Now all we need is a good combat log based visualization to match - so we can compare actual performance with theoretical performance.
WoWWCardioRaid does an ok job, but could be better for focusing on the relevant things (eg: Show me scorch uptime, when I use my cooldowns, what the average delay between casts is, etc)
This isn't really a request for Rawr, nor do I believe it's a "worthless" comment (in case someone wants to mod it away) - but perhaps other people in this forum have similar ideas about visualization of both theoretical and actual results.

One thing I haven't seen is what does "Innervate Delay" and Mana Potion Delay" mean? Does a value of 1 mean 1 minute or does it mean you do it every cooldown with a value of 2 meaning every other cooldown?

"Innervate Delay" and "Mana Potion Delay" are terms I borrowed from Efejel's original spreadsheet. Basically, it means that the abilities are used on cooldown, but that there is a delay between the start of the fight and the first time you pop it. This affects how many get used over the course of the fight.

Rawr Beta 16.1 posted!
DOWNLOAD: Rawr b16.1
This beta contains one new model, Rawr.Rogue! Let us know how it works. Additionally, this is expected to be our last version of Rawr aimed at WoW 2.x; all future Rawr development will focus on WoW 3.0, and WotLK. If you have any suggestions/requests for features/fixes in the new version of Rawr, now is the time to let us know! Post on our development site, Rawr - Home.
Beta 16.1:
- The beginnings of user-controlled item filtering is in. Let me stress that this is just the beginning. Currently it's hidden away in a menu item (Tools>Refine Relevant Items...), and only supports the most basic filtering by item type (Leather vs Mail, Maces vs Swords, etc.). In the future, we expect to expand upon this greatly, by allowing all kinds of filters (such as by source, by item level, etc), and will be making the UI to control this more intuitive. Please post on our development site, let us know what sort of filters you'd like to be able to create
- More improvements to the performance and accuracy of the Optimizer
- The Add Item dialog now accepts whole links to wowhead or thottbot
- Added Flame Armor Kits, Arcane Armor Kits, and Lesser Arcanums of Resilience to the default enchant list
- Rawr.Mage:
- - New custom chart to visualize sequence reconstruction
- - Couple fixes for sequence reconstruction, especially around handling threat
- Rawr.ProtWarr
- - Blessing of Kings now correctly affects Agility

just simply excellent
I've just downloaded 16.1 and it's simply excellent, the visualisation tool is wondefrul, i now have an exact feeling of the fight with all cd and mana usage.
Great job, kavan and astrylian !
Just a suggestion, it would be completely awesome if there's some tooltip when you mouse hover the graphics about the cycle used and the cooldown in use. But it's still so great now, i'll go back to it.

After extensive testing of the visualisation module for mage i found a strange thing with the 2 48 11 fire spec :
http://www.filesavr.com/angayelle024811 xml file
1-heroism start just before 3:45 which seems very early
2-around 4:30 and before 5:15 mana is completely empty but the dps stay quite high
for comparaison the 40 0 21 spec seems quite ok excepting again the early heroism.

Found it, the drums of battle setting is responsible of the bug, by switching off the visualisation become much more logical for fire.
but the arcane spec still show heroism at 3:45...

The tankadin module still doesn't calculate crittability correctly (not surprising, since there haven't been any changes to it since the initial release, I think?). It warns you about being crittable as long as you are below 505 defense - which is neither correct now (Anticipation gives you 20 defense), nor will it be correct next patch.

Ugh... I'm sorry, protadins. I keep mentioning that to our protadin dev, and he keeps saying he fixed it, but forgot to check it in, and will check it in soon, and never does.
Regardless, you can safely ignore it; it's just the display on the left that's counting it wrong; all the actual calculations that build ratings are correct (or so he assures me).

Sequence visualization will only be as good as the sequence reconstruction. This means that without SMP solver enabled the results will not be good in most cases (specially when there are many cooldowns involved). To enable SMP solver you have to enable integral mana consumables and segment cooldowns for display in advanced options. You can read more about how to tweak the advanced settings to get it working for your specific case in codeplex wiki ( Rawr - Home).

I seem to have a similar problem as angayelle, but mine isn't related to drums.
I have segment cooldowns and Integral Mana Consumables activated, the problem however seems to be that it doesn't uses all of the Mana Potions & Gems if Flamecap & Destruction Potions are checked.
With Destruction Potions & Flamecaps:

Spell Cycle says: 2x Mana Potion and 3x Mana Gem, but as you can see only 1 Potion and 2 Gems are used.
Without Destruction Potions & Flamecaps checked:

Spell Cycle says again: 2x Mana Potion and 3x Mana Gem, but as you can see this time the Sequence actually uses the second Potion and the third Gem.
Link to .xml File (I hope this one works, otherwise PM me if you want it per Mail):
saphya.xml - FileFront.com
And thanks for the effort you put in this tool Kavan & Astrylian, it is a tremendous help for the mage community.

I'm not sure I can do much for this specific case. The timings are really tight here. Both mana pot and mana gem are like a few seconds off from being able to be used without disrupting other cooldowns. Main cause why this happens is the resolution of the solver is only 30 seconds so in case of tight timings such as here it can have some problems. I could add some special case handling for this specific case, but more likely than not there will be some other extreme case that won't be covered. I might add another option to control the time interval for segmentation, but nothing short term for now.

First off, thanks to Astrylian and all the model developers for the amazing program!
I use it for my Feral druid and always peek at the other modules. However, I'd love to be able to use it for my Elemental Shaman but there's obviously no model for it yet. Is there any plans to implement this at all since it's probably one of the easier ones to do (only 2-3 possible spell rotations with only 3 spells)?
Unfortunately I have no programming knowledge myself, but would be willing to contribute in any other way possible.
Thanks again, keep up the good work!

Why one of the potentially easiest models, Elemental, is one of the last to have a model written for it is one of the great mysteries of the world. However, it's too late, by this point. Now we're working on support for 3.0, so ElemShams are no longer super easy to model. Yet we still need someone to do so. Pass the word around, we need a C# developer that also is knowledgeable about Elem (in 3.0).

Right, well it's been long enough so if no one better qualified is already looking at it, I might as well give it a spin! My best friend is a C# pro and I know enough about current shammy mechanics to model it in a spreadsheet, so we're gonna have a look at it tonight and see if we can make any headway. If we can get something reasonable to model current (simple) mechanics, then I'll start contacting the proper theorycrafters in the Elemental thread and see if we can get something sorted for 3.0 (or whatever patch we're on when we get to this stage!).
If you have any other information other than what's in that post, let me know and I can email you or whatever.
Cheers!

Is the hunter part of this program incomplete? I've just had a look at this program for the first time and am getting some absurd values.

Well, that was written quite a while ago, and Rawr has evolved a bit between then and b16.1, but nothing too much. The big thing though is the switch to Rawr 2.0 which we're working on right now, which changes alot of this. Best thing to do is join the dev team, so you can work off the latest code base, where there are alot of changes. Send me an IM, cnervig@hotmail.com on MSN or Astro tSD on AIM. Or if you can't IM, just e-mail is fine too.

Indeed, as describe earlier and in the readme, the Hunter model is only complete for BM hunters right now. We're working on that.

Mmm, I noticed that, however I tested using my current spec which is BM. The haste values are completely off, to the point where its putting ilevel 128 items nearly twice the value of ilevel 159 items. After factoring out anything with haste the values look semi-accurate, the options are very limited compared to spreadsheets so it's hard to see whats going on. Like I can't view where to change my latency or boss armor values, as a result it looks like some of the weightings are skewed. Also the bows are completely off, I don't know what the issue is here, I'm assuming the same issue that haste is having.
Cheers.
EDIT: Just had another look, 1:1 is giving values you'd expect to see from 3:2 and vise versa. Which would explain some of the haste issues. With the 1:1 setting (assuming its actually shows 3:2 dps) the results may be correct assuming the latency is set to 0, still the haste weighting is a little high but closer to realistic, be nice if you could view the shot rotation (although that would be useless come 3.0). There's varying issues with the Buffs panel, i.e. buffs that don't affect range are counting and some buffs aren't doing anything that should. There's a lot of other stuff missing/not working, wasn't sure whether to initially post it if it was already known that the hunter model was incomplete. Sorry if the stuff I'm posting is already known.

Ya, sorry about Tankadin being so buggy. I was in middle of developing it when I quit WoW so it never got fully completed. The bug is that it essentially counts the +.6% crit rate from bosses (instead of level 70s) twice, it is just a display issue and doesn't effect the actual results.
I am coming back to WoW for WotLK so I am going to complete/update Tankadin for 3.0, including 70-79. I will also eventually update Healadin, but only for level 80. Please let me know any suggestions you have for either module.

We're working hard to get Rawr 2.0 ready for WoW 3.0. However, there are quite alot of models, and many of them are unmaintained lately. If anyone can help fill in some of these blanks, please PM me. You need to be an experienced C# developer, and have an understanding of the class/spec's mechanics as they have been changed in WoW 3.0. I'll be available all the time to help with the development and questions about Rawr's framework, etc.

Good to know that there's someone modeling a DK. I've been a long time user of rawr, starting back on 2.1, and I would definitively miss it on WotlK playing a DK. Just a question about it, will it have a model for each tree (i.e. Frost tank, unholy tank, blood dps) or will it be reduced to tank and dps with customizable talents?
This question also applies to bear/cat models.

Current plan is 2 models, one for Tank, one for DPS (is there a name for those yet? Tank Knight and DPS Knight? Something like that? I dunno), with customizable talents and attack rotations.
