I'm gonna go with something like Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft because I wanna try out the new HT, Wild Growth and LS, maybe even Replenish. I know how good Splendor and Dreamstate will be, so no use going that route at the moment. After a few weeks when WotLK hits I'll be respeccing to something more Balance/Resto-like or maybe even Feral for easier leveling. Depending on my experiences and lvl 80 raiding, I'll pick a lvl 80 build. I think it's too early to say this now, although I'm leaning to a 11/0/60 spec, as I don't think Dreamstate will be worth that many talent points (as I explained in one of my earlier posts). Therefore, my reasoning is to use the next couple of weeks to try out some of the new talents in order to see how they work and how valuable they are, instead of trying to find "the best" lvl 70 build.

I'm not sure what you are saying here. Replenishment does not stack so 1-2 should be enough to cover the entire raid (I'm not sure if 2 guys with replenishment = 20 affected targets though).

My understanding is that one replenish will overwrite another, so if one surv hunter procs the buff it picks the 10 lowest mana classes and aplies replenishment. In a few seconds if another Surv hunter procs the replenish buff it will check to see who the 10 lowest on mana are and give them the buff, so there is a chance it will hit 20 people, if the 10 that got the buff the first time are no longer the lowest on mana, but if one of the people with the original replinshment buff is still low on mana the new buff will simply replace the original one.
Not sure if this is sill correct or not, but it is what I remember. Can anyone confirm?

I have been using variants of this build on beta.
Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft
Basically I just assume 14 balance always. Doing that, you only have a few points to shift around, and how you shift them depends on gear, glyphs, and what you will be doing.
The equation for nourish changes once you have 4 pc T7, since it gets a 5% bonus for "each of your heal over time effects on the target". I haven't been able to test it yet though.

It surprises me how many people are willing to spend 3 talent points on Nature's Grace. They changed it from 1 TP to 3 TPs just so restos had to give up some stuff for it and it worked for me. I don't think I can justify the 3 points for a half second off of a regrowth/nourish.
I am looking at this: Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft
Maybe 2 points in nature's grace, or a couple in replenish depending on how often it will actually proc if my rejuc gets healed over.

NG is so strong because of regrowth (same goes for Living Seed). How can you prefer sinking points into Natural Perfection, probably the weakest talent in the resto tree, over such a powerful haste effect? Being able to use regrowth to set up a hasted 2 secs HT is just icing.

you are right but i think natural perfection without NG is not that good :/
so I gonna go for 14 0 57 without replenish because I think reju is not as useful as the other abilities...at most when u heal tanks!
edit: what do you think how many points in balance are essential?

Every restoration build I come up with have 14 points in Balance for Nature's Grace and Nature's Splendor.

After sunwell and the amount of raid damage, any ability I can take to lower incoming AoE dmg is a good thing.

I have been unable to find a description of the threat characteristics of living seed. Have any tests been performed?
1. Does the application of the seed cause any threat?
2. When the seed "blooms", is it threatless, much like the lifebloom bloom?
3. If not, to whom does the threat get assigned, and at what rate?
If living seed assigns AoE threat to the recipient when it blooms, then it may be another one of those utilities that shouldn't be on a tank at the start of a messy large pull in a raid. We may need to avoid regrowth for the first several seconds on such a pull, and try to stick to hots so as not to plant a seed.

Unless I'm missing something, how does Natural Perfection help reduce incoming AoE damage? Mob spells can't even crit in the first place to proc it, and if a melee mob crits you in a raid you tend to be instantly deceased.

Indeed, it's a pure PvP talent and has been picked up by resto druids in TBC due to lack of any better talents. The 3% crit is such a poor improvement that it should be the first talent to be ditched in any post 3.0 raiding build. It becomes slightly better in WotLK because you will probably cast more direct healing spells (HT, Nourish) than you are doing now and it also has some synergy with LS, but it will still be the worst resto PvE talent after Natural Shapeshifter and Furor. I'd take Nature's Grace over this one any day.

Since the word "group" does not refer specificly to "raid" or "party" and I didn't see it explicitly mentioned anywhere I just have to ask: Does it affect party/raid or is it a "smart"heal now?

Since nothing changed on tooltip over TBC version, I would expect the group = party here. (and it doesn't specify the numbers, make it unlikely the raid wide).

So are people in the beta actually using healing touch now as part of a regular rotation? Curious because I see builds incoprating points towards things like empowered touch and we are so tight for point spend as it is. I've seen a lot of theorycrafting but no one actually saying that in practice they are using it and I'd love practical confirmation before spending points in that direction. (For the record, I'm a casual 5-man/10 man raider w/ altitis, so I last cast healing touch, um..a very long time ago in a galaxy far far away).
Thanks!

I am not 100% sold on this, I may be wrong (it would not surprise me if I was) but I thouhgt I had seen it proc off of the arcane buffet or when below on the demon phase when he signle targets a shadow bolt. However a quick glance over a few WWS does not show me gaining the Natural Perfection Buff at any point (not even when an MCd person attacked this poor tree). It is odd I really thought I had seen it proc before. Either way it is not a big deal in my current 16/0/45 spec, I would jsut be 19/0/42 if I did not have it, so if I go into a BG or something it is there at least.
Now then, the real question will be where to spend my remaining two talent points on this build:

"On-crit" effects like Natural Perfection can proc from non-crit damage if you're wearing resilience. For a simple example, if you have 10% crit chance reduction from resilience, go stand in a bonfire and notice that roughly 10% of the ticks will proc NP. Perhaps you saw the effect on a past raid where you were wearing some PvP gear that you've since replaced?
Anyway, I've always been a fan of Empowered Touch for bigger NS+HTs. I guess Replenish is the other viable option - I'd be a lot more enthusiastic about Replenish if it affected Wild Growth as well as Rejuv, however.

When learning some of the fights I used to wear some s4 for a little extra stam, so it might be, oh well at least I know now!
Empowered and Replenish are really the only 2 viable options, so I get something beneficial once every 3 minutes or something that will only proc on tanks since Rejuv will get Overhealed...guess I will wait and see if they make any changes to Replenish or anything else.

Replenishment procs whether target is at 100% or not.
That said I don't personally sign to the idea that hots always get overhealed as that's not really been my experience so far in WoW.

8/0/53 is what I'm planning as a lvl 70 build. With the new numbers on beta I actually like Wild Growth. I decided that it just is better than Nature's Splendor. For my Lvl80 build I'm not yet sure how much HT I'm willing to add, but up from Lvl71 I'll take NS. It will be interesting how fast 3.1 will be introduced and if Dualspec will be part of the Leveling. So basically 11/0/60 will be my plan for Lvl80.

Level 70 builds..
14/0/47.. Probably the build I'm gonna go with till the expansion hits..
But to play around with WG, see what the hype is about.. I'm kinda torn between these builds..
5/0/56 - Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft [Pick up Replenish]
7/0/54 - Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft [Replenish vs 2 Nature's Majesty , 1 spare point]
Edit: Regards to 2 Nature's Majesty rather than Moonglow, 2/2 NM+ 1 NP gives 5% crit to HT and Nourish, which somewhat contributes to the "Living Seed" aspect of the build :/
A couple questions..
With the HT glyph and the new HT, HT falls below the 1.5 second GCD. Does Imp. HT seem worth it anymore?
Moreover, with NG proccing in the 14/0/47 build, getting imp. HT will result in 0.5 s casts(3.0 base, 2.5 w/ talents, 1.0 w/ glyph, 0.5 w/ NG proc). Do we really need Nourish? (Or is it all Haste based, making numbers more quirky..?)

I wouldn't pick up the HT glyph for 3.0 at all. Having a big emergency heal, even on a 3 minute CD, isn't something I'm going to give up for a pseudo flash heal. I'm undecided between the 8/0/53 with moonglow and 6/0/55, shifting 2 points into empowered touch.

In a Blizzcon article I read today, the devs mentioned that Glyphs will be tied together with the dual-talent system.
In my opinion, I'd rather walk around with two sets of Resto builds, rather than Resto-Balance, Resto-Feral combinations. It would allow me to choose between a 1:[small number of targets] versus a 1:[raid healing] talent spec, increasing efficiency. I doubt they would allow talent switching "on-the-fly", but maybe available out of combat with a cooldown of 1 hour or so?.. A player can only hope
