I just deleted the Kalecgos Strats thread.

I'd like to ask that, despite the flurry of excitement over the PTR and actually having new content, people refrain from divulging and theorycrafting/speculating over strats for the raid encounters in Sunwell Plateau. I realize this is just a small gesture, and that this information will continue to circulate on World of Raids, MMO-Champion, the official forums, IRC channels, Bosskillers, and so forth. I can't do anything about those, but I do have some control over this little corner of the internet, and I'd like to do my part to help preserve the longevity of this morsel of content for which we've been waiting the better part of a year. We can all go back to bitching about the lack of content soon enough, but for the time being I think it's ultimately harmful to the high-end raiding community to turn every boss into a collective endeavor. This is our content. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Once there a ton of kills of a given boss, we can go back and reflect on the details, compare strats, and so forth. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. It's for the best, really.

Updated guidelines for the live 2.4 patch:

Once there have been 50 confirmed kills (via WoWJutsu or otherwise) of a boss AND at least one week has elapsed since that boss became accessible on the live realms, you can discuss it here. Short of that, requests for or discussions of detailed boss abilities, strategies, etc., will be deleted and posters will be infractioned.

Discussing, where relevant and appropriate in context, Sunwell progress, possible bugs, whether an encounter may be overtuned or may be a loot pinata, etc., are fine. Hopefully everyone understands the spirit of the rule. People who really want to spoil fights for themselves will no doubt find a dozen videos and bosskillers strats within a week or two, but let's keep it away from this forum for the time being.
