Keeping 2 pieces od t5 for bonus is quite good just for 3 events in BT, at fights where CoH useless. It's: Supremus, Shade and IC maybe. For the rest of BT events where priest with CoH got possiblilty to spam/very ofter using CoH whole t6 set (without legs, cuz Archimonde one is alot better) is just better. It gonna change when 2.4 come up, there You can use Helm/Gloves of t5 with boots/belt t6 for set bonus.

I get effective use out of CoH on Supremus by healing the three tanks at once, or by healing the melee if several of them get confused by the fire being blue this time.
Also I find all my healing spells to be useless on Akama since I'm too busy smiting.

Min-maxing for a fight as comical as Supremus is, to say the least, amusing. We were wondering on vent yesterday whether it was possible to skip Najentus and kill Supremus. Because after the patch ships the terrible guilds are very unlikely to kill the trash pull before Najentus let alone Najentus. But surely a group of monkeys could kill Supremus. And surely they could live without the Tier 5 bonus, no?
Not saying you shouldn't equip it, of course, but it hardly falls into that really necessary category.

You can't, the gate behind Najentus is closed.
And I've always found it amusing that Supremus is essentially Thaladred with more hp. An add on Kael'thas, but a full fledge boss two fights post-Kael'thas? lol.

I figured the gate was closed, wasn't sure. Not really relevant for my guild as we have no trouble with Najentus (now the trash pull before him on the other hand.... )
And yes, he's a big ugly Thaladred. I kinda want to kill him with 2 tanks and 23 priests some time for giggles. I'm confident 23 shadow word pains would be ample dps to beat the "enrage" timer. I suppose post attunement, that goal would be achievable.

Ever played 15 priest AB?
Well okay, it was 14 priests, 1 paladin... but it was hilarious.
Nothing stops 14 shadow word: pains from both holy and shadow priests. Paladin was there for JoW and to cleanse annoying vipers/poisons.
Battle for the Blacksmith? Send in 8 priests, 8 prayer of mendings, renews, binding heals, prayer of heals and shadow word: pain... with some starshards in action.
Yeah. I know I just derailed. But I am quite sure the T6 discussion is over.

Especially with nice weapon/armor swapping mods, I configure a set of gear on me to include a 2-piece T5 bonus when I'm assigned to single target healing and/or Main Tank healing. I honestly don't thing the question of "T6 or not to T6" is really an important question. Carrying 2 pieces of T5 around is easy and easily swappable with a profile in an armor swapping mod. The little bit of stats you will lose "downgrading" 2 pieces of armor to T5, is insignificant compared to the potentially huge mana return from the T5 bonus. Different fights (trash/bosses) require different healing and therein, there can be different assignments. Find out what what your assignment is and swap gear accordingly. I carry multiple trinkets and gear around depending on the situation. The 2 piece T5 set is too powerful, imo, to leave in the bank.
As far as which T5 to use, I'd equip what best matches the gear you currently have i.e. which T5/T6/badge gear etc. that you have in your inventory and figure out what's the best for you. You might get an upgrade or two and switch your decision around from week to week. If you have it all, well then I'd refer to the above theorycrafting numbers from other posters to determine what's the *best* combination.
I'd invite players to use a gear swapping mod and create a profile for each and every situation, boss, etc. that way you do all the thinking and theorycrafting up front about the gear that you have, so when you get to the next fight, you can simply choose a profile and instantly be ready to maximize your efficiency at healing. Simply "settling" on one gear set to raid with is an archaic mentality esp. since BC.
