[Rogue] Quick mace using spec questions

Hello there goodfellows.

My orc rogue Xebeche has so far been a 19/42/0 (link) spec using Vindicator's Brand and S2 arena offhand sword.

Tonight, Fool's Bane dropped from Illhoof, I won it - it's rated higher as a mainhander AEP-wise, and generally I thought mace could be a bit of fun. I have no mace or other offhand of comparable quality to my OH sword, really (closest would be Blackout Truncheon).

I am left with many questions of how to spec myself for optimal raid DPS now. Mostly, I'm wondering if I need +skill talents to both weapons. I'm merely unsure how much +10 skill to my offhand will affect overall damage. I decided after a while to go with specialization in both weapon types, but not +skill: 18/43/0 (link)

So, my questions:

1) Do you guys believe I will see an increase in overall raid DPS using this talent spec and Fool's Bane?

2) Do you have any suggestions as to modifications to the talent spec?

Do not hesitate to get technical, please

Plug your gear into either the Gear or DSP spread sheets and find out. Though my gut tells me that it won't be much of an upgrade if any.

+5 weapon skill is worth +3% hit.
+10 weapon skill is worth +3.5% hit.

Note that it is still unknown how much value 1 point of weapon skill gives you exactly if you are still below +5 skill (i.e. you only take two points in mace spec and thus have only 4 additional weapon skill). We do know however that once you have reached the 5 skill, you're seeing 3% less misses on boss level mobs.

The DPS spreadsheet won't tell you this difference, since it doesn't have the correct formula built in yet. No wonder, since we haven't figured it out yet.

Thank you for your input, both.
The results are back from the lab (Rogue DPS spreadsheet 2.2.0.9):

Sword specialization (vs. mace) easily makes up for a 59 AEP difference on MH (as per ShadowPanther), regardless of +skill talents.

Weapon expertise is a benefit over 2 points Imp Evis, even if only OH is a sword (and rupture is not used).

Overall, we're talking about a drop of less than 1% in raid DPS though, so I might consider keeping the candelabra (mace) for PVP.
Today's obvious lesson learned: Maces are for PVP
