weapon skill. Look at your character sheet to see what your weapon skill (not rating) is for the calculator.
My guess is that you are actually over your hit cap.

Well the odd thing is hit aep is only negative for buffed. Unbuffed is at .91. Also doesn't explain why haste and dagger skill would go negative only in the buffed column.

I'll look at this, are you using the macro or had you disabled the Macro AEP?
Are you near Hit cap?

Well, it appears to fix itself if I don't use the macro, hit goes up to 1.12, everything goes positive and whatsuch. However, if I swap an 8 agi gem with a 4hit/4 agi, dps still goes down as if the aep was actually negative. Using Excel 2007, I'd thought disabling it was mainly for oo. Is there something else I may have set wrong? Armory is up to date if needed.

I've just testet this with your equip, I've got normal Values.
Maybe you should upload your Sheet so that I can take a look.

Yes of course, it is for those people who don't want to use macros.
But it is good for testing (And I cannot know what you are using)

Played around with it a bit. Tried it out in excel 2003 and got the same result. It seems to be the exact setup, if I change anything, let's say mongoose to 20 agi, it goes normal. Even just putting 2 striking on a ring, which I can't actually do, fixes it. Perhaps Bill Gates just hates me. Can't say that I blame him, pretty sure I owe him money. Forgive my ignorance, but not seeing a way to upload here.

Madness of the Betrayer > DST > WSC
You would throw in Ashtongue Talisman accordingly, depending on your spec and average cycles. (For example if you are mutilate it would be better than Madness while if you are a 3s/5r combat rogue it might be slightly worse.
