I'll bash out something that condenses my Holy Priest thread down to a few paragraphs. There really isn't a lot to say - our mechanics are pretty well understood, as compared to, say, rogues or feral druids.
It'll be up this afternoon.

From a "summarize this post" standpoint, I've always thought Fat Wallet has a good example of rambling posts which may be started by less frequently contributing members but may be needed to be kept up to date. Essentially, every second post in a thread is a "summary" post that's editable by everyone.
For the purposes of this forum, allowing anyone to edit the summary could get dangerous.

Perhaps we could get a list of these threads in the OP of this thread.

I'm thinking about migrating my shaman healing guide from the WoW forums to here:
WoW Forums -> Murderbot's Guide to PVE Healing
But I'm not sure. Should I prune out all the sections that relate personal opinions/preferences and stick to facts/figures only?

Healing is like music. The magic doesn't lie in the notes, but in the space in between.

That thread, while a pretty good discussion, isn't really what I think people are looking for in terms of "make a sweet informational thread about your class" although instead of class, it should be more like "... class spec A" for hybrid classes (ie: warriors shamans paladin druids priests)
I recently started playing my druid again, and a post that was, in effect: Do This: X. would be pretty helpful (for healing, the feral mega thread is pretty decent as far as that goes) Back in the day when I only played my druid it was easy to keep up on the theorycrafting and gear choices and specs and so on for resto... but now I'm playing three different classes on and off, it would really be nice for some one to just tell me what to do, instead of figuring it out for myself. That sounds like "whaa, I'm dumb" but I'd honestly just like to help my old guild out in Kara on occasion without having to pour over a spreadsheet for 2 hours.

You were missing the () at the end of Feral Charge (Bear), this is necessary otherwise WoW thinks you're trying to cast Feral Charge Rank Bear.

Probably a good idea, as I'm busy with Elemental, and I don't think Gurg is planning on doing anything.
One other thing: any Mage/Lock/Priest/Druid caster dps theorycrafters want to do a teir comparison between the classes/talent builds/patches?
Looking at 8 different specs, two patches, and then graph dps against "best gear for T4/5/6" levels, to see how various specs compare.

I am currently working on a Tree Form Compendium as well, complete with a spread sheet and gear optimizer. I do have a question, Werebeef, but how do i host a spread sheet?
So far I have put a lot of time into it, and is about half done.

Okay sorry I'm such a lazy bastard but I've made a post with quick links to the prominent threads
Most seem to be covered really well, big thanks to everyone who helped out. I'm looking forward to the Tree thread. I'd also like to see a moonkin thread at some point.

Warrior DPS
I love my char, a warrior, and I love numbers so.... I'll try gathering around all the info I got about DPS warrior mechanics, like how many flurried attacks you get for your crit percent; also a talent, enchant, gem choices, hit versus crit, and other very specific issues like "why [Relentless Earthstorm Diamond] gives more than 3% crit damage increase?" and how different buffs stack with talents (might, kings, motw with imp.bers.stance for example).
I think that it would be quite handy to put all that info in the same post, since you can find most numbers in different posts on this forum, but you'd spend lot of time searching in any case.
I liked the post mentioned in #31, quite correct and good layout :P

I've also thought to write a mage summary, but I've heard of a EJ or theorycraft Wiki wich should be in work, so I waited.
Is there any sort of Wiki in work?

Yes-- Boethius has been very busy of late and hasn't gotten much time to work on the back-end part of things, but there's a fair amount of content in place.

I lack the personal experience with end-game progression to be chomping at the bit to do this. If anyone was waiting on me to step aside before taking the reins on this one, consider it done. I am available via PM (which will net you my Gmail & AIM info if you ask nicely) to help anyone who is interested in authoring such a thread.
And, if it gets to the point where Balance Druids are the only spec lacking a comprehensive post, well, I'll probably make a stab at it.

Just FYI, I raided primarily as resto, with the occasional elemental Kara run prior to re-rolling on Dragonblight and going full time elemental. This didn't impact on my ability to create a thread, nor the TC calc sheets that I've produced.

I am an avid theory crafter but a casual player. I don't raid end game content and do believe that there may be a need for a thread on casual warrior.
The thread would contain information to the effect of multi-purpose specs, PvP, PvE and tanking balance, gear selection through PvP, badge, heroic dungeons, crafted items and in general how to optimize your casual warrior.
Do you think that this would be a good thing? I don't want to start something that does not have a market, but I do believe it does. Warriors are popular alts even among the end game raiding population, so what do you think?

I would think such information could be included in a fully comprehensive post about warriors. Really in a 'gearing up' section

I notice there aren't many posts regarding hunters in this section, and I'd be happy to contribute. I recently posted a comprehensive guide to the Marksmanship spec (which of course included a large amount of general hunter information) for my guild forums. It includes a stat/talent guide as well as macro information and so forth.
I've always played primarily Marksmanship and achieved outstanding results; so I don't have a tremendous amount to contribute regarding deep Beast Mastery and Survival specs. Would there be interest in a "Marksman's Guide", or would I be wasting my time and yours?
