Can anyone confirm if applying Rip can trigger procs based on hitting? I can see both answers being reasonable. I can also see testing it a pain. Since individual ticks cannot be dodged or parried and the initial application follows general rules of special attacks, It should be considered a "hit" if it lands. However, the damage only occurs on the DoT ticks and obviously each tick won't count as a separate attack.

2/5 T4 + 4/5 T6 ... when should we start wearing this kind if setup? As soon as possible? Or until we get more ideal pieces?
Right now, I have the bracers, which lets me piece together:
T4 Helm + Kael Neck + T6 Shoulders + Shadowmoon Cloak + T4 Chest + T6 Bracer
T6 Gloves + Vashj Belt + T6 Pants + Shadowmaster Boots
Stormrage Signet + Hyjal Exalted + Shard of Contempt + Madness
Prior to the bracers, I was using:
Cursed Vision + Kael Neck + T4 Shoulder + Shadowmoon Cloak + T4 Chest + Insidious Bands
T6 Gloves + Vashj Belt + T6 Pants + Shadowmaster Boots
Signet of Primal Wrath + Hyjal Exalted + Shard of Contempt + Madness
The overall difference is about 50 ap and 3% crit in exchange for 15% Rip damage.
Is it time for 2/5 T5 + 4/5 T6 or should I wait for Brutallus to drop a belt?

If you have a look at the Rawr thread here you will see there are ways of getting it to run on a Mac.
There are also three spreadsheets listed at the bottom of the cat post or you could plug your stats in both sets of gear into the web calculator which Rawr uses for its calculation, it is one click away from the Rawr link but as you want your answers spoon fed to you click here.

Rawr b13 Released! Rawr - Release: Rawr b13
- Rawr now includes a Retribution model, built by Anarkii! Since it's our first Ret release, it may have some bugs, so please report anything you find wrong with it, and welcome to Rawr, Retadins!
- Added an Optimizer feature. The Optimizer works by looking at different combinations of gear that you have available (mark items as available by clicking the diamond next to the item in the charts), and finding the best possible set of gear. There's lots to see in the Optimizer, so give it a try, and let us know how it works. One known issue with the optimizer: Unique gems may be used multiple times; best to just not mark any unique gems as Available for now.
- Added a Status dialog that will show the status of all pending network operations (like loading items from the Armory). Note that there's still no way to cancel these operations while they're in-progress, but we hope to have that in a future update, soon.
- Improved the performance of loading and saving cached items, and performing some common item stat calculations, and fixed several bugs with the item editor.
- Items with class restrictions will not show up for other classes.
- Items will now display a Location, of where to get them. The data for this is still vague or non-existent in some cases, since it's loaded from the Armory, but for the most part it should be useful.
- All DPS models' DPS rating is calculated in terms of plain DPS (as opposed to DPS*100);
- Downloads from the Armory should be more resilient now, retrying whenever random failures occur, and correctly supporting more types of proxy servers where needed.
- The current character name and filename will appear in the title bar.
- Tooltips are now shown for buffs on the buff selection tab.
- Buffs and Enchants will now combine the built-in lists with what's in your itemcache, so that you can preserve customizations between versions.
- Rawr.Bear: Added all missing 2.4 items/enchants to the default ItemCache, resist enchants are now correctly counted, there are now debuffs for Sunwell Radiance and mobs that don't crush.

Is there an easy way to make rawr only show 1 of each item, or do i have to delete the copies with different gems manually?

I think this wouldn't make much sence since the geming is an important part of the rating system.
Depending on your strategy of geming there are different possibilities for an item with gems. So I think the way it is, it is fine. However you have a longer list to select but I don't mind about that.
Rawr is a cool tool

I've read about half of this thread but cba to go on
I haven't read a thing about haste yet
Is haste rating viable for feral DPS
if yes, how much and which items
if not, why ?
haste on melee ppl is supposed to buff white dmg
and my WWS shows half of my dmg is white.
So as simple as i am i think it should buff my dps

There's like 40 thunderheart chests to scroll through in order to find the badge chest. I just thought it would be nice with an option to just show the one with the most powerful gemming.
I'm not sure how exactly people look at the numbers but to me stamina gems gets an item too high on the list, so I don't see a huge use for having 40 different ways to gem an item to push it up or down 200 points. You'll still adjust slightly for crit immunity most of the time anyway so you can't follow what's highest on the list.
Boelies: Haste is not a bad stat but it doesn't appear on many items. Drums of battle are good, dragonspine trophy is good. The new badge gear with haste is good, but not if you're already in end game setup.
Basically don't avoid the stat but don't go looking for it either.

Is anybody having trouble with the potion/healthstone Macro? (After 2.4)
My character actually appears out of bear form now on my screen, so i am very edgy about using it.
-----------------------------------------
And also would any druids experienced with Feral DPS'ing be able to help me improve me dps?
I'm used to playing a hunter so i don't know how much i should be doing. Rawr suggests around what i'm getting, so i guess that's good.
Here's a WWS of me last night: Monkens - WWS
Can anybody see any ovbious things i could improve? (Ferocious bite was only cause the boss was at 1% health and rip wouldn't of have time to tick)

Craftable shoulders/bracers
BT: gloves/belt
multiple haste trinkets and some badge loot
i was just wondering that if u have plenty of crit/ap and ur hit capped... Will it then increase your DPS this much that u can downgrade your AP a little to get more haste...

Just use Toskks Dps Calculator
The Druid Wiki ToskksDPSGearMethod
You will find wich item is better for you. Usually stats from better to worse are:
agi>hit(until capped)=expertise(until capped)>crit>strength>attack power>haste
So haste is the worst, but its not a bad stat if you can have a lot of haste on one item, like dragonspin trophy, and its a stat that scale very well.
I dont really know for armor penetration, but i think its equivalent to strength.

Just wanted to put out a big thank you once again for all of your work on this Astrylian. Some of these improvements look great. There were 4 or 5 improvements in that list that I've been thinking would really improve the usefulness of the application, but I never got off my lazy butt to email the suggestions in to you. Glad to see that you can read my mind anyway.

Regarding all the different gemmings in b13... Yeah, I kinda went overboard on all the different possible gemmings, sorry about that. I'll try to clean that up in b13.2 or b14. In a more general sense, I hope to revamp the gemming system to avoid all that clutter anyway, at a later time, but not in the immediate future.

curious
/script local gcd=GetSpellCooldown("Dire Bear Form"); if gcd==0 then CancelPlayerBuff("Dire Bear Form") end;
/stopmacro [stance:1]
/use Master Healthstone
/use item:32905
/use item:32784
/use item:28100
/use item:22829
/cast Dire Bear Form
Are you able to switch this macro to be used with cat form?

Pot Macro Issues

Long-time reader (yes, the entire thread), and first-time poster, and I just wanted to say thanks to everyone here for continuing to be the premier source for feral druid information.
I noticed the same issue yesterday after changing my macro to the following (for reference) after using the standard /cancelform macro that doesn't check the GCD:
/script local gcd=GetSpellCooldown("Dire Bear Form"); if gcd==0 then CancelPlayerBuff("Dire Bear Form") end;
/stopmacro [stance:1]
/use Master Healthstone
/use item:33934
/use item:32947
/use item:22829
/use item:32578
/cast Dire Bear Form
My caster form has been appearing amidst the misty form-changing graphic for a brief second on the shift. I assume from the previous post that it is not an issue with the macro itself, since a number of people have been using it for a while and never reported any issues until now. Is there a way for me to test whether it's a graphical anomaly or I am actually changing form short of using it and seeing if I ever happen to be insta-gibbed, and has anyone else been noticing this or seen a fix for it?

Well, the actual mechanic of shifting hasn't changed with 2.3 (wich introduced client-side shifting), so you'll always see the caster form with some kind of lag. If you don't see it, your computer was simply to fast. Nothing to really worry about, since you can't really do anything about it.

Fairly certain I got hit by Brutallus yesterday using a macro for Ironskin pot. Seen a 12k hit on SCT, didn't go back to check my in game Combat Log to confirm. The 12k hit was not during Stomp.
I was running /combatlog and FRAPS both so I'm sure my pc was bogged down some. Stopped frapsing after that and was leery to use Seed or pots while Brut was on me. Will try to check my Log later to see if I can find it.

Quite an understatement. It's quite a hassle to use with some of the lists so long. Great that new version can auto-add custom items in saved sets though. I'm sure it would be pretty hard to save a list of items to delete.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that slowness on your machine will have nothing to do with any delay between switching forms if you send it in a macro like above. It's all happening server side. You might see the graphics of the switch being slowed, but that shouldn't have anything to do with whether or not you can be hit in caster form at that time.
You said that you had /combatlog on... can you go back and check to see if you were indeed hit out of form?
