Hello EJ'rs,

I have been researching Feign Death for a bit, and am having difficulty answering what would appear to be simple question:

Can the resist chance of Feign Death be lowered through +hit gear (physical or spell)?

I have searched relevant terms here in the EJ forums, looked up WoWWiki articles and formulas, checked other databases and can't seem to directly answer this for myself.

I am of course aware of the talent/direct gear bonuses that affect Feign Death. I am drawing a conclusion that since I can find no relative link between +hit and Feign Death that they are unrelated.

+ spell hit likely should lower the chance for Feign Death to be resisted, but I can't imagine it would be worth the effort/stat-loss to get.

+ hit does nothing for it.

If you are for some reason really into this, consider farming Nat Pagle's Broken Reel with some friends. It would offer the best bang for the buck in terms of ensuring a FD non-resist, 6.35% hit chance for 15 seconds. Combined w the survival talent and 2pc T4 you'd have 15.35% chance to hit w spells, which is very close to the cap. You could also get a Draenei or a Quick swap into a Totem of Wrath group.

I assume warriors have thought this through w taunt. Might want to ask them.

The Broken Reel was pretty standard tanking gear for our 4 Horsemen attempts actually. It definitely works on taunt.
