[Holy Priest] CoH & Silent Resolve

I've offered to spec out of IMP DS for CoH for our raids and am wondering if 4/5 in Silent resolve is still sufficient threat reduction or if it would be more advisable to go 5/5 SR and only 4/5 MA....thanks for any advice...

I would think 4/5 SR would be fine... there are very few threat-sensitive fights for a healing priest that fade does not comletely trivialize. (Morogrim I guess, although I don't think I've ever seen fade not be enough there as long as you wait to top people up until the AoE has hit the murlocs.)

I don't find any reason to spec for silent Resolve for raiding, if you are going to get aggro you will get it anyways, meaning it should be only possible from new spawns and fade will solve that. And if there's aggro resets like Leo or Illidan, you just need to understand when to stop healing for 1-2 seconds.

Also, grabbing the -2% threat enchant to cloak that will be more available next patch will help mitigate going from 5/5 to 4/5 silent resolve.

It isn't a needed talent and you don't need to plan specs around it. It isn't additive anyway, and neither is the cloak enchant for that matter. You would be best served simply not worrying about it at all.
