Quick update regarding any Elemental Shamans who are keeping track of this development. I have started "Rawr.Shaman.Elemental", The model will be heavily based on Bink's spreadsheet so I expect to get a beta out soon'ish, hopefully end of next week.
The first version will be relatively basic, as I soon as I get it stable and tested I'll start pushing for more features

|
I knew I forgot something
To add more one handers just open Tools->Item Editor and click Add. and enter item id from wowhead link for example. It should load item info from armory. Regarding Maelstrom yea that's a bug currently, Rawr doesn't know about which model allows dual-wielding so it shows all one-hand weapons as available for off-hand. I'll just switch it to main hand, armory for some reason has it listed as one-hand.

I'm not really sure how to interpret this. When you start Rawr and go to Enchants or Buffs tab do you not see anything? Do you have BuffCache.xml and EnchantCache.xml in your folder? What is their size?

Thank you for all your hard work Kavan. One thing I noticed compared to Vontre's spreadsheet is that it seems to value haste less than Vontre's spreadsheet does, across all specs. A striking example is that lists [Flametongue Seal] as significantly superior to [Fetish of the Primal Gods], while on Vontre's spreadsheet they're practically identical.
[Quagmirran's Eye] is also listed a lot lower than I expected.

How can I add enchants to RAWR? For example, the new helm glyph: [Glyph of the Gladiator] for bear or the new cloak enchant: Enchant Cloak-Steelweave (12 def).

[Flametongue Seal] and [Fetish of the Primal Gods] are almost the same for me for fire spec. I get 21028 vs 20506. Seems like you're getting a bigger difference? What settings are you using?
[Quagmirran's Eye] was low because I wasn't modelling the proc. It should be added now.

Kavan, i have them in my folder yes, and it works for the bear and cat modules of rawr. The sizes are 111 and 150kb approximatly anyway.
When i go to the buff and enchant tab, the list is just blank, nothing to choose except for Greater Stats on Chest being the only one available.

Those sizes are too small. I'm guessing you first ran Rawr before you installed Rawr.Mage. Just delete EnchantCache and BuffCache and it should work.

You can edit the EnchantCache.xml file to add an enchant.

I've read through all the rawr pages, but I still have a question.
Are the so called ratings calculated like a spreadsheet or through a real simulation? If it's the latter there must be a lot of calculations being run for each release.
I hope someone can enlighten me on that subject .

It's entirely up to each model how it comes up with the ratings. As far as I know all current models in development use a "spreadsheet approach". A real simulation would most likely be too slow for this purpose.

Mh, so all the rawr models are just like spreadsheet, very comfortable and informative ones I have to add. Thanks for your info.

I must confess to my stupidity. I totally expect the answer to this question to be somewhere very obvious, but I just couldn't find it on the wiki.
I downloaded the program, and the latest update for the warlock module. However, I can't get it to work. Once I start rawr.exe, it only shows me the bear and cat modules.
There was no dll in the warlock module, so I assume I must compile my own, using the given files?

If you downloaded the source then yes you would have to compile it on your own. As far as I know there was no public release of warlock dll module at this point.

Kavan, is Rawr.Mage correctly modeling the Alchemist's Stone - Items - World of Warcraft (Old and new Alchemist Stone)? They seem lower to me than expected.
Edit: This Rawr.Mage rocks BTW, thank you for putting in the time to get it up and running.

Brilliant news, I've used Rawr since the relatively early beta's for my Druid and I'm very much looking forward to the Hunter version.

Just a little update... I know I said I was hoping to release b11a last week, but that didn't happen due to being very busy with preparing for and going on a trip. I'm finally back now, and hope to release b11a soon.

Rawr never has imposed unique restrictions on gems. That's just one of a ton of changes in 2.4. Most models are being written for 2.4 already.

Kavan covered most of the pertinent points - I haven't had any official release of the warlock library to date. If anyone is interested in testing it / providing feedback you can send me an email at chris(at)bennight(dot)com or pm me here.
As always you can just download the latest code and build it as well (C# 2008 express edition is a free download from microsoft).
The warlock module itself is in a working state - it doesn't model set bonuses, some metagems, and any on proc/use effect, but should be reasonable for basic items/stats/enchants. It also does not model mana gains (food, buffs, pots, SP's, etc.) but instead uses lifetap exclusively.
Once I get those outstanding items resolved I will be ready for a public release, but in the interim, as mentioned above, anyone who wants to test the features that are already there is more than welcome to, and feedback is always appreciated.

Maybe I'm missing something but I'm guessing since people are playing around with the Mage version that it's currently possible to download some/all of the other class models that are in the works? If that's the case then were are they downloaded from? I would like to see the mage one but for the life of me I can't seem to find it when looking at the Rawr page on the druid wiki or at the codeplex site.

I have been attempting to install and run Rawr.mage b2 and I have encountered some issues. I install as directed by extracting Rawr b11 and then extracting Rawr.mage b2 over this and overwriting files. Everything seems to work fine in the bear and cat modes, but when I go to the Models menu and select Mage I get the error "Input string was not in a correct format". Any suggestions as to what I might be doing wrong?
