Im wearing the Bracers of Eradication (5str/7sta) but after i got the Furious Shackles (5crit/5str) i saw my crit dropping, although it should stay the same (critrating 24 vs 19 + 5). I soon realized that the reason for the crit difference is the fact that i gain 12 agi when i equipp the Bracers of Eradication. Could someone confirm this behaviour?

You need your blue gem from Bracers of Eradication to activate your 12 agi 3% crit damage meta most likely.
Hi. Its my first time posting here, however I have been a reader of these forums for a while. I'm just curious how people who have used both or all the spreadsheets would rate the accuracy Landsoul versus the Grim or DrAllCOM3 sheets. Along this line of thought (and forgive my relative obliviousness here) but has rage generation with / without haste been modeled in combination with any of the other spreadsheets?
Why does the DW execute cooldown not consider haste gear or flurry?
Also, would it be possible to add a "heroism during execute" option or even "heroism recklessness execute". Both would be a very representative of actual in game situations.

Maybe I don't understand the question without the sheet opened - what do you mean by " the DW execute cooldown"? The 1.5s GCD isn't affected by melee haste.

The short answer to this is it does. The long answer is, if you are looking at the involved cells, you will see that they reference average MH and OH speeds. These numbers already take haste, flurry, and anything else which modifies attack speed into account.

before I split cycle and execute into separate sheets, this would have been problematic at best. As things currently stand, I could implement this rather easily. But I am loathe to do so. The reason being that the execute/cycle proportion is very rarely going to be a simple 80/20 time split, due to a multitude of factors, such as: ratio of warriors in the raid, are your other classes saving cooldowns for execute? Who has shamans and who doesn't? Blah blah blah. Add to this the fact that execute, even if just the warrior is involved is a damage split, not a time split, makes things more complicated. Until I work through at least approximate effects from these factors, I really don't wish to add a feature that could conceivably make the sheet less accurate.
Also, I wanted to apologize to everyone for not being around these passed two weeks. I had an outbreak of injuries, new and old, keep me from making it into the office. Hopefully I'll get some things done soon.
Also, I haven't played wow in about 6 weeks, so I may need to rely on you guys to keep be abreast (heh, I said breast) of developments in-game.
not sure if this problem is just me or because of the version of excel i use but everytime i load up the newest version (321b) i get the following error msg
*edit* i just downloaded all the excel sheets from blavigne Profile, blavigne Details - FileFront.com from V310 to v321b and i get the same error for every workbook, now thinking that my version of office is corrupt i went ahead and did an uninstall & reinstall and i still get the same error any help would b greatly appreciated
"Microsoft Office Excel
Excel encountered an error and had to remove some formatting to avoid corrupting the workbook. Please re-check your formatting carefully."
and thus after clicking ok and enabling macros things get messed up dps numbers go down the drain into the region of #N/A and after countless clicking of the fix it button it still is teh broked so once again dunno if it's just me but yeah that's what i'm getting when i use the newest version.
just an FYI i am using Microsoft Office Excel 2007
**Update April 09/2008
Went ahead and changed my Macro Security settings to fully trust the workbook after Fogbug's suggestion but it doesn't help macros aren't the problem i'm getting the formatting error b4 macros are even disabled/enabled. I also went ahead and forwarded the dps spread sheet to a friend of mine that also has Office 2007 and he is also having the same issue, now i'm pretty sure not completely sure tho but sounds like 2003 users arn't having any problem with this so any help would be greatly appreciated.... *cry* i'm in withdrawal i need this to work!!!!
Change your security settings to make Office trust the spreadseet fully. I don't have access to Office from here and can't say exactly how this is done but that is almost definitely your problem
This is a request for some assistance. Since I'm not playing right now, I was wondering if someone would be so kind as to compile a list of things that need to be added/tweaked/fixed. In particular, the new content from 2.4. Not knowing what I'm looking for would add a lot of time that I would prefer to use for other improvements/developements.
I have not yet spent too much time on playing around with the newest version, but I would like to note the following things:
1.) Concerning 2.4 changes: The Shard of Contempt is missing among the trinkets. I assume that i am not the only one really interested in seeing its theoretical effects.
2.) Akil'zon's Talonblade, dropping from Akil'zon in Zul'Aman is missing in the weapons list.
3.) The last version I used did not include dedicated execute weapons. When using this function in the new sheet I have stumbled across the following problem:
When leaving the values true/false at default value, the sheet works fine. However, when changing these values, the sheet for the respective equipment set completely screws up, yielding #XXX errors in most fields. This seems to be caused by my using a German language Excel version. Since the value for the "dedicated execute weapons"-field can only be "true" or "false" but in the German language version would have to be "wahr" or "falsch" (which are actually the default values but are changed to "true" or "false" with any change to this), any changes to this field make the sheet unusable.

I´ve read somewhere else in this boards (me thinks it was the 2h PvE Endgame Thread) that the expertise is about equal to 85 AP. The Proc has 45s internal cooldown (also from the same thread i believe) with 20s duration, so roughly 30% uptime. Either my napkinmath is WAY off, or this trinket is hands down the very best, especially for arms, you can get.
44 expertise is way more then 85 ap. In fact most spreadsheets show it at around 1.3 sep of str, so using this calculation its worth about 125ap. The proc is 45 sec cooldown after it procs with around 6 second proc time for me so 20/51 = 40% uptime aka 80-90 ap. Yea the trinket is ridiculously good, although DsT is still SLIGHTLY better for me. It does outperform everything else by huge margin though , with the exception of the one ugly trinket : Solarian Sapphire, that i do use on all sunwell fights QQ.
Hm, the expertise should be more than 85 AP if you`re not capped on expertise, although not much more (Sheet shows it at 115% of STR-Value, so slightly above 100 AP is probably more likely). The proc can be valued at approximately 75 AP. I agree that the shard looks to be better than most current endgame trinkets, however, when just putting in the 44 expertise rating and the 75 equivalent AP, the spread sheet results show values even below those of using BC, TT or MoB, let alone DST (T6 level gear). A simulated calculation would therefore be good to determine the real value.
Thairne probably just typoed there. The AP proc averages up on 85 AP, not the expertise. So it's 85 AP (which is the same for everyone) and 44 Expertise rating (which you will have to use a sheet for).

Actually I didn't. Give me a second and I´ll dig up the post I refered to, stating the expertise to be roughly equivalent to 85 AP.
Edit: Post found.

Never trust your own shabby memory... I stand corrected.
Still, entering the 44 rating together with the 85 AP from the proc in the newest spreadsheet increases my dps in my current gear (mostly T6 level with Cat´s) by quite some dps in favor of the shard. It´s only second to the DST, but my soul be damned, I just have to wear that crappy [Icon of Unyielding Courage] to at least get close to the hitcap without the dreadboots...

While "never socket hit" generally holds true for a warrior beyond the soft cap, this is not the case below said cap. I would prefer socketing hit to using the Icon of Uyielding Courage.
Well my alternatives are rather dimm.. The only "good" trinkets I have are DST and the Shard. Guess I´ll have to play the spreadsheet a little if using some other items with hit will help, although there are superior items for me. Now, if just the dreadboots.... -.-
The use-effect is neat tho if you chain it with deathwish and exec proc

Do not know where else to post this, just to clarify the 45 seconds count from the moment it procs, so 25 seconds net time after the aura has faded.

If Dreadboots would cap you then you should look at Nyn'jah's Tabi Boots until you get them they are actually quite good till then.
Will take a look, but I snatched some Lionseye from the Gbank yesterday and put them in my Skullshatter Warboots. Nothing great, but it helped, together with some gear switchings, to increase my Spreadsheet DPS by ~50 DPS. My Critrate is already awfully low, so I wouldnt want to decrease it further with leatherboots (besides, no leather touched my char since basically lvl 40 3 years ago :P).
In Warrior_Sim.xls, page sExe1 (and all the other similar mechanics pages), cell H47 (the DW Execute cooldown) uses the formula
=IF(B21=E21,B21,H48/((H48/L10)+H52))
B21 and E21 are the base MH and OH weapon speeds. If they're equal, then it sets the DW Execute cooldown to the un-hasted MH speed B21, ignoring the effects of flurry, heroism, and haste rating. I think this is part of why the sheet penalizes matched speed weapons during executes so much. The correct formula should be
=IF(B21=E21,L10,H48/((H48/L10)+H52))
Also, cell L10 incorporates haste effects by multiplying (1 - haste%) on at the end. It should divide: 1 / (1 + haste%).
Looking at the execute sheets, it doesnt look like it uses Bloodthirst during the execute cycle. I think that should be there since its more damage with proper gear, but Im not sure how to model it. Im trying to figure out a way to determine how often you get 30 rage while executing, but the only way that seems accurate so far is some sort of binomial distribution.
